Le registre de la « dignité » fait aujourd’hui partie des revendications des mouvements sociaux contemporains à travers le monde, à côté des revendications liées à des questions matérielles ou des questions de droits, qu’il s’agisse du terme de « dignité », ou plus largement des termes d’ « indignation », de « logement digne » ou encore de « travail décent ». Comment comprendre ces revendications en dehors d’une approche essentialisant la dignité et la réduisant à un attribut naturel de l’homme, ou encore sans partir d’une définition a priori de ce qu’est la dignité ?
Afin de répondre à ces questions en s’appuyant sur deux années de recherches de terrain réalisées au Brésil auprès d’un de ces mouvement sociaux – le Mouvement des Sans Terre du Brésil –, Alexis Martig se propose de contribuer à la compréhension des revendications contemporaines de dignité, en pensant une anthropologie de la dignité en contexte de lutte sociale.
Pour cela, il revient sur ces expériences de participation et d’observation au sein du Mouvement des Sans Terre, et analyse les pratiques spécialement développées pour reconquérir la dignité des travailleurs ruraux brésiliens à partir des théories de la reconnaissance sociale (Taylor, Honneth, Fraser, Renault, Margalit). Ce faisant, l’auteur cherche ainsi à comprendre l’aspect moral de la lutte du mouvement des Sans Terre, ainsi que plus largement la part et le rôle des sentiments dans la construction et la négociation des hiérarchies sociales au Brésil.

This contribution is dedicated to an in-depth look at the cycle of the Gilets Jaunes protests that marked the French and European political landscape between November 2018 and the beginning of 2020. An unexpected social and political phenomenon, this movement accompanied the presidency of Emmanuel Macron and influenced his political agenda. Through “co-research” work done in direct contact with the movement, the essay analyzes the social and geographical composition of the participants, the political context in which it emerged, and its forms of organization and struggle. It argues that by subverting the frustration of social and geographical declassing, the Gilets Jaunes managed to constitute an unprecedented case of democratic counter-power.

En las últimas tres décadas un fenómeno ha sido presa en la sociedad
mexicana: la desaparición forzada en sus diversas manifestaciones. En
un marco general de violencia extrema, hemos sido testigos del proceso
de revictimización de luchadores sociales, estudiantes, defensores de derechos humanos y activistas transnacionales mediante la pedagogía de terror que implica la desaparición forzada. La desaparición de 43 estudiantes de la Escuela Normal Rural Raúl Isidro Burgos ubicada en el municipio de Ayotzinapa (Guerrero, México), fue el evento histórico que visibilizó la máxima expresión de la crisis social e institucional durante el régimen de la Presidencia de Enrique Peña Nieto.
Un evento histórico que puso en debate el sujeto de la desaparición forzada, las fosas clandestinas, la crisis de los dispositivos de justicia jurídica, las políticas de seguridad nacional, el aumento de actores militares en los espacios públicos, y la emergencia de una sociedad civil que exige la aparición con vida de sus familiares.
Al respecto, hemos conversado con la antropóloga feminista Descolonial Rosalva Aída Hernández Castillo para abordar la situación actual de las víctimas de desaparición forzada, y la organización de la sociedad civil como respuesta a la impunidad y el vacío institucional con relación a esta nueva economía de terror y de miedo que produce el secuestro como característica del narco estado mexicano.

