PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING STUDIES: A CONTENT ANALYSIS, 2019
Problem Based Learning (PBL) is basically an approach that enables students to learn and engage in a context meaningfully so as to manage or solve complex real-life problems, and to foster students' critical thinking and problem-solving process skills. It is of great importance to analyze researches conducted in Turkey systemically and periodically. Thus, we can have a comprehensive idea about the reflection of PBL upon the Turkish education system, enabling insight for new or experienced researchers interested in PBL to be informed about existing researches and publishing. In this study, master's and PhD theses related to PBL indexed on National Thesis Center during the years between 2014 and 2018 have been analyzed contextually from the point of different variances. The master's (n=27) and PhD theses (n=13) that are involved in this study has been considered according to the categorized 10 themes in total. The data of this research have been gathered through the descriptive model. The findings of the study demonstrate that the majority of the theses have been carried out by female researchers (62,5%), at the level of master's (67,5%), based on the mixed research method (55,0%), with experimental research model (81,4%), at Ataturk University (17,5%) in Erzurum (18,4%), and in 2014 (27,5%).

Today teacher-centred instruction is in decline, while learning and teaching approaches putting student in the centre and aiming to encourage them to learn by doing and living started to take place in the curricula. One of these methods is problem-based learning. In problem-based learning, individuals construct their own knowledge, provide solutions to the problem they have encountered in the beginning and test their own hypothesis. As indicated in literature, problem-based learning has several contributions to learning process. Problem-based learning provides improvement for problem solving skills, self efficacy beliefs (Kaptan & Korkmaz, 2002; Hmelo-Silver, 2004; Yaman & Yalcın, 2005) self directed learning skills, critical thinking skills and cooperative learning skills (Sonmez & Lee, 2003; Akinoglu & Tandogan, 2007; Araz & Sungur, 2007; Tarhan & Acar, 2007). The global processes of the modern society dictate new approaches in modern education. Therefore, an education system are made very high demands: it has to prepare the specialists for life and work activity in the quickly changing world, where the person performs non-standard tasks constantly. Use of various new techniques improves the process of studying, teaches the student to think and really to use their knowledge gained at the lectures. In this article we will consider a method of "Problem Based Learning" which promotes deeper understanding of the studied material and application of the gained knowledge in practice. Akaki Tsereteli State University takes an active position in implementation of the modern educational technologies, including the problem-based learning. Now within the university education this method is used at the individual level. New practice is in a traditional framework of the existing educational system, it treats the activity of each individual teacher and so it is very private. At this level changes don't have great influence on the University. In fact, they are carried out so that anybody doesn't know about it, except the involved teacher. The method allows not only to form and fix skills of knowledge acquisition, but also to learn specifics of work in team.

Purpose of Study: The aim of the study is to identify and build an appropriate learning model for elementary school students that will ensure a quiet learning environment. Methodology: This research used both qualitative and quantitative approaches, as well as research and development techniques. The research was divided into two stages: exploration and experimental studies. Meanwhile, 50 learners, thirteen educational tutors, and six persons from the literacy program administration were chosen for the analysis by purposive sampling. Main Finding: According to the findings of the study, problem-based learning contributed to an increase in literacy in an entrepreneurship literacy program. Research Implication: The study's findings revealed that PBL implementation was anchored in a learning program and learning management. The discovery also aids in the development of the curriculum's learning methodologies, learning resources, learning media, and learning evaluation. Novelty/...

The purpose of writing this article is to find out the problems and provide solutions in the learning process, how the learning model can be interesting, and make it easy for students to understand the material presented by the teacher. This article is compiled using a literature study approach regarding theories that can be studied following the appropriate learning model to be applied in the learning process, namely problem-based learning and problem-solving models. So based on the study conducted, that the problem-based learning and problem-solving learning model is one of the solutions in the learning process to deal with problems in mathematics in elementary schools. Under the results of review articles by researchers getting 93% results with 28 samples saying that the problem-based learning model is more effective than

the article deals with the issues based on analyzing the efficiency of problem based learning and it’s organizational process in teaching. Problem-based learning consists in creating (organizing) problem situations, understanding, accepting and resolving these situations in the process of joint activities of the student and teacher with the maximum independence of the first and guiding guidance of the second. Such activities develop students' interest, satisfaction with the educational process, activation of the need for self-actualization and, as well as helps to form a creative personality.
