Garbage collection is one of the most hazardous jobs in our country, and workers should avoid direct contact with hazardous trash. This paper is devoted to the design of a garbage collection vehicle that can be operated automatically. The creation of cutting-edge deep learning-based data processing technologies in recent years has sped up this rise. Furthermore, major automakers produce cars capable of partially or completely autonomous driving on public roadways. Contrarily, self-driving vehicles are now only permitted on multi-lane highways, such as interstates, and are not yet ready for urban areas or residential complexes. Because the autonomous garbage collection vehicle is battery-powered, the quantity of pollution it emits is insignificant in nature.

To understand the principle of our proposed system, we must first find out the current state of our country's garbage collection and treatment system. The garbage bins are improperly maintained, or sometimes due to the lack of proper trash, people throw their trash on the side of the road. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, this is a major challenge. Therefore, our goal is to provide an efficient and economical garbage collection and disposal system that provides a clean, healthy, and environmental-friendly society. Technically, we will use technologies like GSM and GPS. So, the proposed system aspires to create a better system that will help meet the needs of the target audience. In short, we are helping the community for a cleaner environment. We have few technologies around us right now that can be used in this way for a better tomorrow.
In the recent decades, Urbanization tremendously. At the same phase there is an increase in waste production. Waste management has been a crucial issue to be considered. This review paper is a way to achieve this good cause. In this review paper, smart bin is built on a microcontroller based platform. Microcontroller would be programmed in such a way that it could control the operations of servo doors. This microcontroller would control all three components of our project. The basic idea of our project is the van could move around area given to it. The van is basically a line following robot which would stop at certain intervals below the container, the container would drop off the garbage into the van. The van would go to next station and drop the garbage into the dumping pit. Once these smart bins are implemented on a large scale, by replacing our traditional bins present today, waste can be managed efficiently as it avoids unnecessary lumping of wastes on roadside .Foul smell from these rotten wastes that remain untreated for a long time, due to negligence of authorities and carelessness of public may lead to long term problems. Breeding of insects and mosquitoes can create nuisance around promoting unclean environment. This may even cause dreadful diseases.

Piles of rubbish are one of the major problems faced by most people in Malaysia, especially those who live in flats, as the number of bins is limited and shared among all residents. It may cause pollutions, which may lead to sanitary issues and diseases. This project presents the development of a smart garbage monitoring system in order to measure waste level in the garbage bin in real-time and to alert the municipality, in particular cases, via SMS. The proposed system is consisted by the ultrasonic sensor to measure the waste level, the GSM module to send the SMS, and an Arduino Uno which controls the system operation. It supposes to generate and send the warning messages to the municipality via SMS when the waste bin is full or almost full, so the garbage can be collected immediately. Furthermore, it is expected to contribute to improving the efficiency of the solid waste disposal management.

Waste collection system has become a challenging task, occasioned by the overflowing garbage bins littered all over the environment, causing environmental hazard and further leading to incurable diseases which endanger life. The present-day waste collection system has proven to be inefficient, taking into consideration the advancement in the technologies on the rise in recent years as well as the continuous increase in population growth. As a result of this inefficiency observed, this work developed a model for electronic waste collection system in a telecommunication driven environment. In the system's implementation, PIC18F4620 based instrumentation, integrated with proximity sensor for external monitoring and level sensors for internal monitoring was adopted, while the controlling of the opening and closing of the cabins was implemented using a smart switching board. A remote reporting to the waste management authority so as to systematically plan route-map for garbage collection when the waste cabin is fully filled was done by deploying a 900MHz transmitter interfaced with the system's controller. The result shows that with this model the waste cabin opens only on account of a user approaching the sensing distance of the system and the cabin is not filled. But when the cabin gets filled and a user approaches the sensing distance of the system, it directs the user to use the nearest waste cabin by displaying a message on the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), while communicating with relevant authority for the evacuation of the cabin via SMS. It was obviously seen that the automation incorporated into the system had zero impact on the success rate of the system or system availability while introducing a latency of 5.6seconds, which is just 28.0% of the maximum allowable latency of this kind of system, while protecting the environment from environmental pollution and spread of diseases. This work highlights the potentials of (EWCS) Electronic Waste Collection System in monitoring and controlling waste disposal for healthy and clean environment.