Columnas La revuelta de los escombros. Por Francisca Márquez 31 DE OCTUBRE DE 2019 SIETE de la mañana del día siguiente a la gran marcha que aglutinó 1.200.000 ciudadanos en Plaza Italia y sus alrededores. Desde mi ventana observo que un hombre y una mujer caminan en dirección a la plaza, escoba y pala en mano. No son los únicos, más adultos y jóvenes vestidos de blanco se les suman. Todos barren los escombros que ha dejado la revuelta tras de sí. Agarro mi cámara, la bitácora y bajo rauda las escaleras, antes que la plaza pierda todo rastro de la ira ciudadana, antes que los escombros sean retirados y las huellas se disuelvan bajo las escobas. El suave sol de la mañana no alcanza para romper el gris monocromático de la plaza. Calles sembradas de peñascos extraídos de las veredas y de las tazas de los árboles hablan de la ira de la revuelta. La arqueología del escombro puede ser asombrosa en Plaza Italia, el inventario es interminable. Montañas de fierros retorcidos bloquean la puerta de la fuente de soda donde hace días tomé una cerveza. Acaricio esos fierros tibios que aun asemejan a sillas maltrechas, un suave polvo negro impregna mis dedos. En la esquina, un local sin ventanas ni puertas invita a entrar. Es la farmacia donde hace meses atrás increpé al vendedor por los precios exorbitantes de un remedio. Miro hacia adentro, no queda absolutamente nada. Un fuerte olor a orina impregna el lugar, a la entrada alguien escribió "baño de hombres", retrocedo. A unos metros de la farmacia en ruinas, un paradero de micro, retorcido y con sus vidrios quebrados. Nadie espera. Camino por Vicuña Mackenna y a pesar del paisaje desolador y gris, no puedo dejar de sonreir. Los escasos transeúntes se acercan a los muros que, a modo de pizarrón, ofrecen sus textos y dibujos. Sonrisas cómplices, comentarios al paso, fotos y breves conversaciones que se debaten entre el lamento del destrozo y la esperanza del cambio. Como un largo lienzo que invita a ser recorrido, me voy caminando junto a otros peatones por las amplias veredas de la avenida. A ratos me desvío por las bellas callejuelas cubiertas de escombros, todas las casas lucen rayados en sus muros, pero a diferencia de los indescifrables tag (firma graffiti), éstos se dejan comprender por el común de la gente.

Le présent ensemble n’entend pas se limiter à présenter les divers traits
de cette théorie bien qu’il existe encore très peu d’articles et d’ouvrages philosophiques en français. Il entend contribuer aux débats les plus récents
pour discuter et élaborer cette théorie de façon plus ferme. En outre, son originalité réside dans la confrontation, rare, de certains points de cette théorie à des travaux empiriques. De plus, il porte le souci de comparer, voire d’articuler délibération politique et délibération éthique. En effet, la première ignore et étouffe souvent la délibération éthique, qui pourrait sembler sans fin. Or, les débats réels, pas plus que leur analyse, ne peuvent s’en tenir à cette fiction.

The use of sortition accompanies the renewal of debates on democracy. In this chapter, following a brief overview of a few general traits pertaining to the political use of sortition, we will study its fundamental contributions on three levels. First of all, we will analyze how random selection can contribute to renewing the debate about the knowledge necessary to participate politically. For that we will develop four logical possibilities following the discussion between Socrates and Protagoras in Plato’s homonymous dialogue, and, subsequently, they will be exemplified through the debate regarding sortition in the Spanish political party Podemos as context for reference. Secondly, we will address the problem of sortition and its double potential to motivate participation and demotivate unwanted behavior and profiles. In this case, illustrative examples will be taken stemming from the authors’ own ethnographic experience. Lastly, it will be argued that sortition serves to produce a particular moral content within political participation, based on the idea that politics are a civic virtue, essential to the development of human capabilities, that must be stimulated and distributed en masse. This perspective contrasts with logics deeply rooted in activist environments that often hinder the declared objectives of those who are members of them, specially the alternation, when we think of political participation, between the ideology of the gift and the professional ideology, that is, the alternation between the militant’s apology of voluntary dedication and the advocacy of politics as a professional activity depending on the context.

يجب الأخذ بعين الاعتبار أن الأنثروبولوجيا السياسية أخذت شكل مشروع غير محقق على أرض الواقع، نظرا لتعدد معارف ومكتسبات هذا الحقل، بالإضافة إلى ثغراته وقصوره. يمكن أن نقول إذن، إن المعرفة والتمكن العلمي من تنوع النظم السياسية، أصبح يتشكل بشكل مثالي أكثر مما هو واقعي مع بلاندييه Balandier.

