Background: European and national policies on citizenship education stimulate the implementation of a participative approach to citizenship education, fostering active citizenship. The reason given for fostering active citizenship is the decline of participation in political and social life jeopardizing democracy. Schools have to implement a participative approach through stimulating participation within school and its direct environment, while fostering a certain kind of political literacy, critical thinking and analysing skills, certain kind of values, attitudes and behaviours. Purpose: The purpose of this article is to problematise the participative approach of citizenship education advocated by policy makers and several researchers. In order to do so, four different categories that citizenship education has to cover will be theoretically and empirically analysed: political knowledge, critical thinking, values, attitudes and behaviours, and active participation. The practical implications for educational practice will be discussed.
Source of evidence: Two types of documents have been analysed: The 2005 and 2012 Eurydice reports and the 2009 International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) research reports. These documents are exemplary of the mainstream idea of citizenship and citizenship education held by policy makers and many researchers on citizenship education. The Eurydice reports have analysed citizenship education in more than 30 countries while promoting a certain concept of citizenship education, namely active citizenship. The ICCS has researched pupils’ competencies on citizenship education and school practices in 38 countries. It is an interesting source because it had to define and operationalise the different constituents of citizenship education.
Main argument: In jurisdictions where citizenship education is compulsory, schools have to implement this participative approach and account for it. We suggest that this educational approach to citizenship education may be problematic because each aspect – political literacy, critical thinking and analysing skills, values, attitudes and behaviours, and active participation – presents challenging demands on the curricu- lum, head teachers and teachers. We argue three kinds of constraints that make the implementation of such a participative approach unrealistic: (1) insufficient specialist knowledge on the part of teachers and head teachers, (2) time and budget constraints and (3) an overcrowded curriculum. We demonstrate that the broad range of themes that political literacy has to cover demand specific knowledge on the part of teachers regarding each of the themes. Then we argue that critical thinking skills are hard to learn and demand continuous practice. Implementing and sustaining active participation structure within school and in the direct environment, again, require specific skills and curricular organisation. The demands made by values, attitudes and behaviours on teachers and pupils could not be explored because of the lack of conceptual clarity in the documentation under scrutiny.
Conclusion: The feasibility of a participative approach to citizenship education has been questioned through theoretical and empirical critical analysis. On this basis, we suggest that the scope of the citizenship education curriculum should be reconsidered or that teacher and head teacher should receive the necessary and adequate training, and support to implement such a participatory structure.

Abstrak: Artikel non penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan aliran behaviorisme, kognitivisme, humanisme, dan konstruktivisme. Deskripsi aliran filsafat yang terdapat didalamnya berkaitan dengan ilmu pengetahuan yang menyangkut dasar berfikir secara menyeluruh, mendalam dan sistematis sehingga menghasilkan generasi yang berperilaku lebih baik dalam menyiapkan kehidupan yang akan datang. Beberapa aliran yang akan dibahas adalah aliran behaviorisme, kognitivisme, humanisme, dan konstruktivisme. Kata Kunci: aliran behaviorisme, kognitivisme, humanisme, konstruktivisme PENDAHULUAN Penelitian non ilmiah ini akan membahas aliran-aliran filsafat yang berkaitan dengan ilmu pengetahuan yang menyangkut dasar berfikir secara menyeluruh, mendalam, dan sistematis. Aliran yang akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah aliran behaviorisme, kognitivisme, humanisme, dan konstruktivisme. Aliran filsafat behaviorisme menfokuskan pada pengalaman yang didapat oleh peserta didik. Aliran kognitivisme menyatakan belajar merupakan proses psikis yang berlangsung dalam interaksi antara anak dengan lingkungannya sehingga menghasilkan perubahan yang bersifat relatif baik melalui pengalaman maupun praktek. Humanisme adalah filsafat yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai manusiawi, dan nilai-nilai kultural dalam pendidikan. Sedangkan konstruktivisme memberikan kesempatan pada siswa untuk aktif membangun keberagaman sesuai pemahaman yang anak dapatkan. Namun keempat aliran tersebut sama-sama memiliki tujuan untuk dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap perilaku, pengetahuan, serta keterampilan berfikir pada anak.

