This paper focused on the development of a microcontroller based security system for indoor geo-location using motion detector. The system carried out intruder detection that reinforces surveillance technology to provide essential security with associated control and alert operations. The security pivots on the integration of cameras and motion detectors into web application. The Raspberry Pi, a smart surveillance system, takes input from the motion detector and controls (actuates) the pi camera for remote sensing and surveillance, sends the video to a web server which allows the user or homeowner to access the videos using a web application. The system, on intrusion alerts the owner by SMS, buzzes the alarm located at a convenient distant. The designed security system is characterized with efficient video camera for remote sensing and surveillance, featured with stream live video and records for subsequent replay and offers a cost effective ubiquitous surveillance solution, efficient and easy to implement.

In this paper, the design and realization of motion detector system for house security based GSM network is presents. The development of microcontroller carried out intruder detection that supports tracking techniques to provide vital security with control and alert operation inside and outside the home. The pivot of security on the integration the motion detector and cameras into web applications has become more interested. The smart surveillance Pi camera obtain the input from the motion detector and controller which is send the video to the web server allowing the homeowner to access this video by use web applications. An intrusion alert send to the owner by mean of message via mobile and buzzers alarms located at suitable distance. This system is typify proficient video camera for remote sensing and tracking with live video for succeeding play again to offers efficient and easy implementation with omnipresent surveillance solution.

In this paper, a smart surveillance system for home security is developed. The system consists of a motion detection system, an authentication system, an alert system and a web application control panel. It uses raspberry pi as the main controller which was programmed using python, a PIR sensor and a camera for motion detection and taking of images, an RFID reader/card for authentication, a USB modem for phone calls which also connect the device to the internet to allow it send images of an intruder to the owners email, a buzzer as an alarm and a web application control panel that could be accessed over the raspberry pi's Wi-Fi to manage the system. This system was tested using various scenarios such as user authentication, intruder or wrong authentication and it worked as expected.

As an integral part of the safety and security many organizations, video rental has established its value and benefits many times by providing immediate management of property, people, the environment and property. This project operates in the form of the Embedded Real-Time Surveillance System Based Raspberry Pi SBC for internal detection that enhances monitoring technology to provide critical safety in our lives as well as consistent performance and alert operation. The proposed security solution depends on our integration of cameras and motion detectors into a web application. Raspberry Pi operates and controls motion detectors and video cameras for remote hearing and monitoring, streams streaming video and recording for future playback. This research focuses on the development of a detection system that detects strangers and responds quickly by taking and transferring images to wireless modules based on owners. This Raspberry Pi program based on Smart Surveillance System provides a remote location monitoring concept. The proposed solution provides a fully functional, efficient and easy-to-use global solution. This project will also introduce the concept of motion detection and tracking using image processing. This type of technology is very important when it comes to surveillance and security. The live video stream will be used to show how things can be found and tracked. The detection and tracking process will be based on the pixel threshold.

Nowadays security has become an essential part in life especially home security. This is because the crime rate involving intrusion, burglary and robbery has increased drastically day and night especially in the residential areas. Thus, this project was introduced to increase the safely level by designing a cheap and affordable system which consist of a motion sensor, Arduino Yun; the communication between user and the system. This design also involves a webcam for remote viewing and speaker for the alert sound. An alarm will be triggered when motion detects a movement in the area. The webcam will then capture the picture and send it to the user via email. The email is then sent using the Simple Mail Text Protocol (SMTP). The prototype was developed and tested.

Home security is essential for occupant’s conveniences and protection. This research project designed and implemented a comparatively inexpensive smart surveillance security system that automatically captures an intruder’s image through a raspberry pi camera module and PIR sensor and sends mail to the user via Wi-Fi using the users registered email address. This system operates by triggering the Pi Camera through Raspberry Pi whenever an intruder comes in range using PIR sensor. The Pi camera will capture the image, save it and send the image of the intruder via mail to the user through the help of the command codes embedded in the Raspberry pi microcontroller. The object of the paper is to develop an alert system based on images for detecting the movement of trespassers. The images from the camera are compared with a reference image to detect any motion in the coverage area. If any motion is detected, a series of images are taken and transmitted to the Google drive via a Dongle connected to the Raspberry Pi and an email is sent to the user. Raspberry pi is a credit-card sized computer. There are various surveillance systems such as camera, CCTV etc. An android web application frequently checks the cloud for any new uploads. The user gets notification immediately, if any motion occurs in the coverage area. The user can download the captured images from the cloud through the web application.