إن مشكلة إدراج الأنثروبولوجيا في الممارسة الاجتماعية تطرح حاليا بحدة شديدة، وربما أكثر في الأنثروبولوجيا السياسية، لأن هذا التخصص يمكن أن يساعدنا على فهم التحولات السياسية الحالية، وذلك بالتساؤل عن الموقف الذي يجب أن يتخذه الأنثربولوجيون أمام هذه التحولات؟ وما هو الدور الذي تلعبه الأنثروبولوجيا السياسية؟ وما الذي ستخدِمُه ومن ستخدِم؟ وهل هي حقل مستقل للدراسة؟

نحن لا ندعي في هذه المقالة الإجابة عن كل هذه الأسئلة، لأن النقاش ما يزال مفتوحا ولا يمكن تقديم إجابة نهائية. لذلك سنكتفي بتقديم حصيلة موجزة عما علمتنا إياه الأنثروبولوجيا السياسية عن تنوع الظواهر التي تدرسها. سوف نقدم في الجزء الأول من مقالتنا التيارات المختلفة التي شاركت في تقديم تعريفٍ نظري للسياسي. وسنناقش في الجزء الثاني الأنماط التي اقترحت بغرض تصنيف النظم السياسية. وسنضع في الجزء الثالث معالم الأنثروبولوجيا السياسية الجديدة التي تقع في إطار تحليل المادية التاريخية.

Apparue en 2015 en France, le terme de « collapsologie » est le néologisme d’une mise en récit sur base scientifique d’un Effondrement inéluctable de notre société « thermo-industrielle ». Faisant écho à d’autres théories écologiques plus anciennes comme le mouvement décroissance, cette notion, née sous la plume de Pablo Servigne, Raphaël Stevens et Gauthier Chapelle s’est diffusée en 2015 dans l’espace médiatique français avant de connaître une recrudescence en 2017. Cette recherche vise à la fois à étudier le discours de la collapsologie, sa rhétorique, sa structuration mais aussi sa diffusion par ses promoteurs, leurs conditions d’existence et les conditions d’énonciation de leurs discours. Nous proposons dans cette recherche une cartographie des espaces promoteurs des thèses de l’Effondrement. Pour ce faire, nous nous emploierons à polariser l’espace de la collapsologie en trois grandes sous-parties relativement autonomes. Respectivement : Les Collapsologues politiques, les Collapsologues de réseaux, et les Collapsologues universitaires.


Appeared in 2015 in France, the term “collapsologie” is the neologism of a narrative on the scientific basis of an inevitable collapse of our thermo-industrial society. Echoing other older ecological theories as the degrowth movement in France, this notion, this notion, from the pen of Pablo Servigne, Raphaël Stevens and Gauthier Chapelle spread in 2015 in the French media space before experiencing a recrudescence in 2017. This research aims at both studying the discourse of “collapsologie”, its rhetoric and structuration but also its dissemination by its promoters, their conditions of existence and conditions of enunciation of their discourse. We propose in this research a cartography of the spaces’ promoters of the Collapse’s theses. To that we will work to polarize the space of collapsologie into three large, relatively autonomous subparts. Respectively: Political Collapsologists, Collapseologists by Network, and Academic Collapsologists.

This study aims to reveal the changes that societies know as a result of the fundamental change known by the capitalist system, that has been based in its production processes on information rather than energy, so that technology has become the infrastructure upon which socio economic and political activities are based. And also because today›s struggle within capitalist society is raging over the domination of information and knowledge systems. These changes, which touched
the structure of capitalist society and the institutions of society, presented a set of perceptions and theories, including the theory formulated by Emmanuel Castles throughout his project «Networking Community in the Information Age». He tried to show the total possibilities offered by the Internet on the one hand to the countries and major economic companies to network in order to control the cycles of society and paralyze the mobility of its members, and on the other hand, to individuals and social movements to network and organize quickly and smoothly in order to resist the domination of the state and freedom from the dominance of large economic companies.
Technology and Internet help individuals create relatively uncontrolled spaces from state control, which have tightened control over public spaces, and have made from traditional media ideological tools, primarily serving the interests of global elites. Through the use of modern technology, individuals have been able to transform their individual and subjective messages into public messages, received
and interacted by a wide audience. Moreover, by relying on these means, individuals have become more capable to manufacture information resources, since the few representing the state were the only group capable of monopolizing information and owning its resources, through the control of traditional media. The Internet, therefore, provided individuals with a new and suitable platform for beeing formed and organized in relatively free spaces, and opened up new horizons for social and political change, because it now allows more than any other public space, to form collective action. So it is substantial for new social movements, including traditional ones. Even the labor movement that developed within the factory walls of the industrial age, its continuation now depends on the exploitation of the spaces and means provided by its era.

