A translation of the π-calculus into the MONSTR graph rewriting language is described and proved correct. The translation illustrates the heavy cost in practice of faithfully implementing the communication primitive of the π-calculus and similar process calculi. It also illustrates the convenience of representing an evolving network of communicating agents directly within a graph manipulation formalism, both because the necessity to use delicate notions of bound variables and of scopes is avoided, and also because the standard model of graphs in set theory automatically yields a useful semantics for the process calculus. The correctness proof illustrates many features typically encountered in reasoning about graph rewriting systems, and particularly how serialisation techniques can be used to reorder an arbitrary execution into one having stated desirable properties.

This study explores the interplay between strategy alliance and network processes in explaining firm performance in highly unpredictable environments like what is obtained in Nigeria. Firms can outperform rivals by pursuing two types of strategic alliance: advantage-creating and advantage-enhancing. Each of these strategic alliances creates different needs, motivations, and opportunities for joint activity. This research work shows that firms with better advantage-creating strategies become entrenched in extra network process and are more likely to form non-equity strategic alliances in the future period, whereas firms with strong advantage-enhancing tendencies become rooted in intense network process with many equity-based strategic alliances in the future period. However, if different strategies lead to formation of different types of network processes, are these tendencies advantageous for firm performance? If not, what is the optimal combination of strategic alliance and network processes that maximizes firm performance? This paper argue that network process provides advantageous access to external resources that can both balance the internal capabilities of the firm and substitute for the capabilities that a firm is lacking.This paper finds out that network process plays both balancing and substitutive roles, however, my findings suggest dense network process is more favorable for firms that have superior either advantage-creating or advantage-enhancing capabilities, whereas firms with inferior internal capabilities can benefit more from a sparse network process. A correlation analysis was carried out on a sample of 125 respondents which indicates a positive relationship among both variables

This work studied effect of information provision of cost fire insurance claim on the gross claims of non-life insurance business in Nigeria 2002 – 2022. The sole objective of this study was to appraise the effect of information provision and the average cost of fire insurance claims on the gross claims of non- life insurance business in Nigeria. Theory of average cost and model of communication were applied because it is pivotal in evaluating efficiency need for effective communication of information while the research design used was ex-post facto. Data used were extracted from Central Bank of Nigerian Statistical Survey (1999) and National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Financial Annual Report (2011) and Nigerian Insurance Digest (2019). ARDL regression technique was used for data analysis and the result showed a p-value of 26% > 5% allowable error margin and a co-efficient of -0.38 (a negative sign) an indicator that cost of fire insurance claims had negative and non-significant effect on non-life insurance gross claims paid in Nigeria from 2002 – 2021 which also signify lack of adequate information. In light of the above, it was recommended that insurers should develop fire risk management strategy such as information provision, public enlightenment campaign, fire preventive techniques, firefighting tools etc. for fire insurance policyholders. Again, there should be a mandatory installation of sprinklers, fire hydrant for private homes hotels, shopping malls, fuelling stations. Also smoke alarms to create awareness before the fire struck to enable neighbourhoods to act appropriately.

The foundation for network process evolution research is the modeling of network structure and behavior complexity. With such a model, network systems can be directed toward acquiring good maintainability attributes according to the principles of engineering. In this paper, a Process Management Network PMN model is developed to acquire directly from the target process codes the knowledge hidden among and within components of network systems. With the knowledge acquired by the PMN model, network structure and behavior complexity measures in terms of partitioning, restructuring and rewriting criteria are developed; a systematic process re-modularization schema is derived, and algorithms for scheduling network changes are presented. These criteria and mechanisms are used to guide the network evolution.

This research work described the design of wireless sensor network for real-time remote monitoring of oil & gas flow rate metering infrastructure. The network includes flow sensor, pumping machine, Microcontroller, WiFi and a database server. The pumping machine pumps the oil & gas then a flow sensor monitor's the flow rate and remotely report the data wirelessly to the database server for further processes, the resulting data is store on the database server in form of a real time data which can easily be access in order to know the amount of oil & gas being lifted without seeking to collect the data from the several stations manually. This system maintained near real-time visibility of flow rate measurement data; regardless of where the oil well are located and allows for inexpensive monitoring of oil and gas lifting in order to checkmates corruption in the oil and gas industry through transparency and accountability.

Process network is a computation model in which many concurrent processes communicate through unbounded FIFO buffer and can be executed simultaneously. In real time digital signal processing applications execution time is infinite. However, failures of implementation hardware can occur. In our work, dynamic run-time reconfiguration is introduced into process network which ensures error handling, avoiding deadlocks, continuous and on-time result delivery. After dynamic reconfiguration, network execution results may become non deterministic, but this helps avoiding critical termination of network execution. In this paper, we present a description of possible failures of network execution and discuss the means for avoiding these failures.

This work analyzes the computational complexity of algorithm BEPtoPNSTwhich transforms a building-evacuation problem (BEP) into a time-ex-panded, process-network synthesis (PNST) problem. The solution of the latter  is  achieved  by  resorting  to  the  P-graph  method  which  exploits  the combinatorial nature of a BEP. Unlike other approaches, the P-graphmethod provides not only the optimal solution (best evacuation route as a function of egress time), but also the best n sub-optimal solutions. For  the  complexity  analysis,  a  generic  processor,  and  a  Random-access  machine (RAM) model were deployed as well as a mathematical model to calculate the number and cost of the operations performed. It was observed that  algorithm  BEPtoPNST  exhibits  an  asymptotic  complexity  of  order  O ( T | A | (| N | –k)). When solving a BEP, however, the total complexity grows exponentially with order O (T | A | (| N | –k)) + O (2h)) in the worst case; where h represents the total number of operating units specified in the corresponding PNST problem. Nevertheless, the computational comple-xity can be reduced significantly when the P-graph method is deployed.

services that are readily available in the locations in question. This arrangement was tested using an 8-hour high definition video
broadcast of a live religious outreach to a geostationary Satellite port for global view.

In the past 5-10 years many organizations have attempted more from stand alone business information systems to integrated systems referred as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The goal of this paper is to discover the post-implementation performance evaluation factors of ERP in a public university of Saudi Arabia and its customer value.
