The article analyzes the dynamics of socio-economic development in the regions in recent years, and the factors that have changed the quantitative and qualitative changes in them. Indicators of the impact of the new economic and social facilities on the living standards of different economic regions and Baku city were also given, including the Theil index and Gini coefficient for economic regions. The article uses systematic analysis, scientific logical summarization, economic classification and other research methods. At the end of the analysis, the relevant findings were substantiated.
The quality of life is affected by many factors, which can be combined according to the similar attributes into some dimensions. A major impact on quality of life has a feeling of security. The quality of life is directly related to the development of regions that can be examined through subjective and objective indicators as well as the security situation. The paper is going to deal with selected socioeconomic indicators of regional development that directly affect the safety of citizens, and therefore their quality of life. There will be evaluated primary socioeconomic indicators of regional development such as regional gross domestic product, the level of economic activity, the rate of regional employment and unemployment, the average regional wages. Trough comparison of the above indicators can be seen if the qualities of life in Slovak regions have been positive and what is the position of regions in terms of development.
The main purpose of this article is to examine theoretical and methodological framework for assessing the differences in the level of economic development and quality of life in the regions. The study of existing approaches to the regional classification led to a conclusion of insufficient use of opportunities in the comparative analysis of such research angles as comparison at the federal level and examination of the situation in the territory in dynamics to determine the rates of change of the measured indicators. In connection with this, the author elaborated a method of static and dynamic analysis of differences in the level of economic development and quality of life based on the developed system of indicators, and formed a typology of regions on the basis of this system. The typology involves the division of territories into four clusters according to their level of development under static conditions (in absolute terms at the Russian level) and in dynamics (in relative terms at the national level). The end of the article presents the results of application of this method in the Siberian Federal District (SFD) (analytical framework for 2003-2013), according to which the social and economic indicators of the SFD fall significantly behind the national average ones under static conditions, but have higher dynamic estimates. In some regions, the situation varies considerably. The article also contains the methodology for determining the relationship between indicators of the level of economic development and quality of life to assess the impact of the crisis on satisfaction of the population needs.

As a rule, the source information and methods used for construction of many indices have specifics that allow authors and experts to consider these indexes as original and recommend them for use in solving a number of management tasks. However, a comparative analysis of such indices sometimes shows that despite the peculiar names and methods of calculation, some of them do not have significant statistical differences. This paper presents an approach that allows us to compare an arbitrary set of indices and ratings that characterize the level of socio-economic development of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the space of characteristics of differentiation used in solving regional management problems. The purpose of the study is to identify indexes that do not differ significantly. Eighteen indexes are compared. At the first stage of the study, their correlation analysis is performed. The most critical Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the promotion of sustainable economic growth, the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequality within countries. The hypothesis of the study is the assumption that the achievement of the SDGs in the country depends on the reduction of socio-economic inequality in the West Kazakhstan regions, which includes four regions of the country: Mangistau, Atyrau, Aktobe, and West Kazakhstan. This formulation of the question is because earlier studies by the article's authors indicate a discrepancy between the level of social well-being of a given region and the actual contribution to the development of the country's economy. The aim of the article is to study the dynamics and degree of socio-economic development inequality of the Western Kazakhstan region and to develop recommendations on measures of state regulation to reduce it. To achieve this goal, the methods of generalization, concretization, economic-statistical, index, and comparative analysis were used. The result was a system of indicators for measuring the level of socio-economic stability of regions, taking into account country specifics, a study of trends, and an assessment of the degree of inequality in the socio-economic development of the regions of Western Kazakhstan, and recommendations for improving regulatory methods to reduce regional disparities. The authorities can use the recommendations to make decisions on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the regions of Western Kazakhstan.

The first and most important goal of all governments is development. Surely one of the most important factors of development is economic development, but this is not the only parameter since development is not merely an economic phenomenon. Intense population focus and imbalance are characteristic of third world countries, resulting from polarized growth policies. So, a limited number of areas have key roles and the other areas act as marginal. The first step to solve this problem is to understand disparities in economic, social, and cultural aspects. This research seeks to measure the degree of development of the cities of Gilan province, Iran. According to some development indexes in order to obtain the rates and causes of regional inequalities along with a way to reduce the underdevelopment of the region. Therefore, economic indexes have been used. After the analysis of the model, the results indicated that there is a fundamental difference among the cities with respect to develo...

Regarding the necessity of regional integrated development, analyzing the dependency of human habitats in region-level, is the main duty in every planning. Optimal distribution of the population and distribution of socioeconomic development procedure, is the ultimate goal of analyzing regional systems. Therefore, deprivation and inequality reduction is an important matter, due to its economic and social consequences and needs proper attention. In fact, to achieve comprehensive development and progress in the future; requires the recognition of different areas and regions. Using quantitative methods and criteria in order to classify the habitats in spatial system of regions, in one hand leads to identifying the inequality level of habitat points, and on the other hand is a criterion to try for reducing and eliminating the inequality between them. The purpose of this paper is to identify the development level in the cities of Golestan province. By investigating and analyzing the quantitative criteria in three economic, social and services categories; which are extracted from the up to date statistics of statistical almanacs and by making use of TOPSIS model which is considered to be one of the multi-criteria methods of evaluation, it was concluded that due to the used criteria, there's a large gap between the cities of Golestan province and an unequal development between them; the western cities, located between the capital city and Mazandaran province, are relatively better developed. Therefore, the cities of Gorgan, Gonbad Kavoos and Maraveh Tappeh have the first three ranks, respectively and two cities of Maraveh Tappeh and Ghalish are among the most deprived cities and are placed in the bottom of the ranking.

Disparities across regions and provinces are on the agenda of both developed and developing countries. Differences in terms of development and income between regions are becoming more important policy challenge particularly in developing countries. As a developing country, interregional disparities are seen intensively at east-west direction in Turkey. In recent years with the process of harmonization with the European Union policies, interregional disparities problem and regional development policy issues came to the fore in Turkey. In this paper, Diyarbakır-Şanlıurfa region, located in Southeast Anatolia, the largest region with respect to population identified as regional growth poles by Ministry of Development, is discussed in the framework of regional economic development and competitiveness. Diyarbakır-Şanlıurfa Region is the seventh largest region in Turkey according to population, but socioeconomic development rank of the region is 23 between 26 NUTS 2 regions in Turkey. According to economic base model, local economy shapes regions' size and welfare level. "Information about an area's future population is incomplete without a parallel understanding of the local economy that largely shapes its future." (Klosterman, 1990) As method of the study; in order to determine the basic and leading sectors of regional economy, location quotient technique will be used. Then shift-share analysis will be used to determine competitive areas/sectors of the region and to see economic projection of region. Finally findings and results of the two analyses will be compared and regional economic policy will be developed in the light of the findings. The findings showed that the region has a rapidly growing economy depend on "agriculture", "construction", "mining", "transportation and storage" and "human health" sectors and also for manufacturing industry "food products", "textiles", "non-metallic products"
