Evangelikal: jurnal teologi Injili dan pembinaan warga jemaat, 2023
Parents must nurture their children from their earliest days to know God personally. However, some parents sometimes do not realize this and neglect their responsibility. Thus, this study explores how parents and the church should develop a mutual partnership in children's spiritual education. The author used a qualitative method with a literature approach to investigate the problem and propose suggestions. The conclusion was that the parent is the primary responsible party in educating children. But, they can not do this task independently without the church's help. Since relying on Sunday School as part of the church's responsibility for teaching children alone is not enough, the church could help them by providing training that educates parents to do their parental responsibilities. And to ensure that the education at home will overlap with church teaching, Sunday School teachers and parents as partners should develop mutual respect and communication. If everyone involved in children's ministry, directly or indirectly, could cultivate this joint responsibility, it would help children grow in fear of God and be better people. As the future generation, improving the quality of our ministry for children will eventually create a better church, now and later.

Christian education has grown, expanded and diversified during the late twentieth and the beginning of the twenty first century. With more emphasis being put on meeting the educational needs of diverse ages within the church, various developments have characterized adult education programs. These programs which aim at meeting adults’ spiritual and educational needs include single adults and small group ministries which provide informal times for fellowship, Bible study, caring and prayer groups. Outreach programs include the seeker services and short-term mission trips, and para-church events like Promise Keepers. This paper is a review of literature on adult education. The author makes reference to a study undertaken in Episcopal churches in the Diocese of Los Angeles within the Southern California region. The key elements discussed in this paper include a historical overview of Adult Christian Education in America where the author points out the non-formal learning context. The p...

Spiritual growth is widely attested in the literature of world religions and increasingly recognized in the business, health care, mental health, and self-help literature. However, this phenomenon is rarely addressed in the adult learning literature, especially from a perspective that attempts to understand the nature and meaning of the experience. The purpose of this study was to better understand the experience of spiritual growth and its relationship to adult learning and the theory and practice of adult education. Twelve adult volunteers participated in this study, documenting their experiences of spiritual growth over the course of a year through the qualitative methods of journal writing, reflection, and individual and group interviews. Findings show that spiritual growth is a unique form of adult learning with six fluid components including experience, bracketing, reflection, awareness, activity/relationships, and attribution. The broad range of learning experiences that were...

When we talk about spirituality, a conventional way of thinking is the connecstion to religion, which is why this paper will give an insight into the common definition of spirituality from various perspectives until its meaning is based on the conviction of Catholic Faith and the teachings of Jesus in the Gospel. Discussions on Spiritual Development have been overlooked in secular educational settings even though spirituality plays a pivotal role in shaping students' personal, emotional, and social well-being. This research will analyze the effects of Spiritual development and its contribution to the holistic development of students by developing a sense of connection to the divine and others. They are searching for meaning in life that leads them to personal and communal prayer and worship as well as the enforcement of their values to act accordingly. This research also explores how education, in general, plays a crucial role in developing one's spirituality, especially in public school settings that have no institutionalized religion, such as theology classes, compared with private Catholic schools.

The purpose of this qualitative case study was to explore how 10 Pentecostal-Charismatic college students perceived the influence of Pentecostal-Charismatic religious practices on their spiritual maturity in Florida. All Christian denominations are distinctive and identified by name, style of leadership, doctrine, beliefs, practices, and spiritual activity. One of Pentecostals distinctive beliefs, adherents are taught from scripture that the initial evidence of being baptized in the Holy Spirit-speaking in tongues (e.g., Acts 2:4, 10:45-46). To explore this phenomenon, the researcher interviewed college students and a campus pastor, and students responded to a spiritual maturity index as a questionnaire to determine the student's level of spiritual maturity. Current findings revealed students who received the baptism in the Holy Spirit identified two spiritual gifts given with their experience-speaking in tongues, and prophetic utterance. These students perceived the gift of tongues, the prophetic, and the gift of healing enhanced lives. Therefore, with this positive perception, these college students shared their gifting in worship services, with friends and family, and even with strangers. However, the study failed to find a direct connection between students' perception of the spiritual gifts and how it influences spiritual maturity.