El diagrama de redes sociales digitales de #YoSoy132 presentado en esta tesis es un ejemplo para analizar un proceso complejo de visibilidad de redes sociales digitales. En esta tesis uso la metáfora cognitiva de Caleidoscopio de Subjetividades para indagar en vivencias de articulación de voluntades colectivas e ilustrar el sentido de reconfiguración constante entre subjetividades, para explicar e ilustrar el sentido de creación de identidades colectivas. Observe algunas  formas de producir, recibir y distribuir textos e imágenes desde las plataformas digitales. Hago uso del análisis semiótico discursivo para hacer hincapié en ciertos procesos de intertextualidad entre imaginarios sociales (un proceso de transtextualidad es un discurso nuevo a partir de discursos existentes), entre las generaciones de 1968 y 2012 en México, esto para explicar procesos de creación de dinámicas sociales y de narrativas colectivas en red, donde existe una amplia relación discursiva con otros referentes culturales. Tomo de ejemplo adscripciones colectivas emergentes, que crean información y datos, donde hay continuidades y también hay rupturas con narrativas ya existentes, y es en la arena de lo público que de forma tanto análoga y digital  se lleva una batalla por lo simbólico, en el mundo digital se potencializa una Estética Replicativa, que significa la creación de relación  de materialidades discursivas con textos e imágenes prexistentes. Analizo el fenómeno de replicabilidad dentro de materialidades discursivas de #YoSoy132 como ejemplo de militancia artístico político cultural que crea imágenes como prácticas semióticas discursivas que pueden leerse como un texto en el amplio sentido de la palabra.

Since 2011, and the so-called wave of the “Arab Springs”, the academic debate around protests and social mobilisation in sub-Saharan Africa has expanded, often questioning the perspective of political regime change or the role of social media networks mostly disseminated by young people. Researchers also seek to analyse the consequences of the limited media coverage of protests in sub-Saharan Africa compared to what is taking place in North Africa. This book seeks to go beyond such restrictive analytical lines and to understand the social, economic, and political processes underlying the Arab Spring and the more recent pro- tests in Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa (chapters 1 and 2).

El presente artículo se propone de analizar la construcción del concepto de “ciudadanía étnica” (Montoya, 2009) partiendo de un caso de lucha socio-ambiental específica, es decir, la lucha en contra del proyecto minero Afrodita, sus antecedentes históricos con la guerra de Frontera y sus enlaces con la masacre del Baguazo, en 2009. Reconoceremos, en el caso de la lucha Awajún y Wampís, cómo la tensión creada por las dinámicas conflictivas entre Estado y población nativa con el tiempo se va trasformando en el espacio dinámico de creación de nuevas identidades etnopolíticas.

De nombreux ouvrages sont publiés chaque année sur le féminisme, sur ses conséquences et son actualité mais notre ambition ici est de permettre d’y voir plus clair dans les composantes variées de ce vaste mouvement social.
Historique et politique, l’étude se veut aussi un état des lieux capable de provoquer de nouvelles formes de luttes.

When protest tactics build the movement. Performing illegal abortions in the pro-choice movement in France (1972-1975)

The following article focuses on the dynamic relations between a social movement and its protest tactics in order to demonstrate how contentious strategies contribute to “build the movement” namely to generate and to transform mobilizations. Drawing from the use of illegal abortions by the pro-choice movement in France from 1972 to 1975, it firstly studies how the performance of illegal abortions, as a form of protest, renewed collective action and enabled to bring together groups and organizations with different agendas. It then focuses on a micro social level to analyze how performing illegal abortions became appealing to activists with very different political backgrounds. Finally it studies the way illegal abortions, blurring the traditional boundary between reform and revolution, contributed to reposition the various organizations taking part in the movement.

