At the same time, parents need to realize they have a big enough responsibility to ensure that children are not trapped or even victims of pedophile heinous acts. In this regard, this article analyzes several verses of the Quran, such as al-Taḥrīm [66] verse 6 on role of parents, and Luqmān [31] verse 13 and Ṭaha [20] verse 132 regarding education of faith and wordship, and al-Isrā' [17] verse 32 and al-Nūr [24] verse 30 about avoid adultery. These verses explicitly command Muslims to guard themselves and their families from the vices of pedophilia. Using a qualitative method, this study found the Quranic wises that sexual misconduct against minors such as pedophilia is an illegal and grave sin analogized through the premise of adultery, incest, and homosexuality. Therefore, every parent must fight hard to get stuck, let alone protect the perpetrators of this inverse disease. Parental awareness of the Quranic advice shared in this article is a gauge of the level of success against pedophilia.

Issues related to sexual misconduct have always been one of the factors causing breakdown of values and moral. This problem occurs not only in Malaysia, but in almost every country in the world. However, perspective on sexual misconduct might vary according to race, customs, and countries. Consequently, this study focuses on the issues of sexual misconduct from the Islamic perspective by evaluating them based on the Quranic sources in view of its relation with an element of maqāṣid al-sharī'ah, i.e. the Protection of Lineage, which has always been stressed in Islamic law. This study purports to identify the factors contributing to sexual misconduct during the time of Prophet Joseph and Prophet Luṭ, as well as emphasizing on the ways to solve these symptoms through ibrah (lessons) found in the Quran. Data collection is from secondary resources on the basis of literature studies and the collected data were analysed using content analysis. The findings showed five main factors of sexual misconduct; they are attraction towards physical appearance, seduction, existing opportunity, ignorance, and temptation of unnatural desire. The approach to address these issues involve outward methods such as giving advice and da'wah (call toward God) in wise manner. While spiritually, dependency on Allah through prayers and tawakkul (reliance) is continually practised as the main basis of submission to Him. Such methods that have been utilized to address sexual misconduct are still relevant to be implemented and applied in our times, specifically in our country, in order to curb and curtail the problem as well as safeguard the well-being of the ummah and the nation.

Infact, Islam considers it as one of the requirements of life that should be properly and lawfully satisfied. Moreover, Islam does not treat it as distasteful, filthy or heinous act of man. It also, considers "Zina" not only as a great sin but also as an act, which opens the gate for many other shameful acts, which destroys the very basis of the family, leads to quarrels, murders, ruins reputation/ properties and also spreads numerous diseases, both physical and spiritual. It is recommended that, Muslim should marry as early as they are able. The increasing permissiveness towards premarital sexual activities among Malay Muslim teens in Malaysia whose culture and religion (Islam) strongly oppose sexual activities outside marriage is indeed worrying. This scenario may possibly indicate that Muslim children are not getting the appropriate education and guidance in matters pertaining to sexuality amidst living in an era in which exposure to sexual content that encourages free expression of sexuality is high particularly through the widespread access to the internet at young age. Sexuality is a taboo subject in Muslim homes and many Muslim parents are not ready to discuss sexual issues with their children due to embarrassment, feeling of uneasy, and have lack of knowledge to do so (Nurullah et al, 2010, Jahanfar S et al, 2009). This paper discusses sexuality concerns faced by young Muslim adolescents at present with the focus on the responsibility of Muslim parents in educating their children on sexual matters based on the te...

Worship is practised by all Muslims worldwide, and even every Muslim can see that every worship will keep his practiser from sinning. Yet there is no question that some of these religious groups are engaged in inhumane acts by rendering their sexual pleasure perpetrators to children. Most paedophiles in Malaysia are figures of religious authority and give the religious teachings themselves a negative image. The problem is, does not the worship conducted, preclude the practitioner from sinning? To this end, this article aims to describe the philosophy of Sufism in worship, specifically Islamic foundations, as a study of paedophilia issues in care. Through implementing qualitative approaches, this article found that theories of Imam al-Ghazali (d. 1111) and Said Hawwa (d. 1989) were able to incorporate the Sufism meaning and observance in worship, while at the same time rendering the Islamic cornerstone a significant influence on the way of life of a believer.
Fulfillment of children's rights has been a concern of Indonesia stated in the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Act No. 23 of 2002 on Child Protection. However, violence against children is increasing each year. The most dominant violence emerged in recent years is sexual abuse committed against children aged 5 to 11 years, and the perpetrators of sexual abuse are close with the children. Concern about cases of sexual abuse in early childhood and their impact, should be followed by an effort to develop a variety of approaches and methods of sex education in accordance with religious and cultural values in which children live.

In Indonesia, the mode development of commercial children sexual exploitation has been carried out through the practice of Siri marriage. The lack of literacy in children, economic conditions of the family, environment and social status are the reasons why children are vulnerable to sexual exploitation. The research aims to examine the protection of children against commercial sexual exploitation through the Siri marriage mode from the Maqashid Al-Shariah perspective. This research uses normative juridical research methods with the statutory approach, conceptual approach, and normative theological approach. This research shows that Siri marriage based on Islamic law is permissible if it meets the requirements of marriage, but based on Indonesian national law, Siri marriage is prohibited if the purpose is to obtain material benefits for parents or the party to marry off children at an early age. Siri marriage can be used as a criminal offense if it is done against a child. Whereas in the Maqashid Al-Shariah perspective, marriage with children through Siri marriage is legal or permissible. However, the marriage will only produce part of the marriage purpose, while other objectives in perspective Maqashid Al-Sharia tend to be ignored because early marriage is prone to psychological problems and lack of skills in the family. As a result, marriage is considered to have the risk of producing bad things in the family, which can reduce the noble values that are the main mission of Islam.

Sexual crimes have seen a considerably increase in Indonesia. It not only affects women but also children. Sexual crime against children is also known as “pedophilia” and has now become a terrifying phenomenon. The escalation of sexual crime against children in Indonesia shows that there is a dire need to look into possible prevention strategies to sexual crime prevention. Considering the rapid increase of case of pedophilia in Indonesia, the government has enacted more severe punisment to the offender, that is, by imposing chemical castration under the Law No. 17 Year 2016 on the second amendment of the Law No. 23 Year 2002 on child protection. This article examines the causal factors of pedophilia by employing the social bonds theory introduced by Travis Hirschi. This research was based on a literature review with a descriptive analytical and comparative approach being taken. Among the main conclusions in this study are inter alia, that Islamic law provides the best protection for children when compared to conventional domestic legislation and international conventions on child protection. Today, many cases of violence are widely reported in the mass media. The most recent case is the problem of sexual violence that affects children, where most of the perpetrators are acquaintances of the victim. Children become targets of violence because their position is always judged as weak, helpless, and dependent on the adults around them. This study discusses the state and religion's role in protecting children from sexual violence. This research was conducted with a sociological approach through the resource mobilization theory. The results of this study inform the definition of violence, Islamic views on children, and efforts to protect children through the National Movement Against Sexual Crimes Against Children (Gerakan Nasional Anti Kejahatan Seksual Terhadap Anak; GN-AKSA).