In his incarnation as 'Morus' in Utopia, Thomas More asserts his profound disagreement with his fictional character, Raphael Hythlodaeus. Whereas Hythlodaeus extols the merits of commonality and the moral value of pleasure, Morus dismisses the whole project as absurdity, or hopeless wishful thinking. This divergence has been variously interpreted, but mostly played down. This paper argues that the civilized, amicable, and yet genuine discord between Raphael Hythlodaeus and Morus is the key to Utopia. We can appreciate its importance only if we understand who Hythlodaeus is, and what the purpose of the dialogue is. We also have to do justice to Thomas More's politics, which were grounded on the authority of the Christian tradition, in the Old and the New Testament. Over the years, Thomas More maintained a very clear and consistent line of thought on the legitimacy of worldly wealth, the responsibilities inherent in its management, the imperative to curb their enjoyment, the temptation of 'business' and greed, the duty of charity, and the value of penance, remorse, prayer, and other kinds of self-inflicted suffering. In A Dialogue of Comfort against Tribulation, Anthony, the wiser character, conveys Thomas More's relentless praise of pain. Anthony has the last word. So, too, does Morus.

Karl Marx found in religion the consequence of ‚Entausserung‛ or alienation created by the capitalist mode of production. For Max Weber, religion is an impetus for social change, while for Marx it is a force trying desperately to preserve the status quo. Refuting Adam Smith, Marx established that division of labour alienated the proletariat from their ‚essence‛. Capitalism later developed a laissez-faire individualism that created fatal cleavage in the human consciousness. Marx revised the Hegelian idea of ‚Entausserung‛ that was earlier refuted by Feuerbach for being metaphysical. A minute observation of the language and imagery, Marx uses about religion, reveals comprehensive morphological, semantic and stylistic resonance of Feuerbach although Marx criticized Feuerbach as his theory ignored economic and social perspectives. This paper tries to analyse the language of different texts of Marx to decipher how he gradually relates his theory of alienation to his unique theory of religion in a dialectic complex process and finally establishes religion, not as an illusion, but to be an intrinsic part of the ‚superstructure‛. Instead of simple abolition of religion, Marx demands extinction of that very vulnerable human psyche that receives religious ‚reflex of the real world‛ in ‚Capital: A Critique of Political Economy, Volume I‛. A close scrutiny the text of ‚Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts‛ reveals that while discussing the different types of alienation, Marx, initially uses religion simply as an allegory, with gradual and conscious change of emphasis. Here Marx does not put religion in a direct causal relationship to alienation of labour; he just uses religion as an analogy, just to make his point clear. Significantly, Marx almost echoes the logical and linguistic pattern of Feuerbachian proposition. If we again compare minutely the language and imagery Marx uses, we find interesting and comprehensive morphological, semantic and stylistic resonance of Feuerbach. Marx makes his discrete critique on the history of religion and its developing relation with different modes of production. Moreover, we should observe the subtle terminology Marx uses very cautiously ‚The religious world is but the reflex of the real world‛, ‚The religious reflex of the real world‛ he carefully selects the word ‚Reflex‛ not influence, inspiration or stimulus. That is why he takes religious issues so seriously, and a more minute understanding of the text will reveal that he is not at all bothered with abolition of religion, rather he wants extinction of the ‚religious reflex of the real world‛, and to be more specific he wants abolition of that very vulnerable state of human mind that receives such ‚reflexes‛. Moreover, here Marx first discovers Protestant reformation was the ‚most fitting form of religion‛ for bourgeois mode of production to develop. In ‚Capital‛ Marx is so much distressed with religion that is not hesitant to declare religion to be as devastating as war in terms of economic wastage. The developing pattern of the language, Marx uses, regarding religion is scrutinized in this paper.