Cette lecture du nouvel ordre régional s'inscrit dans la droite ligne des analyses, produites à la chute de Saddam Hussein en 2003, sur un « réveil » ou « renouveau chiite » (Nasr, 2006 : après des siècles de minoration politique, les chiites des anciennes provinces arabes de l'Empire ottoman auraient désormais saisi l'opportunité de s'imposer comme acteurs historiques sur les scènes nationales et régionales, sous la guidance du parrain iranien. Les développements occasionnés par la transformation, en Syrie, d'un moment révolutionnaire en une guerre internationalisée et confessionnalisée à partir de 2012-2013 constitueraient ainsi une accélération de ce mouvement d'entrée dans l'histoire d'une branche de l'islam qui, à quelques (notables) exceptions historiques près, aurait été confinée dans un rapport « quiétiste » au pouvoir. La traduction géopolitique de ce « réveil » serait la construction d'un « arc » ou « croissant chiite », s'étendant du Liban à l'Iran et au-delà vers l'Afghanistan et le Pakistan, en passant par la Syrie, l'Irak, le Yémen, Bahreïn et l'Est de l'Arabie saoudite . En d'autres termes, là où la référence religieuse islamique donnerait lieu à toutes sortes d'usages politiques concurrents dans les sociétés sunnites du monde arabe, au point de plonger ces sociétés dans un chaos idéologique et politique, l'islam politique chiite se trouverait aujourd'hui incarné dans une expression unique, dominée et dirigée par la puissance iranienne 2 . Si ce type de lectures est généralement le fait d'analystes peu familiers de la réalité des terrains qu'ils évoquent, ou enclins à aborder la mobilisation des acteurs islamistes à travers le seul facteur religieux plutôt que dans la matérialité de leurs pratiques, on ne trouve cependant, pour le nuancer, que des efforts de recherche restreints.

Avec plus de 25 ans d’existence, le mouvement No Tav représente une des mobilisations les plus vieilles en Europe : c’est à partir de l’an 1990 en Val de Susa, qu’il y a la constitution du premier noyau d’opposition populaire à la construction de la ligne Tgv (Tav en Italien) entre Lyon et Turin. Cette petite vallée alpine de soixante-dix mille habitants a montré à plusieurs occasions sa capacité de mobilisation, sa diffusion sur le territoire, son écho capable de se répandre bien au delà des frontières nationales : pendant l’été, n’est pas rare de trouver de sympathisants français, espagnols, allemands, parfois même canadiens, qui participent aux événements du mouvement No Tav.
Les militants No Tav de la Vallée – mais aussi de la proche Turin – poursuivent dans leurs publications à caractère collectif qui visent à approfondir les dégâts d’une ouvre nuisible et le récit de la mobilisation, plutôt dans le but d’amener une grosse enquête chorale sur le territoire. Comme c’est le cas du texte qui est devenu la référence pour tous ceux  qui veulent s’approcher de la lutte No Tav « A sarà düra! Storie di vita e militanza No Tav » . Ecrit en forme collective, par le groupe autonome qui se rassemble autour de l’occupation Askatasuna de Turin, le bouquin représente une enquête sociologique de l’intérieur du mouvement : le phénomène social qui cherche à s’étudier soi-même.

La lutte environnementale consiste en un mouvement de la part d'un groupe de personnes, constituées ou non en collectif, associations, ONG ou autres, qui se mobilisent à travers divers répertoires d'action afin de défendre la manière dont ils valorisent les milieux et/ou en réaction à des aménagements qui les modifient. L'environnement constitue la pierre angulaire de ces luttes, son horizon et/ou une ressource pour l'action.

Il cibo ricopre un ruolo fondamentale nella vita di ognuno. Non esiste nulla di più essenziale; esso costituisce la prima forma di nutrizione che non si esaurisce nel consumarlo, al cibo ci si rapporta e si mantiene una relazione piacevole, fino a viverlo, in alcuni casi, come una fonte di sollievo.
Per quanto il cibo appaia, attraverso il mangiare, come un’azione “naturale”, non è possibile ridurlo a una mera condizione di sopravvivenza: esso racconta molto di più di un semplice sfamarsi, è tradizione, cultura, storia. Molti studiosi sono d’accordo nel suggerire che, così come il linguaggio, l’alimentarsi rappresenta una «cerniera» tra natura e cultura.
Il valore simbolico e sacrale del cibo non risiede solo nell’alimento in sé, ma anche nella preparazione, che può significare dal più piccolo gesto prima di assaporare un frutto crudo, al più elaborato allestimento ricco di rituali tradizionali. Se pensiamo ai prodotti tipici D.O.P (Denominazione Origine Protetta), essi si distinguono non tanto nella forma, quanto nella sostanza data dal metodo di lavorazione.
Mangiare un piatto significa cibarsi anche della preparazione, che è cultura, “arte”. Affascinante. Tuttavia, nell’epoca della “frenesia” è stato fatto un patto col diavolo: il cibo veloce in cambio della tradizione culinaria. Il surgelato alla “Quattro salti in padella” non era bastato; come mostrarono già negli anni Cinquanta degli studi sulla pubblicità, i prodotti già pronti non soddisfano la necessità (o il senso di colpa) di voler o dover “creare”. Allora come conciliare il cucinare con la fretta delle abitudini contemporanee?
I vari programmi televisivi stile “Cotto e mangiato” insegnano come elaborare piatti semplici con “ricette veloci”, dove per queste ultime non s’intende un piatto essenziale, ma un’accozzaglia di cibi già pronti semplicemente mescolati, per dare la parvenza di un piatto saporito. Ebbene, ecco che oltre al sapore, a scomparire è lo stesso cibo.

