Pokémon is one of the most famous video games, which has more than 3.4 million players around the world. The interesting part of this game is to guess invisible information and the character of the opponent. However, existing Non Player Character (NPC) of this game is not a good alternative opponent to a human player because the NPC does not have variety of characteristics. In this paper, we propose a novel method to represent reflection-impulsivity characteristics of NPC by differences of the first stage prior distribution in Bayesian estimation used for decisionmaking of the NPC. In the experiment, we ask human players to take on three types of the proposed NPC and to answer the impression of those NPCs. As the result, the players feel different impressions from the three types of NPCs although they cannot identify the three types of the character (reflection-intermediate-impulsivity).

In their research on the "Holy Manʼs Rebellion," a millenarian movement that occurred in Thailand and Laos during the early twentieth century, historians have uncovered the concept of eschatology and belief in Maitreya. However, the idea of the eschatological salvation of the Lao, as derived from the Four Palm Leaf Manuscripts, has not yet been revealed. In addition, we do not know whether the Holy Manʼs Rebellion, in accordance with the tenets of Buddhism, was what influenced the spiritual belief systems of Lao society. Hence, in this study, we aim to reveal the concept of eschatological salvation and its connection with Cakkavatti, as well as the historical meaning of the Holy Manʼs Rebellion, in the context of Lao spiritual beliefs. We achieve this aim by analyzing the Four Palm Leaf Manuscripts that were handed down to temples, and also through the holy menʼs preaching to the Lao. We found that the eschatological savior of the Lao in the beginning of the twentieth century was a Cakkavatti; this belief was reflected in the divine right of kings. Furthermore, the holy men considered spiritual beliefs as being lower than Buddhist beliefs. This suggests that the words of holy men, who spoke hierarchically about Buddhism and spiritual beliefs, were spread among a wide range of peoples and became embedded within Lao society. Therefore, we discovered that there was significant meaning to the Laoʼs thoughts about subjectivity as well as the historical significance of the Holy Manʼs Rebellion.

This research analyzed the immediate reactions of 315 children (176 boys, 136 girls; 166 first-born) aged 0-16 years (mean=6.1, SD=2.4) to a major earthquake in January 1995 that killed more than 6,400 people. It examined children's ability to avoid hazards from sudden natural disasters. The earthquake onset was at 5:46 AM; 75.2% of the children were reportedly asleep in the same room with their parent(s) at the moment and 10.5% were alone. Parents were surprised by the earthquake, but many children's reactions were much weaker. About 30% of them reported little or no surprise, and even slept through the moment. Younger children had less of a reaction, and a frightened reaction was more notable after 7 years of age. Parents' typical reaction was to make bodily contact by embracing or lying over their children, and many grasped the hands of older children. The reactions of the children and parents were interpreted as developmental indicators of children's autonomous c...
