This document outlines a series of compulsory coursework related to political science and research methodology, emphasizing the analysis of social relations and political systems influenced by modernity. The coursework is structured to explore various topics such as the interplay between war and development, the implications of global peace and security, and the methodologies used in social science research. Specific courses highlight critical examination of weapon systems, the role of technology in warfare, and the historical and theoretical contexts of international relations, particularly concerning major powers and their policies.
This course gives students a chronologically-based overview of the development of Western political philosophy. The first half of the course covers ancient thinkers from Greece and Rome and the various philosophical schools associated with them. The second half discusses philosophy from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. In order to make students aware of the breadth of philosophy, the course also engages with Islamic philosophy and examines its role in the West, as well as the work of female philosophers.

Since that establishment of the Institute of Philosophy in 1972, that has been around 45 years, as making it possible to create a comparable appearance of a man with an elaborated life and critical mind. It is one of the main goals that we are having with mind of looking back on the way on learning and up to. As we prepared to overview those articles such elaborated with scholars who investigates with socio-political and substantive perspectives in the past and future approaches that we have divided in the following articles in the "Philosophy and Legal Studies" (Studia Philosophiae Et Juris) series into three chapters. 1. Current state and further trends in the political science (2000-present)
This seminar is the second in a two-course sequence aiming to introduce students to some of the central concepts, arguments, and debates in the field of comparative politics. By providing foundational training in the subfield, the two-course sequence prepares students to take the comparative politics preliminary examination. The material covered in the course also should be of use to students preparing for other qualifying examinations in political science.
Tutorial aims This conference aims first of all at helping students gain a comprehensive understanding of the main themes presented in the lecture and the assigned readings, thus contributing to their grasp of the fundamentals of Political Science. Second, the conference intends to provide students with both the methodological and conceptual tools necessary to successfully complete different types of oral and written assignments. Finally, the conference contains an important interactive dimension and will strongly encourage students to participate in class discussions. The course is divided into two large sections. The first section – " Systems and regimes " – will focus on the structural and institutional characteristics of politics and political competition. The second – " Actors and institutions " – will take a bottom-up approach to politics and show how it interacts with the structural features discussed in section one. Preparation For each conference, students are expected to have read all assigned readings and to have studied the content of the previous lectures and tutorials. Students are expected to study the literature carefully and prepare it in a critical and analytical way. There are lectures by the instructor, student presentations focusing on a critique of the articles, as well as general class discussion about the main issues. The lecturer will coordinate and lead the discussions together with the students that are assigned to give a presentation or participate in a debate. The students that are not directly involved in the presentation should demonstrate that they have prepared for the class by formulating two or three questions or critical reflections on the readings and presentations, based on their interests and knowledge as well as current events reported in the media. The core idea of the course is student participation.
This course introduces the students to the fundamentals of doing political analysis by familiarizing them with the key approaches, debates, and tools in doing political science research. As an introductory research methods course, this course aims to make students aware of the ontological, epistemological, methodological, and practical issues in the scientific study of politics. Furthermore, this course also aims to equip students with the essential practical skills in research design and methods in political science, enhance their " methodological literacy " to enable them to critically engage published researches, and assist them in determining informed choices with the most appropriate approaches for doing their own research. In this course, students should be able to develop background knowledge of the basic tools necessary for becoming both critical consumers and producers of scientific research on politics.
