Abstract

Personalized medicine aims at restoring a real autonomy for the patient facing the medical attitude. Mobile app dedicated to health and the development of information technologies lead to a connected medicine so that the residual role of the physician remains to be determined. Yet, the physician-patient relationship relies on sharing emotions especially through nonverbal communication. What about this way of communication in case of a connected relationship through a digital interface? What about a strong and long-lasting physician-patient relationship when the patients' claims focus on immediacy? What about health education without a physician? This article compares this unexpected situation with the experience of the computer assisted-learning. This approach underlines the role on nonverbal communication to achieve a real transfer of information, and the gap between education and information. The evolving physician-patient relationship discloses new postures which need to consider nonverbal communication as an essential way to keep the meaning of emotions and the effectiveness of the exchange.
