This study aims to analyze the curriculum structure within the Merdeka Curriculum implemented in Indonesia. The Merdeka Curriculum, introduced in 2022, brings significant changes to the educational approach by providing greater flexibility for schools to design learning experiences according to student needs and local contexts. This research employs a literature review and document analysis method to explore key components of the curriculum structure, such as core competencies, subjects, and learning activities aligned with the principles of freedom in learning. The findings reveal that the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes flexibility and the holistic development of students through project-based learning, strengthening character education, and integrating 21st-century skills. However, challenges in the curriculum's implementation include the readiness of educators, resource distribution, and the need for continuous professional development for teachers. Overall, the Merdeka Curriculum is expected to create a more responsive education system that adapts to the evolving demands of the modern world, though it requires solid support from all stakeholders to achieve optimal success.

Identity is a marker or self of a nation that can distinguish its characteristics from other nations, because the hallmark of a nation lies in the concept of the nation itself. Etymologically, the term identity comes from the word identity which means a sign, characteristic or identity attached to an individual, group or something that distinguishes it from others. Batik is the art of coloring and decorating cloth that spreads all over the world. Batik that appeared in Indonesia, especially Java, was not the first to appear. In fact, ancient batik already existed in other parts of the world such as Egypt or India before it was brought to Indonesia and gave rise to its characteristics.