— Existing motion detection security system detects the motion by sensing a change in the held view of the camera that is connected with the system and as soon as change is detected the alarm starts ringing. The limitation of this system is that it is not intelligent enough. When the motion is detected it does not sense whether change in the held view of the camera is due to an intruder or due to an authorized person. Hence, there was a need of more intelligent system therefore we have designed MSBSS keeping in mind the limitation of existing system. A low cost High Definition (HD) security surveillance system with motion detection and device control over the internet is explained in this paper. The system is reconfigurable and can be applied to many applications. However for the purposes of this project a system configured to monitor a home and home devices is explained. Further reconfigurability can make the system suitable for use in military surveillance, bank vaults and locker rooms, shopping malls and authenticated areas depending on the devices to be controlled. The real time surveillance is carried out by the D-Link DCS 930 IP wireless camera that works with both Wi-fi and Ethernet connection. Objectives-The aim of the project is to design and development of IoT based security surveillance system using Arduino and ESP32 Cam. Paper focuses on sophisticated visual based security surveillance technologies. In the previous era, we have monitored and recorded situations using surveillance cameras, but manually. One of the most significant and difficult areas of computer vision is surveillance and real-time monitoring, which has many applications in daily life, including security monitoring. Given that the recorded footage may be used to identify persons and track their movements, the installation of surveillance cameras and a sign warning that the area is being watched can significantly dissuade thieves and criminals. Research design/methodology-The system is designed to detect motion using a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and trigger the ESP32 Cam.In addition, the system is equipped with a SIM module that allows the system to send SMS notifications to a designated recipient in case of a detected motion event.The system provides a simple and efficient solution for monitoring and protecting the environment. Overview of findings-Wi-Fi, a local area network that operates in a scattered or local environment, can make it more sophisticated. One of the most popular communication technologies in use today is the IoT area that allows low transmit power & low cost is the Wi-Fi network protocol. The ESP32, comes with Wi-Fi. High network traffic and computing load are reduced by ESP32. With the use of sensors linked to the security cameras, this system enables the user to receive notifications whenever an intrusion is detected.

This paper is the survey of Smart camera based surveillance monitoring system using Raspberry pi. Camera based surveillance is important in all sectors, they can be colleges and hospitals, shopping malls and other challenging indoor and outdoor environments require high end cameras. This paper focus on low-cost project on single board computer Raspberry Pi. This is new technology and far less expensive and, it is being used as a main platform for video detection and acquisition. It can be used with involvement of mobile network (internet) to provide essential security and surveillance to our properties and for other control applications. Remote and scattered valuable and sensitive locations such as labs and offices inside university campus need efficient monitoring and warning system. As well as scattered area and belonging. This research presents a Real-Time intruder Surveillance System based on a single board computer (SBC). Thus the design and development of a cost effective surveillance management system based SBC that can be deployed efficiently in remote and scattered locations such as universities belonging. The fusion of embedded Python codes with SBC that attached to cameras, Long distance sensors, alerting circuitry and wireless module presents a novel integration based effective cost solution and enhances SBC of much flexibility of improvement and development for pervasive remote locations. The system proves the high integrity of smooth working with web application, it's cost effective and thus can be deployed as many of units to seize and concisely covered remote and scattered area as well as university belonging and departments. The system can be administrated by a remote user sparsely or geographically away from any networked workstation. The proposed solution offers efficient stand alone, flexibility to upgrade and cheap development and installation as well as cost effective ubiquitous surveillance solution. In conclusion, the system acceptable boundaries of successful intruder recognition and warning alert are computed between 1m and 3m distance of intruder from system camera. Recognition rate of 95% and 83% are achieved and the successful warning alert were in the range of 86-97%.
This paper deals with the design and implementation of Smart surveillance monitoring system using Raspberry pi and PIR sensor for mobile devices. It increases the usage of mobile technology to provide essential security to our homes and for other control applications . The proposed home security system captures information and transmits it via a 3G Dongle to a Smart phone using web application. Raspberry pi operates and controls motion detectors and video cameras for remote sensing and surveillance, streams live video and records it for future playback. It can also find the number of persons located with the help of the Infrared sensor.. For example , when motion is detected, The cameras automatically initiate recording and the Raspberry pi device alerts the owner of the possible intrusion having a smart phone. The comfort of being able to secure your house through a sensory system is imperative as it saves a lot of time and effort. Ordinary, human body motion detective security system without GSM Module has drawbacks of limited working alert range; however, the incorporation of GSM module overcomes this limitation. It provides comfort of being able to secure your house through a sensory, control over certain things that required constant attention. Instead of using a watchman that might eventually sleep off on post. Remotely the system allows the user to effectively monitor the house even when the house owner is at work; he can easily put his mind at rest. This paper presents dependable security system that is able to recognize human body (intruder) motion and send a notification text message to inform the owner(at any location in the world where there is GSM mobile network coverage) The system design is in three main phases: generally, the sensory, processing and the task. The sensory is the perception section that is done through PIR sensor mounted at watch-area, the processing is done by a programmed microcontroller, and the action (task) is done through an interaction of an attached GSM module to the processor (the microcontroller) that then send an SMS alert to the user.

