Message from the ACMG Board of Directors
On behalf of the ACMG Board of Directors, we extend our heartfelt thoughts to all those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County, especially those experiencing significant loss or disruption.
We want to assure ACMG members, meeting attendees and exhibitors that the ACMG Meetings and Exhibits team has been closely monitoring the wildfire situation in Southern California and they will remain in ongoing communication with the Los Angeles Convention Center and Discover Los Angeles to stay informed of updates to ensure a safe and successful meeting experience.
The ACMG leadership recognizes the profound challenges facing Los Angeles during this time. We are committed to ensuring that our presence supports the city’s recovery efforts. Leaders in the Los Angeles’s tourism sector emphasize that one of the best ways organizations coming to LA can contribute to recovery is by continuing with planned events. They have shared that hotels and the Los Angeles Convention Center are fully operational and continue to safely host meetings and events.
Many of us feel called to support those affected during disasters. Here is a list of organizations and links to their websites that are aiding recovery efforts and assisting those impacted by the wildfires.
California Community Foundation, Wildfire Recovery Fund
The California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund supports the recovery and resilience of communities devastated by wildfires, particularly underserved and marginalized populations.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is working with its partners to provide shelter, food, emotional support and health services. You can support the Red Cross by making a donation online, by calling (800) 733-2767 or texting REDCROSS to 90999.
World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen’s Relief Team is in Southern California to support first responders and families impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
Project Camp
This organization offers pop-up camps for children who have been displaced by disasters and/or are out of school for the same reason.

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation
The LAFD Foundation provides vital equipment and funds critical programs to help the LAFD save lives and protect communities.
Donation Centers Open in Impacted Areas
The City has announced donation drop-off locations to support families, residents and workers impacted by the LA wildfires. Donation items are requested based on reported community needs.
