The Post Republisher module allows you to easily clone, update and republish your content. With this module, you can quickly clone a post and update it. When you are done with the update, republish it to overwrite the original post with the updated content (and metadata). After republish, the cloned post will be deleted and never reach the front page of the site.
Activate Post Republisher Module
The Post Republisher is a Pro module. You need Admin Optimizer Pro to be able to access it.
In the Admin Optimizer page, click to enable the Post Republisher module, under the Content Management section. Press Save Changes to save the changes.

Configure Post Republisher Module
Navigate to Admin Menu → Admin Optimizer → Post Republishing. Here, you can select which post types to have the republishing feature.

Select the user roles to have the republishing capability.

Select which metadata to overwrite or retain. Options include:
- post author
- taxonomies (including categories and tags)
- custom fields
- post publish date
- post modified date

Note: these settings can also be configured on a per-post basis. In the Republish post, the options are available in the side panel.

Lastly, select if the comments (for the original post) should be deleted and whether the republish post should be trashed or deleted permanently.

Using Post Republisher Module
Navigate to Posts → All Posts. Under each post, you should see a new Create Republish Clone link under the Post title.

Click on it to create a republish clone of this post. Once cloned, it will open the post for editing. You will see a banner notification showing that this is a republish post.

Once you have done your update and editing, click the Republish button. This will overwrite the original post with this updated content and move itself to the Trash.
