Que les contours en aient été déterminés par des réformes endogènes, par la colonisation, par les conditions de la Guerre froide et/ou celles de la décolonisation, la création artistique sur le pourtour sud et est méditerranéen, et au-delà dans la Péninsule arabique et en Asie centrale, a été le produit à la fois d’interactions supranationales et d’enracinements locaux variés, qui se sont matérialisés dans toutes sortes d’innovations et d’hybridations, d’échappées particulières et de dyschronies. L’étude et la déconstruction de ce champ artistique se sont pourtant principalement occupées jusqu’à présent des stéréotypes véhiculés par le « centre » sur ses « périphéries ». L’objectif du séminaire est de renverser la focale pour placer le Maghreb et le Moyen-Orient en tant que territoires de création artistique au cœur de l’enquête. Il est aussi de transgresser les approches par médium qui segmentent et obscurcissent les problématiques communes aux arts plastiques, aux arts décoratifs et à l’architecture de cette aire géoculturelle. Dans cette exploration d’une approche plurimédiale, plus interactionniste et multipolaire des œuvres et des mondes de l’art qui y ont vu le jour, quelle importance accorder aux caractéristiques visuelles, esthétiques et techniques des œuvres ? Leur prise en compte ne doit-elle pas accompagner, voire enrichir l’analyse sociopolitique, dans l’optique de contextualiser le regard et ainsi favoriser l’engagement dans les territoires étudiés et vis-à-vis des sociétés qui les composent ? Ouvert aux masterants et doctorants, le séminaire s’adosse aux travaux, outils et ressources numériques développés par le laboratoire InVisu dans le cadre de contrats de recherche français et européens et de partenariats diversifiés.

Liver fibrosis is the excessive accumulation of extracellular matrix proteins, including collagen, that occurs in most types of chronic liver diseases. Advanced liver fibrosis results in cirrhosis, liver failure, and portal hypertension and often requires liver transplantation. Knowledge of the cellular and molecular events associated with the formation of liver fibrosis has greatly advanced. Activated hepatic stellate cells, portal fibroblasts, and myofibroblasts of bone marrow origin have been identified as major collagen-producing cells in the injured liver. These cells are activated by fibrogenic cytokines such as TGF-ᵝ1, angiotensin II, and leptin. Reversibility of advanced liver fibrosis in patients has been recently documented, which has encougaged researchers to continue their research for potent and safer antifibrotic drugs. Emerging antifibrotic therapies are aimed at inhibiting the accumulation of fibrogenic cells and/or preventing the deposition of extracellular matrix proteins. Although many therapeutic interventions are effective in experimental models of liver fibrosis, their efficacy and safety in humans are largely unknown.

The Medici Archive Project is offering a new online educational program in Italian paleography and archival studies for the A.Y. 2015 – 2016. The course is comprised of two components: an online course, which is divided into three modules, and an onsite seminar in Florence.
Reflecting increased interest from scholars at every stage of their careers, but especially the needs of students attempting archival research in Italy for the first time, our new modular program will provide students with both a firm introduction to working in Italian archives and the confidence to read, understand, and use archival material as an integral part of their research.
The current offer is a redesign and expansion of our previous educational courses. For the first time, students can now pick and choose from diverse modules suited to their interests. Moreover, students will be taught using our new online teaching tool developed with funding from the Samuel H. Kress
Foundation that allows students to collaborate online in the transcription of high quality digital reproductions of archival documents. The Fall semester will conclude with a standalone two-week seminar in Florence.

Rural development generally refers to the process of improving the quality of life and economic well-being of people living in relatively isolated and sparsely populated areas. Based on scientific utilization of India's natural resources Rural Development has been given the highest priority for the betterment of the living conditions of the rural areas. With this aim in view, several efforts were made at rural development for the betterment of the socioeconomic condition of villagers from ancient times to the British period. There were experiments in rural development from Shanti Niketan in 1921 to community development in 1952. After independence, many development programs have been executed to tackle the problems of lesser education, poverty, and unemployment in India. Among the development programs implemented during the last two decades; Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) launched in 2001, Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) launched in 1999 and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) are discussed here. All these schemes are aimed to reduce the gap between rural and urban people which would help reduce imbalances and speed up the development process.

This is a talk given to high school literature teachers about running seminar discussions in their classes. It addresses both the theory and practice behind seminar, first distinguishing between seminar and other types of discussion or "Socratic" instruction, and then descending into the details of how to conduct a seminar and integrate seminar discussion into a broader pedagogical context that encourages inquiry and precision, recovering original questions for students while giving them the intellectual tools to pursue those questions meaningfully in their own reading and in dialogue with each other.

