Il Comitato delle regioni apre una consultazione generale al fine di raccogliere il punto di vista delle autorità, delle associazioni e delle parti interessate e le invita a presentare le loro osservazioni sul modo migliore di mettere in atto la governance multilivello in Europa. Nel suo primo anno di vita, LabMaTriX ha raccolto intorno alle sue iniziative oltre quaranta giovani studiosi, sostenuti da un corposo comitato di referees: forte di questi numeri, il comitato scientifico di laboratorio ha approvato le linee programmatiche per il periodo 2016-2018, indicando gli obiettivi, i metodi e i mezzi delle sue attività.

Far away are the times when human nature was considered an unmistakable organism. Discussions on whether or not to take action to treat diseases with genetic engineering procedures have always been favorable to those who are opposed, with the sole assumption of the will to defend their opinion. You claim the right of choice to do what you want your body. But the claim of a right does not rely on respect for a duty? Duty calls for responsibility. Understanding the duties means getting ready for an endless conflict of rights. In today's reality, there are still no rules that absolutely guarantee the right: justice does not live with direct experience. Only injustice has been experienced. This awareness can be useful to those who claim to be always right.

was born from the fusion of the Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of England, following the Act of Union of 1707 that initially brought economic and political benefits to both countries. The new laws enacted by the Parliament of Westminster intended to eliminate the Scottish identity, prohibiting, among other things, the use of the Gaelic language in public. The following century was interested by the development of industries and the construction of the first railway lines. Nationalism spread at the base of all political activities with separatist ideas. From the constitutional point of view, the United Kingdom is a unitary state with a government and a sovereign parliament. Following, a referendum on devolution in Scotland and Wales approved in 1997, granted limited self-government in these two constitutive nations. The United Kingdom Parliament in Westminster, however, keeps the power to amend, expand, reduce or abolish the areas of autonomy devolved to Scotland and Wales and, therefore, the Scottish Parliament cannot be defined fully sovereign. Following devolution, concerning certain matters of local interest, the power to make laws and apply them has been delegated to the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government, based in Edinburgh. The United Kingdom Parliament retains jurisdiction over certain matters, even if relevant to Scotland, such as tax, the social security system, defence, international relations, communications, which are listed exhaustively in the Scotland Act as "reserved matters". The Scottish Parliament has legislative power in all other matters relating to Scotland, as well as having a limited power to vary income tax.