In the upcoming years, India has many challenges to overcome from and waste management is one of them as statistics say that over 377 urban people live in 7935 cities and towns and produce 62 million tons of garbage per year out of which only 42 million tons of garbage is collected by the municipal corporation and only 11 million tons of garbage is treated and rest of the 31 million tons of garbage goes to dump yards. Many experts believed that India is following a fallacious system for the collection of garbage under municipal corporation which does not collect the 20 million tons of garbage per year from towns and cities due to its less effective waste collection system. these municipal corporations do not make changes to their waste collecting method due to some of the reasons like funding, complexity etc. but we are providing a solution to it. our system makes a better waste collecting system with fewer funding and with less complexity. This system monitors the garbage bins and informs about the level of garbage collected in the garbage bins via an application with just Login and a one-time password anyone can get this application in their smartphone easily from the play store. This application can be installed in garbage collection vehicles so that, they can decide their path according to all the information given by that application.
Now days we see that dustbins are put at open places in the urban areas are overflowing because of increment in the waste continuously. It makes unhygienic condition and makes unpleasant smell around the surroundings nature leads in spreading some deadly diseases and human illness. To overcome such issues waste management system is proposed for Smart Cities which are based on Internet of Things (IoT). In this system there are numerous dust bins situated all over the city. It will take minimum efforts to clean all the dustbins over the city by checking whether the dustbins are full or not. Also it detects over weight through the load cell. Control system sends SMS as well as updates of dustbin will be upload on webpage automatically. The term waste management usually relates to all kinds of waste, whether generated during the extraction of raw materials, the processing of raw materials into final products, the consumption of final products, or other human activities, including municipal, agricultural, and social like health care etc. There needs to be system that gives prior information of the filling of the bin that alerts the municipality so that they can clean the bin on time and safeguard the environment.

Urban India generates tones of wastes annually. Our country faces major challenges associated with waste management. Conventional garbage collection is not efficient since the authorities are not notified until the waste bin is full, and this leads to overflow of waste material. Efficient way of waste disposal and collection of disposed garbage is essential for a sustainable and clean India. This paper presents smart waste management using loT based waste bin for collection and monitoring the level of waste inside bin. The system is implemented using two ultrasonic sensors which is being controlled by Node MCU. One of the ultrasonic sensor detects the level of the waste in the bin and other detects the person approaching the bin to dispose the waste. This detection helps in automatic opening and closing of the lid. Servo motor is connected to the lid which serves the action of closing and opening of the lid. In this system, level of waste in the bin will be sent to concerned authorities. The loT data is stored and monitored using Blynk app. The proposed system is reliable, cost effective and can be easily implemented.

Waste collection system is the phenomenon or process of carrying solid waste from the area where waste is produced (residential, industrial, commercial, institutional) to the area where this garbage or waste was get decomposed using a suitable process. In the present scenario, the most frequent type of waste collection is by picking the waste from each individual's house or garbage location point or garbage collecting station (community bins or dustbins). These solid waste management systems have been following up since the ninth century. Furthermore, Traditional way or we can say that old municipal waste handling systems in historical centers as well as in metropolitan cities are often made problematic by old infrastructures, Garbage trucks are unable to carry lots of garbage at a single time due to its capacity problem due to this reason the trucks will make two to three or even more rounds for picking up the garbage from the same spot which responsible for increasing the tran...

Rapid increase in Urbanisation and Globalisation has led to an upsurge in the levels of solid waste production. The 21st century has notarised increased levels of garbage which not only degrades the environment but has severe implications at the societal level like deterioration of health of both human and animals in and around. Hence, it is the need of the hour to take time and build an efficient, effective and a well-organised mechanism to detect, monitor and manage the waste production. The traditional approach to waste management as we witness is time-consuming, cumbersome and heavily dependent on human effort which is not in sync with the updating technology. Smart Cities equipped with Smart Garbage Monitoring Systems can be one of the potential solutions to overcome these issues. A Smart City is assimilation of several integrated Internet of Things (IoT) Subsystems, of which Smart Garbage Monitoring System is one. One of the main applications is to eliminate the problems posed by the solid waste by designing a smart garbage monitoring system. The aim of this project is to design a cost-effective system which optimises waste collection and reduces fuel consumption thereby mitigating the cost requirement considerably. The system monitors the bin levels and informs the same via a web-page. This in turn conveys the information to the garbage collectors. Results thus produced verify accurate real time monitoring of garbage levels.