This seminar examined dysbarism and acclimatization to high altitude. Basically, dysbarism deals with the change in the ambient pressure during descent, tunneling and other projects resulting to various physiologic effects on human, whereas, acclimatization is the process of the body adjusting to the decreased availability of oxygen at high altitudes so as to maintain the body’s homeostasis. It is a slow process, taking place over a period of days to weeks. The human body can adapt to high altitude through immediate and long-term acclimatization through different physiologic mechanism. Various pathological changes and altitude illness associated with High altitude illness were examined, such as; Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), high-altitude cerebral edema (HACE), and High-Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE) etc. Therefore, there is need to maintain an adequate knowledge on the signs and symptoms, physiologic effects and management of dysbaric injuries and high altitude disease.

In this paper, we present the concept of transmitting power without using wires i.e., transmitting power as microwaves from one place to another is in order to reduce the transmission and distribution losses. This concept is known as Microwave Power transmission (MPT). We also discussed the technological developments in Wireless Power Transmission (WPT). The advantages, disadvantages, biological impacts and applications of WPT are also presented.
In recent years, the notion of transfer of power using wireless techniques has attracted many researchers. Transfer of power by wireless means has been recently demonstrated in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This system operates at 9.9 MHz. In this paper, we have discussed the design of a simple and cost-effective system which can enable transmission of power over short distances. We have employed the H – Bridge Inverter configuration to convert DC power to high frequency (100 kHz) which is then radiated with the help of a suitable loop antenna. It is observed that this system can also be used as a induction heating unit. In this form it can be used to replace conventional convection heating based electric stoves.

Coffee(Coffea arabica L.) is the most important agricultural commodity and beverage enjoyed throughout the world. In Ethiopia, about 25 % of the total populations of the country are dependent on production, processing, distribution and export of coffee. Besides gene tic and environmental factors, the range of cares taken from field to cupping can affect coffee quality. Different studies were conducted to determine those factors. Therefore, the objective of this review is to assess previous work on factors that affect quality of coffee in Ethiopia and to know the research gap on quality of coffee. Cup quality is a complex characteristic which depends on a series of factors such as the species or variety (genetic factors), environmental conditions (ecological factors), agronomical practices (cultivation factors), processing systems (post harvest factors), storage conditions, industrial processing, preparation of the beverage and taste of the consumer. The environment h as also a strong influence on coffee quality. Pests and diseases attacks can affect the cherries directly or cause them to deteriorate by debilitating the plants, which will then produce immature or damaged fruits. There is a need of conduct research to specify which quality of coffee is affect by those pests and diseases. Processing and storage is a very important activity in coffee production and plays a crucial role in quality determination. Coffee is either processed by the wet or dry methods. Since researches indicated that wet processing method is high in quality, the MoA have to encourage using this method of processing. Storage is one of the most important and crucial stage in processing of any agricu ltural commodity. Post-harvest procedures and the physiology of the plant itself affect coffee quality. Farmer's perception has also its own role on desirable quality of coffee.

Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to assess the challenges of good Governance in Ethiopia. Governance, in the world of globalization and competition, matters in accelerating development and in reducing poverty particularly in most developing countries of the world. In line with this, good governance allows for sound and efficient management of resources for equitable and sustainable development. In Ethiopia, many people are poor; municipalities are very responsive areas because of the nature of services they provide. They are also highly susceptible areas for bad governance. The general objective of this seminar is to assess the challenges of good governance in Ethiopia. Concerning the methodology, quantitative and qualitative approaches of different researches were employed. Both primary and secondary sources of data were taken from different written documents and researches. The major findings of the paper identified that existence of rent seeking thinking (corruption), lack of commitment of the leadership, lack of commitment of the employees (work place deviation), lack of qualified man power in the leadership position, lack of standardized performance standards as major challenges of good governance among others. Currently, the greatest concern has been given by the Ethiopian Government to ensure the expansion of good governance at the country level; by undertaken the deep renewal and the fifth years performance evaluation programs, from top to down. It can then be concluded that the condition of good governance in the study area was not satisfactory. Thus, it is recommended that the Government leadership from top to down should promote accountability, transparency, rule of laws, democracy, and enhance the participation of local communities in municipal developments by taking corrective actions. The opportunities, at the municipal level, to promote good governance have to be identified and properly harnessed. The municipalities should try to find qualified and competent human resource administrators for municipal services provision. Improving the participation of the community to be minimizing the challenges of good governance in Ethiopia is very important. Because, ensuring good governance cannot be attained only through the efforts made by the government.