La définition des usages légitimes du corps est au cœur de la réaffirmation catholique durant la seconde moitié du XXe siècle. A partir de 1978, Jean-Paul II développe toute une théologie du corps lors des audiences du mercredi et entreprend une critique du devenir des sociétés occidentales en dénonçant leur dérive bioéthique. C’est dans le rapport de chacun à son corps et au corps des autres qu’est le combat spirituel, la lutte entre l’esprit des évangiles et « l’esprit du monde ». La sexualité est le cœur de cette entreprise de conformation du désir au plan de Dieu. Cette résistance à la sécularisation du corps trouve ses relais dans la nébuleuse des associations catholiques pro-vie hostiles à la légalisation de l'avortement. Mais au début des années 1990, après l'expérience des "commandos", leur combat semble s'épuiser. Pourtant, contre toute attente, il va connaître un rebond notable durant la seconde moitié des années 1990 et renouveler ses cibles, argumentaires et militants. Ce renouveau s’explique par la conjonction entre les JMJ, l’émergence de la pensée anti-68 et la réorientation du combat homosexuel. La lutte contre la normalisation sociale des pratiques homosexuelles va devenir un levier de mobilisation très important au sein du catholicisme. Cet article en explore les raisons.

Los barrios periféricos de carácter obrero o popular congregan vectores estructurales de relegación propios del modelo de ciudad neoliberal, pero también espacios de acción social que persiguen construir cohesión social e invertir esos efectos perniciosos. Esta comunicación propone analizar esos espacios a través de varias líneas, en el caso concreto del barrio valenciano de Els Orriols. En primer lugar, se abordará la vulnerabilidad del barrio como situación definida por indicadores concretos, pero también como construcción política y como algo experimentado subjetivamente y que contribuye en cierto modo a una consciencia de relegación. Un segundo aspecto a tratar será la convivencia cara a cara como un proceso de construcción cotidiana de lugar. Una tercera cuestión será el desarrollo de formas de gobernanza que incluyan la participación. En esta tercera línea será de especial interés incorporar el vector de diversidad cultural derivada de diversos movimientos migratorios y considerar la articulación de los movimientos en relación con otras zonas de la ciudad y con contextos territoriales más allá de ella. Esas tres líneas analíticas serán precedidas de una revisión a los aportes teóricos y analíticos que se han realizado sobre otras ciudades españolas y de otros países. El cambio político al frente de la Administración municipal contribuye a definir un escenario alternativo a la vulnerabilidad. La gobernanza se suma a una conciencia histórica de relegación y de movilización social pero también a un imaginario sobre el barrio, para construir un escenario de alternativa a la vulnerabilidad agravada en contexto de crisis. Un escenario donde es clave la acción social y su visibilidad pública, pero que encuentra sus límites en la difícil extensión de esa acción hacia algunos sectores del barrio y a algunas experiencias y condicionantes institucionales que marcan la vida cotidiana de algunos habitantes del barrio, como los extranjeros en situación irregular.

Violence against women is one of the most persistent and widespread phenomena that human societies know and in many contexts its practice still proves difficult to eradicate. On the other hand, its perception and acceptance as normative are rapidly changing in every part of the globe, thanks to feminism, policies derived from studies of gendered violence, and global phenomena such as #Metoo. In this change, the medium of television has played and continues to play a fundamental role, both as a receiver and diffuser of the collective imaginary, and as a generator of its transformations. In this essay we ask about the specific logics that emerge from television narrative in relation to violence against women, especially around rape. Through a discussion of the different television formats and genres (fiction and non fiction, including broadcast, cable TV, streaming and video demand) we intend to examine the links beteween social change and television clichés in the representation of violence and rape, to see if and how these have changed over time. How does the culture of rape emerge and/or appear in various television genres and how is it changing in new streaming video content? What factors are most influencing the changes taking place in television representations of violence against women?

