India is one of the ancient civilizations of the world which has stood the test of time. In fact what makes Indian culture unique among other ancient civilizations is its ability to accommodate and assimilate external influences and weave them into its own cultural fabric. This composite influence has not only enriched the cultural milieu of India, it has also made it stronger. Indian art, architecture, music, language, philosophy and religion reflect this diversity of influence that has occurred through centuries. This is the beauty of Indian Culture and Heritage. As Indian citizens not only do we need to be proud of this pluralistic and rich cultural heritage but also to study it objectively and assess it critically.

In this article, I foreground the granular movements that determine the ubiquitous nature of India’s new media economy created by the advent of streaming media platforms and the emergence of regional online content creators in India. I argue that the increasing preference of Indian audiences to consume online content in their own language has led to a demand for ‘regional’ content, whereby streaming platforms and online creators are increasingly investing in ‘non-Hindi’ and ‘non-English’ language content to cater to the linguistically and culturally diverse Indian population. Through a primary focus on online content creation practices in Bengali and Marathi languages, the article explores their ‘local’, ‘regional’, ‘transnational’ and ‘global’ appeal, and subsequent blurring of boundaries between ‘regionalization’ and ‘localization’. The remainder of the article focuses on the emerging diaspora of regional online content creators who are adopting distinct content strategies to develop relationships with online communities based on commonalities of language and culture.
Cultural development is a historical process. Our ancestors learnt many things from their predecessors. With the passage of time they also added to it from their own experience and gave up to those which they did not consider useful. We in turn have learnt many things from our ancestors. As time goes we continue to add new thoughts, new ideas to those already in existent and sometimes we give up some which we don‟t consider useful any more. This is how culture is transmitted and carried forward from generation to next generation. The culture we inherit from our predecessors is called our cultural heritage. This heritage exists at various levels. Humanity as a whole has heritage a culture which may be called heritage. A nation also inherits a culture which may be termed as national cultural heritage.

In times when India's image is fast changing, culture plays an eminent role. The question is of the texture of the great Indian dream the world will experience and see. The entire context of culture therefore assumes a wider and crucial overlay. It will address and assume awareness of our identity of how the world perceives us, how countries or group of people will associate, work, interact and align with us.
