A detailed study of the organization, functioning, and requirements for the development of new information system of Cotton Craft (Pvt.) Ltd. was carried out which suggested the features and characteristics of the new information system. Because of the need of coordination with international markets, Cotton Craft (Pvt.) Ltd., needed a fast, feasible, and efficient information system which could hold there
The objective of this study was to design and develop information system for XYZ company to assist in improving the effectiveness of there manufacturing processes. The proposed system was designed to assist a small manufacturing company transition from traditional methods of record keeping and reporting to scheduling and planning utilizing enterprising software. The system includes basic functionality for general manufactuting processes and is customized to fit the requirements of the XYZ company. The new system has 2 established a structured flow connecting the all the basic processes starting from entry of custom order in the system to finalizing the customer order and dispatch. This will potentially asssit the company to trace the production process and allows for monitoring the production process in the shop floor through various checkpoints. Anticipated preliminary outcomes from a new system would be to assist the company to manage the inventory, and to schedule the work process.

Inventory management must be implemented properly so that the flow of goods can be controlled easily. A large number of small sized tools and materials in the workshop of Garment Engineering major require a well-managed inventory. Moreover, the rapid circulation of their inflow and outflow also needs to be addressed well. The garment workshop managers currently only record the material flow manually in the logbook, so it is necessary to design an application that can help them achieving more effective and efficient records. This designed application contains information about the amount of workshop material inflow, outflow and their availability. There are other features which considers the number of materials needed based on the available stock. Barcode system is also utilized to ease the data input process. Usability test was then performed to the application using System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, resulting in average of 63,75 from all of the respondents. That value sho...

Inventory control is controlling the materials movement to fulfill the requirements. The materials can from the direct and indirect materials. the indirect materials are the materials that cannot be calculated according to the bill of materials. Indirect materials need safety stocks, so the requirements can always be fulfilled, means it need the control and monitoring of their levels. To control the movement of the materials, each department have roles to control and information that need to be shared. PT XYZ is an automotive assembler company, the company need a tool to control the indirect materials inbound and outbound and control its stock. This research is to have the tool that will be a web-based program because to share the information throughout the department of planning, production, and logistics. In developing and implementing the program itself, the RUP methodology is used to guide in doing this research with having four phases and activities that support the research. T...
The goal of this paper consists of analysing the growing phenomena of buyer and seller relationship process automation in the textile industry.

A good information system would increase the company's productivity. One of the most important thing that to be concerned was the procedures. Good and organized procedures would create company standards. Through the research data collection through interview and observation, there were 6 (six) big procedures of Noodle Factory X, Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia, which were Material Purchasing Procedure, Material Arrival Procedure, Material Stock Recording Procedure, Finished Good Stock Recording Procedure, Finished Good Shipping Procedure, and Finished Good Selling Procedure. PIECES Analysis were used in this research to analyze the system, including Performance, Information, Economics, Control and Security, Efficiency, and Service. The overall results were material stock counting still used manual system and it could cause human error in doing it, and it was also not real-time count. If the material stock was already real-time count, the material stock recording procedure would not interfere the production process, so it could produce on time. The receipt was still manual, without the company's identity such as logo and name of the company. Information was not realtime produced. Report service for the management was also a bit slow. Some recommendations were given, such as giving the signature/stamp on the receipt as a proof that it was the receipt that was issued by company, try to implement a simple computerized system, improve the Big Book (for writing the stock), separate the book for material stock and finished good stock at office and at the factory.

This research is to create an on-time production system design with Heijunka model so that the product diversity for all models could meet time and capacity requirements, own production flexibility, high quality, meet the customers' demands, realistic in production as well as creating a web-based local components' order information system that supports the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The Heijunka model for equalization with heuristic and stochastic model has been implemented for productions up to 3000 units by implementing Suzuki International Manufacturing. The inefficiency in the local order information system demanded the need for a new information system design that is integrated in ERP. Kaizen needs to be done is the Supplier Network that all vendors can download and utilize those data to deliver the components to the company and for vendors' internal uses as well. The model design is presumed effective where the model is able to be utilized as a solution so that the production can run according to the schedule and presumed efficient were the model is able to show the reduction of loss time and stock.

An inventory Information System is an Information System that provides information from several processes including procurement of goods, warehousing, and reporting. Therefore it is necessary to create an Inventory Information System application to improve the company's performance process which originally became computerized which will result in more detailed reports. The creation of this application is done using data collection, system planning, system analysis, system design, and database. Application program creation was developed with PHP and Waterfall model as well as tested using black-box testing. And it is expected that the manufacture of this application can facilitate the company in processing the inventory of goods, then in this research was made Designing Inventory Information System At PT. Arsen Kusuma Indonesia Jakarta.

This thesis presents an approach which the small and medium size firms can use inhouse to introduce manufacturing information systems. The approach developed is generic and employs information system design and analysis techniques to guide Small and Medium size Enterprises (SME's) from specification of their need, right through to the implementation of an appropriate solution. Although there are various tools and methodologies that are available for large organisations needs, none are available for SME's. Therefore, the approach presented in this thesis provides original and significant improvements on current practice. The approach emphasises the importance of taking a company wide approach to analyse systems throughout its various departments to establish bad practices and system flaws which may impinge on the performance of the manufacturing operations. The research involved three independent stages. The first stage was the identification of the problem which was realised...

Web technologies, as tools, are most popular and widely used today not only in the everyday life but in industry as well. Examples of such technologies are the browsers, search engines, related communication protocols and their implementations, mechanisms for creating dynamic and active Web sites, security mechanisms, etc. These technologies lead to requirements for substantial changes in the methodologies for development and deployment of all systems and subsystems, which constitute any business process. Changes and/or new decisions are necessary to make possible the modern Web-based technological tools to be used effectively for Web-based business processes. A methodology for developing business software components as basic building elements of industrial information systems, implemented and deployed in Web-based computing environment is proposed and discussed in this paper. The methodology is based on the idea of creating a unified framework for representing business activities as a basis for business process modeling. Respective models, methods and techniques ensure the business objects and components to applied to currently most accepted three-tier Web application architecture using XML document as distributed object. For illustrative purposes only the proposed methodology is applied step by step, with respective comments, to developing a part of inventory subsystem of industrial information system as a case study. #