RESUMEN.
En la concepción de Foucault la verdad se produce. Cada sociedad tiene su régimen de verdad, su “política general” de la verdad, es decir,  los tipos de discurso que acoge y hace funcionar como verdaderos o falsos, el modo cómo se sancionan unos y otros; las técnicas y los procedimientos que están valorizados para la obtención de la verdad, esto es; el estatuto de quienes están a cargo de decir lo que funciona como verdadero.
En  el  lugar  y  el  momento  en  que  se  produce  una  verdad  –y,  en  consecuencia,  se  excluye  y  silencia  otra-,  se  establecen  reglas  del  juego,  se  inducen  formas  de  subjetividad,  también  se  está  ejerciendo  el  poder  en  una  determinada  dirección.  Por  lo  tanto,  detrás  de  los  saberes  y  sus  discursos  de  verdad,  se  encuentra  el  poder.  Precisamente por eso, Foucault señaló que su trabajo consistió en llevar a cabo una historia política de la formación de  saberes  y  verdades;  preguntarse  por  un  acontecimiento,  o  por  el  momento  de  emergencia  de  una  positividad  implica interrogarse por las relaciones y mecanismos de poder a través de los cuales ha tenido lugar.
El discurso es poder. No es solamente un medio para el poder, sino el campo de batalla en que se lucha por él y, a la vez,  el  poder  mismo  por  el  que  se  lucha.  Es  una  realidad  que  antecede  y  trasciende  a  los  autores.  Está  vivo.  Para  Foucault  el  autor  es  un  enrarecimiento  más  del  discurso,  una  forma  más  de  control  que  hay  que  demoler  sistemáticamente  para  entenderlo.  El  derecho  es  un  discurso  político;  el  derecho  es  un  dispositivo  de  poder.  El  poder  no  es  una  sustancia  ni  un  misterioso  atributo.  El  poder  es  un  tipo  específico  de  relaciones  y  prácticas  entre  individuos. Todas estas prácticas  “constituyen una de las formas a través de las cuales nuestra sociedad define tipos de subjetividad, formas de saber y en consecuencia relaciones entre los hombres y la verdad”.

Erasmus's 1516 Latin–Greek New Testament edition differed from the Latin Vulgate in several ways. A small number of textual variants with doctrinal implications involved Erasmus in considerable controversy. Medieval Western theologians had often relied on the " Johannine Comma " (the long reading of 1 John 5.7-8), established in the Latin Vulgate during the late Middle Ages, as an important scriptural foundation for the doctrine of the Trinity. However, when Erasmus showed that this variant was not present in the Greek manuscript tradition, he was accused of promoting Arianism. Eras-mus's debates with the cleric Edward Lee and the textual critic Jacobus Stunica exposed tensions between theologians, jealous of their authority in scriptural interpretation, and humanists, who claimed to understand the Bible better than theologians by virtue of their philological skills. This article concludes by exploring the Inquisition's failed attempt to find a consensus on this issue in 1527.

