Paesaggi industriali e reti: verso nuove figuratività

2018, Paesaggi fragili

Reading industrial landscapes in their interactions with territorial patterns, with buildings and places that characterize them, necessarily emerge their ties with networks that such landscapes have over time defined. Infrastructural networks that have affected the articulation, at different scales, of the settlements through which the territories were transformed, through which the cities were formed over time. Ecological networks that have been increasingly recognized along coastal lines and river basins, to designate archipelagos more than islands in the territory to preserve and protect. Energy networks, often visible and sometimes invisible, for production, storage, transport and distribution of various forms of energy, always strongly correlated to the morphologies with which productive territories were transformed into different phases and through subsequent energy transitions. These networks, which, in their interweaving, form "network of networks", constitute the productive territories themselves, allow to decipher the palimpsest of their stories and sometimes of their archeology, as well as possible different regeneration strategies through which they can be led to new scenarios.
