Violence in any form and reason specifically in educational setting will affects every individual. Teachers should be aware that violence has historical cycle in society, community, even in individual levels. Based on the consideration, this paper tries to: 1) understand the root of violence, its values and its personal and social characteristics; 2) recognize the social characteristics of patriarchy and matriarchy in educational setting, and the necessity for counselors of having matriarchal communication styles; and 3) assert the importance of school counselors to equip themselves with balanced, empathic, and mutual communication. This paper concludes that the root of violence is not inherent in human nature but socially learned and inherited. The main aim of this research are to describe (1) cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the cognitive apprenticeship using reciprocal teaching (RT), scardamalia and bereiter’s F.W (SB), and schoenfeld problem solving (SPS) strategies and (2) metacognitive skill level of students who are taught using the cognitive apprenticeship with RT, SB, and SPS strategies. This type of research is experimental research using the static group pretest-posttest design consisting of three classes of experiments with different treatments. Keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat dibutuhkan oleh setiap individu diabad 21. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat dilatihkan pada anak melalui pembelajaran di sekolah. Salah satu upaya melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah dengan menerapkan reciprocal teaching. Melalui reciprocal teaching, siswa dilatih untuk memahami suatu topik secara mendalam. Pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap suatu topik merupakan dasar dalam pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Oleh karena itu, penerapan reciprocal teaching dalam pembelajaran diperlukan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Nghiên cứu này nhằm tìm hiểu và đánh giá thực trạng của công tác cố vấn học tập trong các chương trình kỹ thuật của Khoa Công nghệ - Trường Đại học Cần Thơ. Kết quả phân tích dựa trên ý kiến phản hồi của 66 giảng viên đang thực hiện nhiệm vụ cố vấn học tập trong 119 lớp chuyên ngành thuộc các chương trình đào tạo của khối ngành kỹ thuật. Nội dung phân tích tập trung vào chất lượng và tiêu chuẩn của cố vấn học tập, thực trạng của hoạt động cố vấn học tập, những thuận lợi và khó khăn có thể ảnh hưởng đến hoạt động cố vấn học tập. Từ đó đưa ra một số đề xuất nhằm cải thiện và tăng cường công tác cố vấn học tập trong những năm tiếp theo.

Competition services company that happens in the present, especially the transport service which is services sectors that are consumed and have a huge impact on economic growth. To be able to withstand the competition, the company must continue to fix themselves to improving the quality of services to create customer satisfaction. One of the advantages which can be obtained by the company if the customer experience is the customer satisfaction will do the word of mouth. This study is conclusive research. The population in this study is the customer of General Travel Bureau Rosalia Indah Surabaya minimum 16 years old and have been using the services General Travel Bureau Rosalia Indah Surabaya at least twice. Samples taken as many as 158 people with accidental sampling technique. The measurement used is the questionnaire, and data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling. The results showed that the effect of variable services quality to customer satisfaction General Travel Bureau Rosalia Indah Surabaya amounted to 33.9%. The effect of variable customer satisfaction General Travel Bureau Rosalia Indah Surabaya against the word of mouth for 52.5%.

FAIR - NGHIÊN CỨU CƠ BẢN VÀ ỨNG DỤNG CÔNG NGHỆ THÔNG TIN 2015, 2016

Kỹ thuật lọc cộng tác (Collaborative Filtering -CF) là một kỹ thuật gợi ý phổ biến nhất được sử dụng nhiều trong các hệ thống gợi ý đã được tích hợp trong các website thương mại điện tử (chẳng hạn như amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, Yahoo! news, TripAdvisor.com). Kỹ thuật CF dựa trên giả thiết rằng những người dùng (user) có cùng sở thích thì sẽ quan tâm một tập item tương tự. Phương pháp phân cụm lọc cộng tác (Iterative Clustered CF -ICCF) và lặp cộng tác tối ưu trọng số sử dụng thuật toán PSO (PSO-Feature Weighted) thể hiện tính hiệu quả cho hệ gợi ý mà giá trị đánh giá thuộc trong tập {1, 2,…, 5}. Tuy nhiên, các kỹ thuật đó không thể trực tiếp áp dụng cho các hệ thống gợi ý trong thực tế mà giá trị đánh giá trong tập {0, 1}. Do vậy, bài báo này đề xuất việc cải tiến hai phương pháp ICCF và PSO-Feature Weighted để có thể áp dụng được cho các hệ gợi ý mà giá trị đánh giá thuộc tập {0, 1}. Kết quả thực nghiệm của hai phương pháp mà chúng tôi đưa ra áp dụng trên bộ dữ liệu hệ gợi ý công việc cho thấy độ chính xác mô hình dự đoán có cải thiện rõ rệt so với phương pháp CF truyền thống đồng thời cũng giải quyết được vấn đề dữ liệu thưa mà phương pháp CF thường gặp phải.

Parenting self efficacy as a cognitive part of parenting competence has emerge as a salient predictor of positive parenting practice and as a mediator effect of many parenting qualities, including parental depression and child temperament. Unfortunately, there are limited research focused on the analysis of psychological dynamic that explain the process of parenting self efficacy, especially in parents with hearing impairment who has limited access and social support related to child rearing. The aim of this study was to uncover the factors that form parent beliefs about their capabilities to perform child rearing. Seventeen parents with hearing impairment fill out the PSE questionnaire to see the estimation of their PSE degree. The research problem is the low ability students at class VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Rengel Tuban in using spelling and punctuation to write personal experience. It is seen from the data: 1) errors capitalization 89.65%, 2) misuse of prepositions 86.20%, 3) misapplication dot 75.86%, and 4) error use commas 41.37%. Researchers chose Jigsaw technique to overcome the problems. This selection was based on the advantages of Jigsaw technique is to learn together, the problems faced by students can be resolved. Results of the study: There was an increase in the ability to use correct spelling and punctuation in writing personal experience of students of class VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Rengel Tuban, namely: 1) errors capitalization decreased by 41.38% from 82.75% to 41, 37%, 2) misuse of prepositions decreased by 13.80% from 79.31% to 65.51%, and 3) the use of punctuation errors decreased by 75.86% from 82.75% to 6.89 %.

This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of group guidance with peer group technique to improve friendship-making ability among adolescents who live in an orphanage institution. An experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design was used. Forty young female teenagers who lived in Khoiriyah Hasyim orphanage institution in Surabaya were involved in the experiment. The subjects were chosen based on the pre-survey data collected using a questionnaire that shows the lack of their abilities in making friendship. Data were analysed using t-test. Uyển ngữ chỉ cái chết trong các ngôn ngữ khác nhau là đề tài thú vị cho nhiều nghiên cứu. Uyển ngữ chỉ cái chết trong tiếng Anh và tiếng Việt được một số nghiên cứu chỉ ra, tuy nhiên chưa có nhiều công bố về phương pháp dịch uyển ngữ chỉ cái chết từ tiếng Anh sang tiếng Việt. Nghiên cứu này, với dữ liệu trích xuất từ 63 bài diễn văn tiếng Anh, đã so sánh và phân tích các uyển ngữ chỉ cái chết trong tiếng Anh và các phương án dịch sang tiếng Việt, theo khung lý thuyết dựa trên các phương pháp dịch uyển ngữ do Barnwell (1980), Duff (1989), và Larson (1998) đề xuất.