El presente escrito, de algún modo legendario, ha sido reproducido múltiples veces y ha circulado en la web como una suerte de Manifiesto Blogger. El Artículo se escribió y se reescribió (y seguramente seguirá escribiéndose) tal como queda definido en su programa original: ‘Un Blog como forma de experimentación, como bitácora, como crónica, como diario, croquis, crónica y registro de los disturbios en el Parque Humano’ Cuando el año 2013 –y replicando la iniciativa el 2014– ARCO (Madrid) desarrolla una primera experiencia editorial participativa online concebida como performance de Net-Art, y coordinada por Roberta Bosco* y Stefano Caldana*  quienes describen los alcances del proyecto en un escrito de circunstancias denominado ‘El arte en la edad del silicio’, [Nota 5] consideré oportuno fijar un texto oficial y publicarlo.
Producción cultural: el cultivo de lo humano.
La cultura es el mundo propio del hombre, el que él mismo ha cultivado, en oposición al mundo natural, que existiría igualmente aun sin él. La cultura se produce –culturas mitológicas, humanístico-letradas, post-literarias, post-epistolográficas y post-humanísticas–. Existe un conjunto de actividades a las que podemos denominar ‘producción cultural’; trátese de teorías científicas, desarrollos tecnológicos, bienales de arte, exposiciones universales, juegos olímpicos y otras tantas configuraciones del mundo. De modo que el horizonte que constituye el espacio de nuestra actuación plantea la necesidad de una ‘nueva estructura del cultivo’ de lo humano.
Ciencia zoológica y ciencia pneumática; entre el animal y el superhombre
Como animales hemos fracasado y como hombres somos una existencia tensada, estamos entre la naturaleza y los monstruos –prodigios–. Las ciencias naturales estudian la naturaleza, luego está la monstruología, de la que la teología es una rama. Nuestra incertidumbre de animal acrobático [Nota 10].–prodigioso– nos fuerza a pensar en la domesticación humana, la de nuestros sistemas educativos, económicos y legislativos para proyectarnos en un horizonte más amplio, uno eco-bio-político.
En Nietzsche el hombre aparece no sólo como un ser que se encuentra inacabado –sin una determinación ontológica definida– sino como una elevación maníaca semidepresiva, como un punto de inflexión entre el animal y el superhombre. ‘El hombre es una cuerda tendida entre el animal y el superhombre, una cuerda sobre un abismo [...] La grandeza del hombre está en ser un puente y no una meta: lo que en el hombre se puede amar es que es un tránsito y un ocaso’ . Esta tensión está en el centro de los problemas que plantea la biopolítica, de allí la actualidad de Nietzsche. La filosofía de Nietzsche intenta redefinir no sólo los conceptos de vida, política y poder, también los límites difusos entre ‘hombre’ y ‘animal’. La filosofía de Nietzsche se configura así a partir de la reflexión en torno al problema de la humanidad y la animalidad, es decir, se articula como un intento de ir más allá del humanismo entendido como un esfuerzo de domesticación del hombre en el que se pretende desinhibir su condición animal (fracasando en el proceso). De allí la importancia de la discusión en torno al estatuto biopolítico del hombre, debate en el que se insertan autores como Peter Sloterdijk y Giorgio Agamben.

The research conducted by this paper has been largely updated and elaborated in my MA-thesis "Senses and Passions of Benvenuto Cellini"; you are more than welcome to check it out. // The article aims to rethink the several stereotypes of Romantic tradition, which are still reproduced in regard to Benvenuto Cellini and his Vita. Using the approaches of intellectual history and iconographical studies, the present study pays attention to the coherent system of lay, scientific and ‘secret’ knowledge of the epoch lurking under the surface of the simplicity and even naivety of the author’s language. I argue that this autobiographical writing embodies a certain type of culture of the self deeply rooted in contemporary medical, alchemical and magical contexts. Organized around the concept of “getting pleasure,” Cellini’s practices of the self are built into the Neo-Platonic picture of the world. Analyzing the two passages of Vita, I demonstrate the author’s spiritual ascent from the corporeal suffering to union with ‘the One’ by means of individual and collective magic rituals, transforming his Life into a work of art.

Cet article étudie la théorie atmosphérique comme opération de décentrement de la métaphysique. Il présente le projet Sphères en tant que critique du milieu de vie humaniste en montrant que les écumes reposent sur l’entrée d’air, ce qui implique le renversement de la métaphysique du sol, du solide et du lourd. L’analyse architecturale des îles humaines permet ensuite d’expliquer l’individualisme se nourrissant de la tendance à l’aérien, à la gâterie et au luxe dans la grande « serre » climatisée. Il se demande enfin ce qu’impliquerait, pour la pensée des milieux, la climatologie politique promise par Sloterdijk.