The aim of this paper is to develop, implement and test an effective and practical working solution to a smart motion detector for LPWAN technologies using appropriate software and hardware platform. The smart motion detection system consists of a Raspberry Pi, an LCD display, PIR sensors, and wires. The hardware design collaborates with Python programming by being installed on a Raspberry Pi, and it is a key function to detect who is entering a room. The proposed smart motion detector will be able to detect whether a person is leaving or entering a room by analyzing signals from multiple motion sensors. The research carried out a comparative analysis of LoRA, SigFox, NB-IOT Low Power Wide Area Network technologies which include the principle of operation, characteristics, hardware, and make recommendation for the most suitable technology. The remote status update function implementation was done where the system sends the motion events to the cloud over a wireless interface using MQTT protocol. The evaluation which was based on extensive simulation demonstrated the detection of each sensor.

Security is an essential need for man. Without the sense of security, daily human activities will be greatly affected. Most people go to great lengths to ensure there is a presence of security in their environment, often employing dedicated personnel to keep watch over them and their property. This paper proposes a design of a microcontroller based electronic security system which helps to detect possible intruders to a home. This security system is designed to reduce the need of having personnel stationed as security guards over a home. It has the primary unit called the Area Watch Unit (AWU) consisting of a motion detection unit that effectively detects motion around specified perimeters which is then followed by a computer vision to identify and classify what caused the motion. A facial recognition algorithm is run on the face extracted from the image captured after the object that caused the motion is identified and classified as human. Access is then granted to the individual if the results from the facial recognition is positive otherwise a message is sent to the owner of the home indicating a possible intruder is present. There is also a Final Recovery Unit (FRU) which sends a message to the owner of the home and sounds an alarm whiles flashing lights in the event that the Area Watch Unit (AWU) is bypassed without authority.

Abstract: Forgetting to put off the electrical device while not in use, keeping the device ON while not necessary, thus leading to wastage of power has become common in our day to day life. Not much attention is paid towards such silly mistakes, but these little wastages can form a formidable amount of overall energy wastage if we consider the same mistake happening in every work place, house, educational institute, public place etc. In today’s world, wherever everybody needs to keep their valuables safe and secure, video surveillance for observing a particular area has become the need of the hour. We are proposing a system which consists of PIR sensor for energy saving and MEMS Accelerometer sensor identify intrusion attack and alerts to the owner using GSM Modem. We can observe the person using live camera on webpage.
Video analytics is one of the quickest growing and vital domains of research. Video analytics is the process of analyzing the video and detecting various activities through it. Video analysis can be used in many fields such as improving video quality, adding animations, and much more. But the most important use of video analysis is for security. Motion detection can be used with CCTV cameras to enhance security and make it more user-friendly. CCTV camera is the most basic instrument used for surveillance purposes at home, school, office, and many more places. Normal CCTV cameras record all the footage of the range which it captures and save it into a storage device. Recording and storing full-day footage is of no use. Many times, there are no activities, and still, it records the footage of blank background. This blank background takes a lot of space. Also, when a user wants to see the footage again, he or she has to go through the whole video to find a particular moment. This problem can be solved by using analyzing the video at run time through motion detection. Proposed is a system which can be used with CCTV cameras, to make it more efficient and user friendly. The video which is captured frame by frame will be analyzed using a motion detection algorithm. The algorithm uses the MobileNet SSD model for detecting the person in the frame and Centroid tracker and Non-Max Suppression algorithm for tracking and detecting the motion. The footage part in which the motion is detected will be saved in the used storage device and the rest will be ignored. The system also provides an alert system for those who want to know about the activity immediately. If any activity is detected at a given time range, a message will be sent to the owner or the person in charge.
