Celem artykuły jest próba zwrócenia uwagi na wybrane miejsca styku istniejącego między Biblią oraz kulturą współczesną. Esej opiera się na pytaniu o sensy: jaki jest sens istnienia Biblii? jakie jest jej przesłanie odbierane drogą zmysłową, a w pewnych przypadkach – mistyczną? w jakim pozostaje ona stosunku do kultury? W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawia się źródła teologiczne, w drugiej – diagnozuje się znaczenie nauk teologicznych dla człowieka kultury współczesnej, w trzeciej -
dokonuje się charakterystyki symbolicznych postaci fana i ignoranta jako kluczowo odmiennych postaw względem Ewangelii. W podsumowaniu wskazuje się na rolę form kultury niepozostających sztuką dla sztuki, ale rozwijających człowieczeństwo. Artykuł powstał w nawiązaniu do wybranych dokumentów Kościoła katolickiego oraz opracowań teologów i kulturologów.

W artykule scharakteryzowano Apokalipsę św. Jana jako tekst realizujący nurt apokaliptyk obecny w żydowskiej tradycji. Zauważono, że dzieło posiada także cechy właściwe tekstom prorockim i listom pasterskim. Aktualizując wymowę omawianej księgi wskazano na cztery główne linie interpretacyjne, w których Apokalipsa św. Jana jest odpowiednio: 1) wizją dziejów Kościoła; 2) obrazem czasów współczesnych jej autora; 3) proroctwem końca świata; 4) teologią historii dokonaną dzięki wizjom odnoszącym się do czasów ostatecznych. Poczynione w artykule ustalenia odniesiono do kwestii wyobrażeń apokalipsy i końca świata w malarskich i filmowych dziełach kultury popularnej.

The relatively new discipline of Comparative Theology remains largely unknown to the vast majority of Orthodox theologians and schools, while heated debates have been raging among western academic circles for more than thirty years. The encounter of the Orthodox theology with the Comparative Theology is of special importance, so scrutinizing the issues involved is necessary for a holistic approach and evaluation of Comparative Theology's contribution. Comparative theology contributes a lot to deepening one's faith through God's mystical presence in religious otherness. In this process, offering hospitality to otherness and witnessing to your own faith are not two irreconcilable things. They go hand-in-hand. Moreover the theological (not religious at large) character of the Comparative Theology is of crucial importance, since it brings to the fore the importance of the quest of truth without restricting itself to a merely descriptive role

In 2013, self-described Christian and 'devout believer' Breen Malmberg requested and received a refund for the game Bioshock Infinite (2013) from Valve, on the basis of his objections to an unskippable scene in the game. In the offending scene, which occurs early in the game, the game forces the protagonist, Booker DeWitt, to undergo a Christian baptismal ritual. The ritual is mandatory for the player in order to proceed with the game. Malmberg characterized the choice as 'extreme blasphemy'. When the player decides to undergo the ritual, he is (almost) drowned in the process. That at least four of these 'baptismal' rituals, all with lethal consequences, occur in Bioshock Infinite, a game whose narrative context is critical of the religiously inspired exceptionalism of the United States of America, is highly interesting. Developer Irrational Games has succeeded not only in incorporating religious beliefs, rituals and criticisms in a highly-complex narrative, but also in inviting (or even: forcing) the player to participate in ritual behavior itself.

Artykuł traktuje na temat szerokiego wykorzystania filmu fabularnego na lekcjach religii w szkole. Pokrótce wskazuje na naukę Kościoła rzymskokatolickiego, który naucza, by lekcje religii pozostawały w interdyscyplinarnym dialogu z innymi przedmiotami. Szerokie zastosowanie kina fabularnego nie ogranicza się tylko do przedstawienia biblijnych filmów. Dotyczy także filmów historycznych i poruszających szeroką tematykę egzystencjalną. Wybrany przez nauczyciela materiał filmowy musi być dostosowany do wieku i dojrzałości uczniów. Właściwy wybór pomaga w zapoznaniu się z realiami życia w różnych kontekstach historycznych lub obyczajowych oraz konstrukcją samego filmu. Na koniec autorka artykułu wskazuje na niebezpieczeństwo popadnięcia w rutynę w prowadzeniu lekcji religii. Ukazuje również film jako tekst kultury, a więc pośrednie źródło teologiczne. Dyskurs kończy zachęta do rozsądnego korzystania z filmu podczas lekcji.

A defining feature of contemporary culture is the presence and impact of media, which reflect our lives while also shaping our attitudes, priorities and perspectives. All media and art is the product of human beings who bear the divine image and yet are also fallen, and thus all creative work embodies the tension between these two faces of humanity. At its best, therefore, art should embody in some combination the transcendental values of beauty, truth, and goodness, but most fundamentally it should have integrity. This paper outlines five levels at which to respond to creative works: aesthetics, emotions, worldviews, morality, and spirituality.

Przeżywany w Kościele rzymskokatolickim rok wiary zwrócił uwagę na jej rolę. Autorka artykułu stawia pytanie o kształt ludzkiej wiary i kultury w kontekście rzeczywistości ponowoczesnej. Ukazuje je jako podstawowe elementy człowieczeństwa wyrażone w dynamicznym akcie kreacji dokonywanej w ciągu życia poszczególnej jednostki ludzkiej.

Jednym z najbardziej nośnych przykładów popkulturowej teologii doby współczesnej jest "Chata" Williama Paula Younga. Spotkanie głównego bohatera powieści z Trójcą jest tu sposobem wyrażenia pewnych przekonań teologicznych. W odniesieniu do Syna Bożego, a więc jezuologii/chrystologii, na której koncentruje się ten artykuł, z jednej strony są one w dużej mierze osadzone w tradycji teologicznej, jednak z drugiej wiele aspektów wyrażonych jest w sposób odmienny od dotychczas przyjętego. Niezwykła popularność książki Younga niejako zmusza do konfrontacji z wyartykułowanymi w niej poglądami, nawet wówczas, jeśli nie mamy tu do czynienia ze ściśle rozumianym wykładem doktryny. Łatwość z jaką publikacja została przyjęta, pobudza do refleksji nad żywym w kulturze popularnej obrazem Jezusa. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie najistotniejszych elementów chrystologii "Chaty", osadzenie ich w kontekście tradycji teologicznej oraz wskazanie na możliwe przyczyny i skutki jej popularności z perspektywy teologiczno-fundamentalnej.