Dans leur ouvrage controversé de 1985 intitulé La Pensée 68: essai sur l'anti-humanisme contemporain, Luc Ferry et Alain Renaut réclament avoir cherché à opérer une critique avant tout philosophique et non idéologique  des penseurs regroupés dans la construction du type idéal de ce qu’ils ont nommé « la pensée 68 ». Or, si leur « essai sur l’anti-humanisme » aborde une problématique dont on ne peut nier la nature essentiellement philosophique – visant, entre autres, à critiquer la déconstruction de la subjectivité opérée par des penseurs tels que Foucault, Derrida, Bourdieu et Lacan – ; néanmoins, il paraît difficile de détacher cette problématique de la visée manifestement polémique dont elle est investie, comme continuent de le soulever la plupart de leurs critiques et leurs commentateurs . C’est pourquoi nous pouvons nous demander dans quelle mesure le choix en partie désavoué du pamphlet, et donc de ses stratégies rhétoriques, contrevient à leur projet d’élaborer une critique proprement philosophique de l’anti-humanisme contemporain.

El examen de la difusión de las traducciones al romance de la Ética aristotélica como parte de la recepción de la obra del filósofo en latín y en lengua vernácula permite matizar el tipo de recepción que tuvo, tanto en los círculos literarios como en el ámbito universitario. Una aproximación comparativa de los textos revela que el
carácter híbrido de la difusión aristotélica es común a Italia y a la península Ibérica
y que esta no constituye un caso singular en los modos de recepción, tanto en lo
que se refiere a la composición de los códices como en la coexistencia de versiones
latinas y romances. La presencia de glosas y comentarios de tradición tomista responde
al mismo propósito vulgarizador y pedagógico que la versión de Leonardo
Bruni, por lo que ambas modalidades compartieron público, nobiliario y letrado,
escolar y humanista.

La catégorie d’humanisme commercial, forgée par J. Pocock, désigne les transformations de la langue républicaine moderne (ou humanisme civique) sous l’effet de la montée en puissance du capitalisme marchand : en tentant de concilier la « vertu » et le « commerce », le bien public et l’intérêt particulier, il contribua à la naissance de l’économie politique. Jusqu’ici cantonné à l’aire anglophone, l’usage de cette catégorie a récemment été élargi à la France des Lumières par une série de contributions importantes, pour la plupart états-uniennes. Cet article se propose de faire le point sur ce renouvellement historiographique de l’humanisme commercial, et propose pour finir une mise en perspective des apports et limites de l’École de Cambridge en histoire intellectuelle.

Abstract
The concept of commercial humanism was built by J. Pocock in order to indicate the transformation of the modern Republican language (or civic humanism) as a response to the rise of merchant capitalism: by reconciling “virtue” and “trade”, public good and private interest, it has helped the rise of political economy. Hitherto confined to the English-speaking area, the use of this category has recently been expanded to French Enlightenment thanks to a set of important (mostly American) contributions. This article is dedicated to a critical review of the historiographical renewal on commercial humanism. It also gives a critical perspective on the assets and limitations of the Cambridge School in intellectual history.

An unpublished speech of Alberico Gentili to the Oxford scholars in defence of jurisprudence.
Several manuscripts of Alberico Gentili (S. Ginesio 1552 - London 1608) are conserved in the Bodleian Library in Oxford. In 1580 the Italian jurist, exiled for his adherence to the Reformation doctrine, arrived in England where in 1587 was appointed regius professor of civil law at Oxford University. Here, after the publication of Dialogi (1582) and Lectiones et epistolae (1583-1584), he ran into a number of problems, initially with Jean Hotman and the humanistic circles and later with the theological-puritan ones. The speech - which is published here in Appendix - is conserved in the Collection D'Orville 612 and has been written after 12 March 1594, at the end of a bitter controversy with the puritan theologian John Rainolds. The controversy had developed between 1593 and 1594 and it was about the competence of the jurist and the theologian. In it Gentili, besides defending himself from the accusation of being trico italicus, machiauelicus et athaeus, he also protects the good reasons of the iurisprudentia in the light of its long history and the merit of those who, over the centuries, had professed legal science.

