This study investigates heavy quark states within the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, focusing on resonances and vector-like quarks (VLQs). Two main search strategies are employed: model-agnostic searches for resonances, such as the top quark-antiquark (t-tbar) resonances, and searches for VLQs through different production mechanisms. The results from the ATLAS Run 1 and Run 2 data analyses demonstrate constraints on the masses of specific VLQs and search for evidence of new resonances, with observations aligning with Standard Model predictions.
