Villa Suburbana

Robles situada en el espacio suburbano norte del municipio Flavio Aurgitano, en la Zona Arqueológica de Marroquíes Bajos. Se trata de una propiedad que ha conservado una zona residencial y gran parte del área productiva vinculada a la producción de aceite. La villa, con una primera fase más modesta que adscribimos a comienzos del s. I d.C., acometerá a lo largo de la segunda mitad del II d.C. importantes transformaciones en todos sus sectores. Entre éstas destaca las llevadas a cabo en la pars, con la construcción de una de las instalaciones de mayor magnitud vinculada a la producción del aceite que conocemos en la Bética. espanolEn este trabajo los autores pretenden problematizar el comercio tardo-antiguo en el centro de la Lusitania a partir de la base empirica de las excavaciones en Alter do Chao (Abelterium), en particular el sector de la Casa da Medusa (tambien conocido como Ferragial d’el-Rei). Anforas, lucernas y terra sigillata africana y hispanica tardia se cuantifican y analizan en terminos estadisticos y estratigrafi­cos, para producir una evolucion cronologica de esta villa tardoantigua y fases estratigraficas para las importaciones de ceramica. Dada la falta de evidencia estratigrafica para la Antiguedad Tardia en Lusitania y especialmente en su interior, este trabajo pretende intensificar algunos temas de inves­tigacion relacionados con los fabricos de lucernas y las lineas comerciales de ceramica fina de mesa y anforas en la parte oriental de la Lusitania, donde las conexiones con la Baetica y Augusta Emerita son problemas cruciales. On 24th of July was conducted non-destructive geophysical prospection of villa suburbana dated to the Roman period and located near the village of Kabile, Yambol District. The investigation was carried out in a frame of an international project “Non-destructive archaeological and interdisciplinary research on settlements along the middle stream of the Tundzha River” running in cooperation of the Regional historical museum in Yambol and the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic (UKFFS/0878/2021).
The archaeological site is situated 3.1 km north-east of the Kabile village and 0.5 m east of the fortress wall of the ancient town of Kabyle. It is located along both banks of a modern water channel which empties in the Tundzha River.
The geophysical prospection, specifically geomagnetic, was conducted with fluxgate magnetometer LEA MAX in ATV mode. The total prospected area was 2.5 ha. During the prospection were identified at least 347 magnetically positive features – sunken features (pits) located mainly in the eastern part of the prospected area. In the middle of the northern field one bipolar anomaly was located, most probably remains of an architecture – collapsed parts of a building. A similar structure is located on the southern field. There were also detected another eight strong bipolar anomalies which could relate to production. If this interpretation is correct, they might be furnaces.
The geophysical team emphasized that the actual number of archaeological objects might be higher. Geomagnetic prospection identified and subsequently interpreted only anomalies with a sufficiently magnetically significant fill and characteristic shape. There might be other smaller and less pronounced objects near the identified ones.
The main objective of the geomagnetic prospection was a non-destructive survey of selected fields and identification of possible archaeological sites. The geomagnetic prospection is an important part of the archaeological project.

Villa Rotonda niezlasztuka.net/podroze/villa-rotonda/ Znajdująca się na wzniesieniu pod miastem Vicenza willa renesansowa, zwana La Rotonda, była i jest ikoną architektury stworzoną przez Andrea Palladia. Stanowiła ona także źródło inspiracji dla późniejszych willi projektowanych przez tego architekta oraz innych obiektów o charakterze willowym i pałacowym, wznoszonych w następnych stuleciach. Andrea Palladio Villa Rotonda, fot.: lindmanphotography.com Fundatorem budynku był Paolo Almerico-kanonik z Vicenzy, człowiek wszechstronnie wykształcony, poeta oraz bibliofil. Ufundował sobie rezydencję poza murami miasta, po tym jak zakończył działalność na dworze papieskim w Rzymie u Piusa III i Pawła V. Ze względu na lokalizację budowli na przedmieściach Vicenzy, rezydencja kanonika Almerico aktualnie zaliczana jest w typologii willi renesansowych do kategorii villa suburbana (tj. willa wiejska, obiekt mieszkalny zarządcy sprawującego nadzór nad terenami wiejskimi), jakkolwiek Andrea Palladio, publikując na kartach swojego traktatu projekt budynku, zaszeregował go do kategorii pałacyku, a nie willi.

The pleasant country-life around Antwerp, especially in the Leikwartier, can be partially reconstructed with divergent data. Some residents can be considered as members of a network with common financial and business interests. Some were relatives, other were friends. They met each other while engaging in joint activites, wandering and conversing, indulging in sports and games. As members of the Guild of Our Lady's Praise they practiced their catholic faith and devotion. (I.a. Nicolaes Jongelinck, Jacob van Hencxthoven, the Schetz brothers, Christoffel Pruynen, Daniel de Bruyne, Joris Vezelaer, Hans Franckaert). Raquel RUBIO GONZÁLEZ Universidad Complutense de Madrid RESUMEN A extramuros de la antigua ciudad romana de Pompeya se encuentra la Villa delle colonne a mosaico. Toma su nombre en referencia a las magníficas columnas cubiertas de delicados mosaicos que fueron halladas en el jardín principal de la villa durante los primeros trabajos de excavación (1827-1838) y hoy se exponen en el Museo Arqueológico Nacional de Nápoles.
