Sexual abuse is a phenomenon that occurs in all societies, regardless of their stage of development, and implies a wide spectrum of relationships between an adult and a child, which basically has some of the elements of sexual intercourse at it basis. This relationship is difficult for the child to understand and can give mature consent to it. Namely, abuse occurs in different environments and comes from individuals, however, the kind that takes place within a family circle is rather specific. It contradicts sociological and commonly accepted stereotypes of family life as a place of safety and trust, but reality often shows the opposite: that family is a source of fear, pain and suffering for many children. The peculiarity of sexual abuse lies in the severe consequences in children and adolescents who experienced it, and it can be reflected in different segments of their professional and private lives. This question poses a great challenge to science and the expertise, and the research process is considerably hampered by the sensitivity and strong social prejudice of the problem itself, which is of course significant and influnetial for contemporary pedagogical science. This paper predominantly uses the meta-analysis method and includes 40 original scientific reports that sought to answer questions about what causes sexual abuse of children and young people in the family and what pedagogical implications in the family or school setting could arise from it. The results of this research show that it is necessary to to draw the public eye to the problem of sexual abuse and that educational institutions must take responsibility for protecting the rights and well-being of children and young people.

Relationship Between Concealment of Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Stigma, 2022
Abstract Child sexual abuse is an issue that has significant consequences for both the health of the individual and society, but it is not desired to be revealed and is often repressed. The cases reported to the judicial authorities are just the tip of the iceberg. This study aims to analyze the effect of “stigmatizing the victim”, which has an important role in keeping child sexual abuse concealed. To find the social risk factors of child sexual abuse and to determine the effect of sexual stigma on the victim, the forensic case files of children who were subject to sexual abuse and then referred to the Child Monitoring Center in Malatya between 2015 and 2019, were investigated. All files of 678 children who were registered as victims of sexual abuse between those years were analyzed using content analysis technique. As a result of the research, it was found that the confrontation of the victim children with sexual stigma caused the sexual abuse cases to remain concealed. Along with stigmatization, factors, such as dishonor and shame, fear of staying out of gender values, pressure from social environment and patriarchal family, being threatened, incest relationships, worrying about the reputation of the victim and her/his family are effective in concealment of the sexual abuse. The article concentrates on the problem of child abuse in the family, which is most usually manifested by physical and psychical violence. Despite the fact that when abusing the child parents usually do not intend to harm them but rather want to make them act in the desired manner, causing pain or distress and exerting physical or psychic violence may have many negative consequences on the child, both direct and distant in time. Based on the conducted empirical research, the article presents the scale of the problem and its consequences, as well as the parents’ opinions included in the study on violence during child growth and its effects on parents’ behaviour in situations related to child upbringing. It also demonstrates the relationship between child abuse and the manifestation of negative behaviours, directly resulting from violence. From among many forms of negative behaviours which may be related to physical or psychic violence, the study concentrated, among others, on aggression, using dependence agents (alcohol, narcotics, cigarettes, steroids and drugs) and escapes from home. The human being who is accepted as a good being in need of creation is the result of the interaction that he has established with his surroundings. He is ignorant when he is considered not to be equipped with the necessary information for himself when he is born and is making efforts to obtain this information. Firstly, these informants, which parents should make, try to go with the environment where they feel closer to them if the information of the parents is not sufficient. At this point abuse is on the agenda. Malicious people sail into a number of exploits under the image of helping children, especially by using their curiosity. For this reason, the aim of the research is to try to prevent sexual exploitation by ensuring that the needs of the children who want to have information on various subjects are saturated by the parents with the sexual education program. Through a sexual education program provided by parents or competent authorities, children will be better able to recognize themselves and to be careful of all the dangers they may have from their surroundings. The issue of sexual abuse presents cultural differences, especially in the eastern and western part of our country, in different forms. For this reason, the research was carried out in Ağrı province, which is in a different position due to its cultural structure. In the study, case study design was used. 97 people, 75 female and 22 male, who were reached by random sampling, were interviewed and the data obtained was analyzed by content analysis method and presented in tabular form. In the study, the thoughts are tried to be revealed on how children who were abused perceive this issue, why they hide and on educating children on sexual abuse to overcome this problem. When the findings were examined, it was seen that 91% of participants think that it would be appropriate to educate pre-school children about sexual information in order to protect them from sexual abuse. The percentage of those who advocate for teachers to be informed about child abuse is 97%. It is stated that the reasons for hiding the abuse are embarrassment, 61%, and fear, 39%. For the question, by whom children are abused, 61% of the respondents give a thought-provoking answer which is close environment. Because interviews with selected people after the first interview indicated that the interaction of the close environment with children is seen as normal. Our research and investigations done related to the topic show that abuse and particularly sexual abuse is experienced intensively in our country. In our research, it was determined that teachers, students and especially parents, have incomplete information about sexual education. For this reason, cooperation within the Ministry of National Education and Higher Education Institution should be ensured that the schools are equipped with sexual education programs that will enable teachers, students and parents to be more effective in sexual abuse.

Child vulnerability has been a growing agenda in everyday life. Child trafficking, child labor, physical abuse and sexually abuse are the issue in our ears in these days. This area has been neglected by the researcher due to its methodological difficulties, the only data that are eventually used are from the police station which again only few cases are reported. The research used a cross sectional design with sample size 100. This counted 70 for children, 15 for Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and 10 key informants. Open ended interviews were carried to parents and the key informants. A statically package for social science (SPSS) version 11.5 was used for data analysis especially for the quantitative analysis. It has been noticed that the society only perceive CSA as anal or vaginal penetration. The issue like non-contact sexual abuse like, abusive language (100%) and pornography (82.9%) were found normal among the respondent. The result also has shown that much effort by the stakeholders is placed on adult to child sexual abuse (ASCA) than child to child sexual abuse (CCSA) internet has also been the source of information to children about sexual images. Most of the children are vulnerably in the age of 10-15. There is a need to review the family, legal and local government responsibility in collaboration and to discuss the weakness in each institution.
