To achieve this objective, the researcher conducted a field study on a sample of (20) shareholding companies working in the banking and insurance sectors (about 83% of the Syrians listed firms). A questionnaire containing six questions which cover the six principles of corporate governance was distributed to explore the sample's opinion about how much Syrians shareholding companies comply with those principles. The major findings of this study indicated that there were no significant differences between the level of the banks' commitment to the principles of corporate governance and the level of insurance companies' commitment.

This research aims to shed light on the impact of corporate governance on the performance of listed companies in Damascus Securities Exchange (2012-2016). To achieve this objective, the researcher used a hypothetical-deductive approach to formulate the hypotheses; and analyzed the financial statements of all shareholding Syrians listed companies. Results indicate that, despite of the variation in applying corporate governance between listed companies, there is a sufficient level of commitment to the principles of corporate governance. As well as, the results showed that all performance indicators effected by corporate governance principles. The results of this study provides an empirical evidence to policy makers and regulators in Syria to emphasize the importance of the continuation of Syrian companies to abide by the applying of the principles of corporate governance; as well as the need to find a unified measure corporate governance can be applied in Syria; and at the same time the need to educate the public concerning corporate governance.

يهدف البحث إلى بيان نظام الحسبة في الفقه الاسلامي وأثره في ضبط حركة السلع في الأسواق و تنظيمها، ومراقبة أحوال التجار في البيع والشراء ومحاربة الغش والتدليس ، حماية للمستهلكين، وإحقاقا للحق وإبطالا للباطل، فقد أمر القرآن الكريم عموم المؤمنين بعدم أكل أموالهم بينهم بالباطل، إلا عن طريق التجارة الحلال، المبنية على قواعد النزاهة والعدالة الاجتماعية، بعيدا عن الظلم والجور كما حاولت هذه الدراسة مقارنة المبادئ الشرعية بالأحكام القانونية الواردة في قانون حماية المستهلك وقمع الغش رقم 09-03 وخلصت الدراسة إلى ضرورة تفعيل دور جهاز الرقابة في مختلف مراحل العمليات التجارية؛ سواء في مراحل التخزين والتموين، أو في مراحل التسويق بالجملة أو التجزئة، حماية للمصالح المادية والمعنوية لجمهور المستهلكين.

The main aim of the research is to establish scientific foundations by identifying the impact of the application of mandatory governance rules on risk management in the investment sector companies listed on the Palestine Exchange. To answer the research questions and test the hypotheses of the research, the researcher relied on the analytical descriptive method in explaining and clarifying the theoretical side, and analyzing the results of the applied study. The results of the research also showed that there is an effective control system in the companies of the investment sector listed on the Palestine Exchange, which is closely related to risk management and is an essential aspect of corporate governance. The study also recommended that the companies of the investment sector listed on the Palestine Exchange establish a comprehensive framework for risk management in each department and management within these companies.

Corruption is a major cause of the spread of social, political and economic problems, as it is a social phenomenon that represents all aspects of society, which requires international efforts to combat it. Corruption exists in all governmental and private sectors through personal control or the monopoly of services and others, and corruption constitutes an obstacle to economic activity and negatively affects the business and investment circles and economic growth and drives backwardness, so we discussed corruption in this research and its repercussions on the economic development plans of countries by identifying what corruption is And its types and indicators of corruption and its impact on the economic development of countries and we dealt with anti-corruption mechanisms. We dealt with the mechanisms of combating corruption by spreading public awareness among members of society about the dangers of corruption and the need to combat it, and to ensure the selection of qualified people to occupy public and private jobs and justice in the distribution of salaries and benefits (equality between wages and productivity, activating the role of oversight and regulatory agencies, and legislative and judicial prosecution of corruption.