Nella Bodleian Library di Oxford sono conservati numerosi manoscritti di Alberico Gentili (S. Ginesio 1552 – Londra 1608). Il giurista italiano, esule per la sua adesione alle dottrine della Riforma, giunge in Inghilterra nel 1580 dove, nel 1587, viene nominato regius professor of civil law. Qui, dopo la pubblicazione dei Dialogi (1582) e delle Lectiones et epistolae (1583-1584) incontra numerose difficoltà, dapprima con Jean Hotman e con alcuni ambienti umanistici, e successivamente con quelli teologici puritani. Il discorso che qui si pubblica in Appendice, è conservato nel Fondo D’Orville 612, e viene scritto dopo il 12 marzo 1594, al termine di un’aspra polemica con il teologo puritano John Rainolds, che si era sviluppata fra 1593 e 1594 circa le competenze del giurista e del teologo. In essa Gentili, oltre a difendere sé stesso dalle accuse di “trico italicus, machiauelicus et athaeus”, difende le buone ragioni del diritto alla luce della sua lunghissima storia e del valore di coloro che, nel corso dei secoli, avevano professato la scienza giuridica.

À partir d’une approche anthropologique, l’article essaie de montrer que le sens majoritaire du mot humanitas à Rome désignait la capacité d’un homme à être sociable. Elle n’était pas liée à un discours sur l’essence de l’homme. L’humanitas était au contraire une qualité « artificielle », produite par l’éducation. Dans certaines situations (dans la vie politique ou à la guerre), cette qualité devait d’ailleurs être mise en suspens. Dans une deuxième partie, l’article tente une généalogie de l’idée, courante aujourd’hui, selon laquelle la notion d’humanitas désigne la qualité de « l’homme pleinement accompli dans son essence d’homme ».

La réputation exagérée de Heidegger est entachée par la polémique sur son adhésion au parti nazi, relancée par Victor Farias en 1987 et en 2014 par la publication de ses Cahiers noirs en Allemagne. La Lettre sur l'humanisme est au contraire connue pour avoir entériné sa réhabilitation en 1946, du fait de la caution du philosophe français Jean Beaufret, ancien résistant, à qui elle répondait. Ce rappel rituel en occulte le contenu, où l'on peut remarquer que, chez Heidegger, la fin de la métaphysique dont il parle est en réalité un retour à la théologie scolastique.

L’aspiration à améliorer les performances des êtres humains grâce aux sciences et aux techniques s’inscrit-elle dans l’héritage des Lumières d’une perfecti­bilité humaine ? Si le transhumanisme est bien la continuation du projet moderne de maîtrise de la nature, il fait abstraction des considérations éthiques, sociales et politiques qui le portaient. Le transhumanisme est donc l’idéologie propre aux sociétés de la compétition individualiste.

Le transhumanisme est-il un humanisme ? Face au transhumanisme, comme doctrine et comme proclamation, le réflexe courant est de brandir l’humanisme : « au transhumanisme, opposons l’humanisme ». Humanisme et transhumanisme supposent tous deux une tentative de définition de l’homme. Dans les deux cas, aucune définition ne vise une vérité figée de l’homme : elles dessinent toutes deux une humanité dont la marque est l’instabilité. Vu positivement, cette instabilité est progrès. Une chose est sûre, la nature humaine qui était un donné intangible, est désormais une matière malléable susceptible d’être l’objet de discours politiques, éducatifs, médicaux, économiques et techniques. Une telle conception de l’humanité en fait un objet de vouloir plutôt que de savoir, d’avoir plutôt que d’être.  Partant de cette instabilité anthropologique, le transhumanisme veut fabriquer un « nouvel humain », un humain augmenté (enhancement). L’humanisme promeut plutôt un « mieux humain », un humain éclairé par la pratique des arts libéraux.

Ce mémoire de maîtrise déposé à l'Université de Bologne et à l'Université de Strasbourg en 2014 propose une analyse de L'œuvre au noir de Marguerite Yourcenar (1968) dans le cadre d'une étude théorique portant sur les modes de représentation de l'humanisme au XXe siècle.

Ce mémoire est tout d'abord constitué d'une étude étymologique portant sur les différents usages - souvent contradictoires - du terme "humanisme", essentiellement compris comme un modèle pédagogique (les "humanités") ou comme une philosophie de l'homme. Il réunit par la suite une généalogie de la critique heideggérienne de l'humanisme en divisant celle-ci en quatre phases (1929-1946 ; 1946-1966 ; 1966-1985 ; 1985-aujourd'hui), avant de distinguer trois axes permettant de définir cette notion selon les débats des historiens de la Renaissance, soit un axe identitaire, un axe pédagogique et un axe religieux.

