The paper explores the intersection of literature and digital devices, examining how the shift from paper to screen affects writing and reading practices. It discusses the nature of digital textualities and the hybrid forms of literature that emerge from the use of smartphones and other devices. The authors analyze various case studies, including the role of social media in storytelling and the symbolic dimensions of hypermedia in modern literary practices, ultimately questioning the impact of digital culture on contemporary imagination and the evolving nature of narrative.

In this study, new types of writing that emerged with new media after 2000s will be discussed. Since the second half of the twentieth century, there have been rapid developments in mass media with transistor television and radio. From the eighties, with the progress and expansion of computer and the internet world and the increasing individualization of communication tools, it seems that the people's participation in sharing increases. As it is known, it started to be written and printed much more in the electronic media which appeared in 2000s and which developed very fast and especially in network environments. Blog writing, social media, chat rooms and so on can be just a few examples. Thanks to Android systems, mobile applications have emerged as well as many applications expected from a computer in a purely mobile environment and the computers have become comparable. Application, and shortly called Apps, offers many conveniences and innovations in almost every area and as an alternative to social sharing sites on the internet, WhatsApp chat / messaging application has emerged. This means that social networking networks are moved to mobile phones, which means that people cannot live without their mobile phones. All these technological developments have started to be used in education. In the context of this study, it will be mentioned about new and emerging types of writing and reading in terms of writing and reading activities we have discussed above. This includes apps that include a variety of writing and reading activities will be mentioned. In this frame, the literary-social movement named "Poem in Street" in the world of writing will be mentioned and the controversy of poetry will be discussed through the examples of rebirth in the new era. The basic viewpoint in this study is the new writing and reading activities and the emergence of a new understanding of literature or the reflections of technological developments to the world of literature and the readers. Keywords: Writing, reading and writing, the Internet, mobile applications, new media. 1.Introduction We live in a time when mass media, which we call new media, are highly diversified and technologies are developing very much. Therefore, all these technological tools, which have become very effective in almost every area of life, have entered the world of materials, culture, arts and literature and are also used very effectively. The most striking and up-to-date examples of this are the smartphone, PC-tablet, Android, iPhone systems and applications that we can use through these systems. Diversifications can be seen in the applications (Apps) lately. They also have many forms that are used in the world of literature. The debate here is what is present as novelty in terms of writing. In fact, there is not much new development in the context of writing. It is technological tools and technological tools that are close to existing innovations. All of this is in the world of writing, storing, archiving and most importantly sharing. The concept of globalization is actually expanding directly to all these technological tools. As a matter of fact, it seems that the accessibility to the world of writing and the sharing of the writings seems to have become very easy. The innovation that needs to be emphasized here is the fact that new types of writing have emerged in the world of literature. The application of Wattpad (Free books-Wattpad) which is a free story, poem, novel etc. reading and publishing activity is becoming increasingly prevalent. This change process, which begins with electronic mail, continues today as text messages. The subject that will be discussed in this study is the general discussion of the literature world shared with new technologies. These developments in the world of literature have attracted attention of literature and naturally have been included in research fields and they have been subject as research object. In this context, it can be said that the methods of science, which is called as the name of literature, changed the methods and adapted itself to the age. Michael Hofmann (2006) for the field of literary science that includes such works as the concept of intercultural
Various theoretical attempts at defining the shape of the text and the nature of textuality in the digital media space continue to establish that hypertext, taking advantage of digital platforms and software, is changing and altering texts, how they are written, as well as how they are read. Thus traditional concepts like text, textuality, writing/composition and reading have been re [de]fined in the digital textual environment. In the literary circle, this reconfiguration of the text effectively initiates the literary work and its language in the dynamic and experimental order of postmodernist texts.

Digital technology is changing the landscape of literary studies. In essence, the proliferation of computer technology and hypertext is forcing literary scholars to look at how the expanded role of the visual in our society is influencing the way we read and disseminate texts, especially hypertexts, while they also come to a better understanding of the role of the reader in a digital environment and the overall value of electronic literature. Literary studies is witnessing the birth of a new paradigm through digital technology in textual production and dissemination that will not only raise new questions, but further examine age-old literary issues. The following thesis will then explore several ideas concerning digital technology and literary studies including: ekphrasis, authenticity 'and value, and the nature of narrative. The introduction of digital technology onto the literary landscape has forced the re-evaluation of several aspects involved with literary studies, but more...

The special issue ''Reading Wide, Writing Wide in the Digital Age'' can be classified under the theoretical studies on digital literature and culture that, within Digital Humanities, take a qualitative and critical approach to their object of study. They deal with the production, circulation and reception of electronic textualities, widening the more restrictive notion what can be considered a literary text, while consciously considering the epistemological models that may be productive in their analysis. The selected papers presented here attempt to give a variety of responses to an increasingly important issue: how the 'wide' aspect linked to digital environments affects literary and textual practices and what the consequences may be. The particular characteristics of the digital medium have contributed to an unprecedented acceleration in the circulation of materials, texts, memories, knowledge and subjects, as well as a proliferation of interconnections on a huge, even global scale, while the paradigm of the national and the local still coexists alongside it. Changes to communicative processes and the way knowledge is accessed involve a broader, more dynamic and interconnected view of the world, a change in perception. The spread and increase of digital archives, the expansive forms of the globalisation of knowledge, the agglutinative extension of textual information and multimedia are breaking through barriers and allowing the dissemination of the object, be it text, book, corpus or subject. This leads us to wonder, firstly, given the wide, transcultural and even global scope of digital technology, if textual, particularly literary, practices of production, circulation and reception, are really changing; if this circulation is in fact changing writing and ways of reading. It is important to reflect on whether this circulation is widening literary practices by means of new forms of distribution, new communities

In the 'techno-culture' of present age we have become cyborgs and the realization of this truth has given rise to a critical perspective known as Technocriticism. An application of Technocritical ideas to literary production and studies helps in interrogating the basic concepts of literature such as text, narrative and linearity which is an interesting discourse in contemporary critical theory. Technocritics challenge the Aristotelian concept of literary plot with its linearity and organizational unity in which the reader was passively engaged and privilege the non-linear and non-authoritative hypertext in which the reader becomes a part of virtual reality. Technology has attained an indispensable place in our life today. The use of computer and information technology in the form of software, internet, World Wide Web, email, blog, social sites, e-commerce, e-journals, e-texts and online services has acquired such an important place in our life that nothing remains out of the grip of technology. Computer and digital media based learning has given birth to a new type of electronic text known as Hypertext which is impacting the traditional literary texts to a great extent. Gone are the days when Literature and Technology were considered pole a part things. In the age of Information Technology Revolution, technology has given new direction to literary studies by opening up new avenues to the production and dissemination of literary knowledge. This influence of technology on literary theory is known as TECHNOCRITICISM which offers an altogether new way to read, write, comprehend and think about the textuality of literature. In the 'techno-culture' of present age we have become cyborgs and the realization of this truth has given rise to a critical perspective known as Technocriticism. It is an acceptable fact now that technology has deeply penetrated our culture of which literature is an important
