MortificaciónLaboral (Labor Mortification)

2020, Intelecto Social, Procesos de Trabajo y Saber Colectivo (Social Intellect, Labor Processes, and Social Knowledge)

To date, one of the central focuses of this discipline has been the regulation of labor markets and the labor process – that is, the so-called “transformation problem”. Within this analysis, little attention has been paid to work-related diseases both as a way of regulating work and as a consequence of a social and labor order structured around the labor market. Thinking critically about labor regulation in sustainable terms necessitates consideration of means and possible consequences not only relating to preservation of the labor force, but also to its extinction. In this sense, this chapter outlines initial reflections on this topic based on the integration of the theoretical foundations of bio, thanato and necropolitics.