Le mezcal est la boisson identitaire des Mexicains. Issu de la distillation de l'agave, ce spiritueux est encore très mal connu en dehors de son pays d'origine. Ignoré du grand public, le véritable mezcal exerce une fascination transculturelle auprès des connaisseurs du monde entier. Cette eau-de-vie est aujourd'hui l'un des spiritueux les plus en vogue. L'histoire du mezcal c'est aussi celle du Mexique. Cette boisson symbolise la quintessence de la culture mexicaine. La fabrication artisanale, la large palette aromatique et la production biologique font la spécificité de cet « enfant terrible du Mexique ». Le renouveau du mezcal prend sa source au Mexique et aux États-Unis. Son passage par les circuits culturels internationaux participe à sa découverte et sa légitimation. Distillé et consommé principalement par les populations indigènes d'origine rurale, il a longtemps été ignoré, voire méprisé par les élites qui aujourd'hui en sont particulièrement friandes. Ce livre analyse le processus de réhabilitation du mezcal. Il donne à voir la manière dont se construit son nouveau statut symbolique, révèle les contradictions liées au développement économique du Mexique. Par là même, il mesure l'évolution des rapports économiques et sociaux qui sous-tendent ce processus. Combinant une analyse sociologique et historique, cet ouvrage propose au lecteur un véritable voyage au « pays du mezcal ».

Le voyage et l’appropriation des théories queer dans les milieux féministes francophones du Québec ont été particulièrement longs et ardus, appelant un questionnement non seulement sur les raisons de ce retard, mais aussi sur les dimensions qui ont permis, ultimement, l’intégration des théories queer chez les féministes francophones. Combinant des outils analytiques en provenance de la littérature sur la diffusion des mouvements sociaux (passeurs ou brokers, cadres interprétatifs, répertoires d’action collective, etc.) et une approche en idées politiques, nous analysons l’insertion des théories queer chez les féministes en deux temps. Dans un premier temps, les intellectuelles féministes critiquent de manière assez généralisée les théories queer, critiques regroupées en 3 axes : 1) la déconstruction des femmes et des lesbiennes en tant que sujet politique ; 2) l’investissement dans l’univers symbolique du politique comme espace de subversion, au détriment des relations matérielles et des structures de pouvoir ; et 3) la disparition de la spécificité lesbienne et l’absence de remise en question des privilèges masculins dans les mouvements queer. Dans un deuxième temps, le travail de passeur des Panthères roses–groupes queer radical–permet la traduction des cadres (frame bridging) et leur inscription dans un répertoire d’action reconnaissable des féministes, répondant ainsi à deux des trois axes de critiques. Nous avançons donc que ce rôle de passeur permettra d’ouvrir une brèche qui, rapidement, permettra l’inscription et l’intégration, même si conflictuelles, du queer dans les milieux féministes francophones.

Alors que les mobilisations des printemps arabes se déroulent au nord du Sahara, une partie de la jeunesse angolaise se mobilise contre les politiques de paix et le régime du président José Eduardo dos Santos. La vague de protestations que connaît l’Angola depuis mars 2011 révèle une partie des tensions sociales qui se cachent der- rière l’apparence d’une transition tranquille et réussie. Dans un pays encore très marqué par un long conflit civil, le discours gouverne- mental instrumentalise la crainte du retour à la guerre et répond avec violence aux protestations des jeunes angolais.

Para este texto propongo una recopilación no cronológica ni exhaustiva de las iniciativas del MPL, para analizarlas desde la óptica de la construcción de resistencias a la ciudad neoliberal y de la producción social del espacio, en el sentido revolucionario del derecho a la ciudad como traducción de un proyecto emancipatorio desde los territorios en el actual ciclo de luchas populares en Chile, que avanzan en la senda del poder popular como parte del proyecto histórico del movimiento de pobladores en particular y de los movimientos populares en general.