Cette étude replace par la suite l'évolution de la pensée yourcenarienne depuis Les mémoires d'Hadrien (1951) jusqu'à Un homme obscur (1981) dans le contexte de ces débats autour de l'humanisme, en démontrant que celle-ci suit une trajectoire opposée à celle de la genèse de la critique heideggérienne. Cela me permet ensuite d'aborder, par l'entremise des théories de la réception et de la lecture de Wolfgang Iser, les problèmes liés à la représentation de ce concept dans un roman historique ayant pour toile de fond la Renaissance, dans un chapitre qui tente de mettre en lumière certains liens qui peuvent exister entre la production littéraire contemporaine et l'histoire des idées.

Ces réflexions m'incitent à me pencher davantage, dans la seconde partie de mon mémoire, sur les liens entre "texte" et "contexte", en m'intéressant tout d'abord aux enjeux linguistiques que représente l'écriture réputée "classique" de Marguerite Yourcenar, que j'oppose aux expérimentations langagières d'un collectif d'auteurs bolognais qui ont fait paraître leur premier roman, Q, en 1999 sous le nom de Luther Blissett. Je tente de démontrer, en confrontant les stratégies auctoriales déployées à travers ces textes, qu'ils peuvent constituer deux pôles de représentation opposés de l'humanisme dans un roman historique, selon une tradition "illusioniste" et "anti-illusioniste".

Pour finir, la dernière partie de ce mémoire constitue une analyse plus approfondie de la figure de Zénon dans L'œuvre au noir, en cherchant à comprendre dans quelle mesure ce personnage peut être lié à l'historiographie portant sur l'humanisme de la Renaissance.

This extensive review explores the nature of human individuality through a broad spectrum of themes which all relate in an unwavering manner back to the fundamental question of “Who Am I?” The paradox of being fully human is that it depends on transcending the human condition itself. Integral individuality exists at the intersection between the horizontal and the vertical or the human and the Divine. Modern psychology, especially humanistic and transpersonal psychology has, much to its credit, done a great deal to facilitate the rightful place of the human within the spiritual dimension; yet, to date, it has been unable to situate what human individuality is. In fact, modern psychology has grossly overlooked that each of the spiritual traditions of the world has its own corresponding and complete psychology or rather pneumatology (“science of the Spirit”). It is by turning to the integral psychology of the perennial philosophy that human identity can be recovered.

En la voluntad humanista de estudiar el pasado por medio de métodos críticos se lleva a cabo, junto a una crítica filológica, una ordenación de los procesos históricos con objeto de facilitar su comprensión. Las etapas resultantes están determinadas por sucesos políticos que, según el pensamiento bajomedieval, constituyen hitos por sus repercusiones posteriores. Este artículo analiza la herencia clásica y escolástica, y las innovaciones humanistas, en la elaboración de cronologías seculares tanto de la historia universal (vinculada a la idea de Imperio) como regional de distintas formaciones políticas italianas  (Florencia, Bolonia, Milán y Venecia) y españolas (Castilla, Aragón, Navarra y Portugal). El análisis comparativo de las periodizaciones realizadas en ambas penínsulas permite comprobar tanto originalidades como influencias recíprocas.

