Análise de um sistema de avaliação em um curso ead

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the evaluation system of a course about prevention of drug use in Distance Education (DE), offered nationwide to 40.000 people. The assessment of the learning process of the participants was composed by pre- and post-test, conducted through an online instrument with 20 questions. The sample consisted of 15.629 participants in the pre-test, 9.175 participants at post-test and 5,986 participants who answered both pre-and post-test. Treatment procedures and data analysis involved descriptive statistics, comparison of paired means, calculating the effect size of the analyzes, the Cronbach alpha (α) and factor analysis. The average total score on the pre-test was 15,7 points (N = 15629) and post-test 16,3 points (N = 9175). When comparing the mean of pre-and post-test with the t test, there were no significant differences in mean total scores. When a measuring instrument is utilized, is important to consider the standardization of items and their application, in order to minimize intervening variables on the results. Although participants have pointed to the course as satisfactory, evidence shows that only active participants in the course responded polls and instrument of the final course evaluation.
