UML is considered as the standard for object-oriented modelling language adopted by the Object Management Group. However, UML has been criticized due to the lack of formal semantics and the ambiguity of its models. In other hands, UML models can be mathematically verified and checked by using its equivalent formal representation. So, in this paper, we propose an approach and a tool based on graph transformation to perform an automatic mapping for verification purposes. This transformation aims to bridge the gap between informal and formal notations and allows a formal verification of concurrent UML models using Maude language. We consider both static (Class Diagram) and dynamic (StateChart and Communication Diagrams) features of concurrent object-oriented system. Then, we use Maude LTL Model Checker to verify the formal model obtained (Automatic Code Generation Maude). The meta-modelling AToM 3 tool is used. A case study is presented to illustrate our approach.

In a company or vendor of inventory systems, it is necessary to carry out the productivity of a company, but it requires a large cost to build it. Then the results obtained from this warehouse leasing system can help vendors in managing their products to help the productivity of their companies so that vendors no longer need to create a system and build a physical warehousing system for transactions and leasing their own products by the system provide by the company. Product management is easy because it has available shelves and product settings so that the operator of a company or vendor who hires can monitor the data in and out of goods per day with guaranteed data integrity so that there is no error recording an item or product coming out or entering the warehouse because it has been recorded in the system database owned by the company.

The research proposes and evaluates a structured approach to the development of complex multiorganizational incentive architectures for complex sustainable supply chains. It is proposed that Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), a process for software and systems development, combined with SysML, a structured systems modeling standard, can be combined to design and test complex multiorganizational supply chain incentive architectures. Such an approach is a suitable for architecting complex 'system-of-systems' architectures such as 'Smart Cities'. A review of trends in associated literature is conducted to ground research design and scope: 1) Perspectives concerning sustainable, multistakeholder resource supply chain management; 2) Formal systems engineering and modeling practices (as relevant to multi-organizational and multi-stakeholder economic systems); and 3) Multi-stakeholder incentive architectures for sustainable resource value chain orchestration.

The healthcare processes and technologies in United States have improved significantly; however, there remains an issue of inefficient usage of available services in healthcare service delivery system at rural and urban locations, which appears to go wider as years goes by. The past research indicates that, practitioners of systems engineering have tried to solve this issue for separate units of the hospital, in different states, generating a need for overall healthcare system integration. In this paper, we propose the use of a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology to understand the complexities in healthcare service delivery system at urban and rural locations. It focuses on the interaction and collaboration among various stakeholders, healthcare service delivery system entities and patients in USA.

The UML was designed as a graphical notation for use with object-oriented systems and applications. Because of its popularity, now it is emerging in the field of embedded systems design as a modeling language. The UML notation is useful in capturing the requirements, documenting the structure, decomposing into objects and defining relationships between objects. It is a notational language that is very useful in modelling the real-time embedded systems. This paper presents the requirements and analysis modelling of a real-time embedded system related to a control system application for platform stabilization using COMET method of design with UML notation. These applications involve designing of electromechanical systems that are controlled by multi-processors.

Popular among systems engineers, SysML (Systems Modeling Language) is based on UML and replaces the modeling of classes and objects by block modeling for a vocabulary more suited to Systems Engineering.