When humanists study the past through a critic methodology they accomplish a documentary critic and a historic process in order to ease its understanding. The periods they establish are given by political events seen as milestone within late medieval thought because of their later effect.
This study analyses the influence of the Classics, Patristics and Scholasticism, besides the original thought in the composition of History lay chronicles. Periodizations are made for both universal and Italian or Spanish regional History.
Universal periodizations are tightly related to the empire idea (potestas universale). The dignitas is considered to persist in Constantinopla after the Western Roman Empire disappearance, restored by Charlemagne in the year 800 (restauratio imperii) and consolidated by Otto I in the Holy Roman Empire (traslatio imperii).
In order to study the regional periodizations the Italian chronicles have been divided into four geographic groups: Republic of Florence, Bologna, Duchy of Milan and Republic of Venice. Its main authors and their studies will be pointed out. The first part of these chronicles, although regional, present several common historic milestones related to the Creation, the Flood, the Tower of Babel, the Trojan War, the founding of Rome, the Ostrogothic domain, the Longobardic conquest of Italy and the character of the respective contemporary governments; to these events must be added the the different foundations of Episcopal sees and other particular events. The chroniclers studied are Giovanni Villani, Baldasarre Bonaiuti, Leonardo Bruni, Matteo Palmieri, Niccolò Machiavelli… for Florence; Boncompagno da Signa, Tolosano, Niccolò da Ferrara, Giovanni Cocchi, Matteo Griffoni, Girolamo Borselli, Cherubino Ghirardacci… for Bologna; Ogerio Alfieri, Galvano Fiamma, Pietro Azario, Bonamente Aliprandi, Bernardino Corio… for Milan; and Andrea Dandolo, Flavio Biondo, Bernardo Giustinian, Marco Antonio Sabellico… for Venice.
The Spanish chronicles are also arranged for four groups related to geography (Crown of Castile, Crown of Aragon, Kingdom of Navarre and Kingdom of Portugal). All of them relate the Spanish History until the Christian reaction to the Islam (711), explaining the national origins through Tubal and Hercules, and the Roman and Visigoth domination, as suggested by Rodrigo Ximénez de Rada and Alfonso X in Estoria de Espanna. The studied chroniclers are Pablo de Burgos, Alonso de Cartagena, Rodrigo Sánchez de Arévalo, Alvar García de Santa María, Diego Enríquez del Castillo… for Castile; Tomás de Canellas, Jaume Domenech, Pere Tomic, Gabriel Turell, Pere Miquel Carbonell,  Joan Margarit… for Aragon; Carlos de Viana for Navarra; and Fernão Lopes for Portugal.
Italian and Spanish chronicles are studied from a comparative perspective and each author specifically examined, paying attention to the peculiarities and influence between both peninsulas.

The focus on beards parallels the focus on social tensions because taking hold of a man’s beard was a serious offense in the medieval and early modern periods. But the intervening focus on Dulcinea suggests that beards are also phallic symbols of masculine potency as per Freud.

Résumé
Guidés par l’interrogation "Qu’est-ce qu’un humanisme aujourd’hui?", nous amorçons notre recherche par une brève généalogie de l’humanisme qui nous permet d’esquisser les rôles joués par les concepts clefs que sont la raison, la culture, la liberté et l’autonomie. Nous nous attardons ensuite à deux figures de l’humanisme existentiel, Sartre et Heidegger, pour alors traiter de la perspective aujourd’hui développée par Peter Sloterdijk. À la lumière des critiques et des avancés offerte par ses prédécesseurs, Sloterdijk réactualise les thèmes humanistes et formule une anthropologie cinétique qu’il nomme "analytique du venir-au-monde". À l’aide d’un vocabulaire innovant et provocant, il décrit l’anthropogenèse en termes de mouvement en proposant le concept de sphère pour faire suite à la clairière heideggérienne. Cette sphère, lieu de l’anthropogenèse, est créée et maintenue par l’ensemble des techniques d’autoformation, les anthropotechniques, et qui, au sens propre, forme ce que l’on nomme culture. Puis, suivant le constat d'échec de Sloterdijk face au détournement de l’attention de la production de l’humain au profit de son utilisation, nous expliquons qu'est-ce que l'humanisme au XXIe siècle.

Is public mourning a political action? The essay discusses this question, referring to the transfer of dead refugees to Berlin by the Center for Political Beauty. I interrogate the changing relation of mourning and politics, starting from Antigone as a paradigmatic figure of public mourning and civil disobedience. Looking into Butler’s humanism and the ‘aggressive humanism’ of the Center, I evaluate power, chances, and limitations of performative actions against the current refugee policy.