The title quote first appeared as graffiti and soon became a slogan for the Gilets Jaunes, a movement that brought to the centre stage what has come to be known as “The Invisible France” (Beaud, 2008). Originating in the contestation of a fuel tax, the decentralized grassroots movement was largely made of first-time protesters. It rapidly accumulated a constellation of demands for socio-economic and environmental justice, participatory democracy and geographical equity.
With a specific appeal to this slogan, I contend that there is a mutual benefit of considering the Gilets Jaunes protest in light of Jacques
Rancière’s account of dissensus, which may help critical phenomenology to comprehend the movement and supplement his theory of political subjectivation. For Rancière, dissensus amounts to an “intervention” that destabilizes and reshapes what he calls the “distribution of the senses”, namely the always already aesthetic and political “division between the visible and the invisible, the audible and the inaudible, the sayable and the unsayable” (2009: 3).
The lived experience of the protesters, their organization of gatherings, collective assemblies and blockades of roundabouts in peri-urban and rural areas elucidate how the Gilet Jaunes instituted a radical democratic
“scene” for those traditionally “without part” (les sans-part) in the public sphere. With its novel and idiosyncratic ways of seeing together, addressing power, and forming political affiliations, the movement
presents a unique case-in-point of Rancière’s aesthetics of protest and challenges common-place conceptions of resistance, disrupting and decentralizing sedimented political imaginaries of dissent - from
urban streets to rural roads, from squares to roundabouts.
Furthermore, this presentation’s phenomenological focus on the testimonials of the Gilets Jaunes helps supplement Rancière’s account of dissent as a process of political subjectivation in order to capture -
as closely as possible - the immanent and spontaneous, horizontal and polymorphous traits of this protest movement. Ultimately, I argue that the movement’s singular force - independent of its ultimate success, or
even legitimacy - lies in the protesters’ recovered sense of community, solidarity and collective agency, in the face of widely-reported shame, helplessness and experiences of social atomization, caused by socio-economic and geographic isolation, precarity and marginalization.

Since the mid-1990s, the Vatican contests the concept of gender as forged by feminists to study social arrangements through which the sexual order is naturalised. This contestation came with the distortion of the analyses and claims formulated by feminists and LGBTQ scholars and social movements. This article understands the Vatican's invention of 'gender ideology' as a new rhetorical device produced both to delegitimise feminist and LGBTQ studies and struggles and to reaffirm that sexual norms transcend historical and political arrangements. It also investigates how the transnationality of this discursive construct relates to the specific features it has taken in two different national contexts – France and Italy. The article is structured as follows: it first highlights the logic and structure of the anti-gender discourse. Then, it analyses how the same argumentative device is performed in anti-gender demonstrations. Finally, it scrutinises the rhetorical and performative strategies through which anti-gender actors have formulated their views and argues that 'gender ideology' can be understood as a political reaction against the entry of minorities into the fields of politics and theory.

Las convulsas relaciones entre el Rif y el poder central de Ma-rruecos atraviesan una larga historia de conflictos y odios se-culares, de violentas represiones y rebeliones que comenza-ron con la ocupación española y francesa y se prolongaron en los años posteriores a la independencia. El 28 de octubre de 2016, diecisiete años después de la llegada al trono de Moha-med VI, los rifeños salieron de nuevo a la calle tras la atroz muerte de Mojcín Fikri, un joven vendedor de pescado de la ciudad de Alhucemas, que moría aplastado dentro de un ca-mión de basura, en un acto desesperado por impedir que su mercancía le fuera confiscada por la policía. Desde entonces, el movimiento de contestación rifeño (Hirak) no ha cesado en sus protestas y movilizaciones. Una de sus cabezas visibles, Naser Zafzafi, un desempleado de 39 años, dio voz a la denun-cia de un Gobierno regional títere del Majzén, el régimen políti-co marroquí, de la corrupción y clientelismo político y adminis-trativo, de los constantes abusos de las autoridades, de la pobreza y marginalización crónica que sufre el Rif. Su deten-ción, como la de otros de sus miembros, no ha conseguido poner fin a la contestación, aún vigente, que trata de canalizar sus reivindicaciones en un programa político. David Alvarado nos brinda un muy oportuno análisis del Hirak, conectando su presente con la historia singular de ese Rif que todavía hoy fascina y atemoriza, vinculado a una memoria que se remonta a la resistencia a la colonización y a la epopeya de Abdelkrim. El sentimiento de abandono y agravio no han cesado de crecer durante todos estos años, pero también la emergencia de una conciencia colectiva, de una nación en ciernes.
