This article is going to deliberate the Social Change as a part of Linguistics. A phoneme in a particular language may or may not be a phoneme in another language. The syllable was introduced as a structural unit of phonological description. The concept of language as a special gift of god has been found in several diverse and unrelated cultures. Painini‟s grammar is one of the greatest monuments details, every syntactic usage of its author‟s speech. No other language, to this day, has been so perfectly described the language we speak now is the result of historical movements and it changes thousands of years; language may be defined only in a genetic way, which necessitates historical research. . This paper examines the study of phonology in historical linguistics, the ways through which it evolves. In a specific language, words and their meaning changes over time. There exist various reasons for such changes such as one generation’s meaning of a particular word varies from another reason. This research analyses the history of historical linguistics and what it is all about. The findings of the research article reveal that the study of phonology is important to know the development of the sound structure. Language changes as time passes, it has a history. The essence of history is change taking place in time. Anything which endures in time has a history, because in this world of flux anything which endures in time suffers change. But if history is to be meaningful, there must also be continuity. A language may change over a long period so greatly as to become something vastly different from what it was at the begining. But this great change is the cumulation of many small changes. We are able to observe directly only the language of our own time, but written records give us clues to the nature of the language of earlier days.
The History of Linguistics, to be published in five volumes, aims to provide the reader with an authoritative and comprehensive account of the attitudes to language prevailing in different civilizations and in different periods by examining the very varied development of linguistic thought in the specific social, cultural and religious contexts involved. Issues discussed include the place of language in education, variation and prestige, and approaches to lexical and grammatical description. The authors of the individual chapters are specialists who have analysed the primary sources and produced original syntheses by exploring the linguistic interests and assumptions of particular the demonstration that languages such as Sanskrit , Latin and English are related and derive from a parent language which is not attested but can be reconstructed. This book discusses in detail the theories developed and the individual findings obtained. In contrast with earlier historiographical trends it denies that the new approach originated entirely from German Romanticism, and highlights a form of continuity with the eighteenth century, while stressing that a deliberate break took place round the 1830s. By the end of the century the results of comparative and historical linguistics had been generally accepted, but it soon became clear that a historical approach could not by itself solve all questions that it raised. At this point the new interest in description and theory which characterizes the twentieth century began to gain prominence.

A. COURSE OBJECTIVE After learning the topic of the linguistics and related disciplines, the students are able to know and understand about the close relationship between linguistics and other related disciplines. B. COURSE DESCRIPTION Linguists are not the only people interested in the study of language, anthropologists, philosophers, psychologists, and language teachers have long been interested in language, and linguistics has close ties with each of the other disciplines. These ties have been stronger at some times than others as interests change and as the influence of one discipline on another grow or diminishes. a. Linguistics and Anthropology It is clear that linguistics is linguistics is the study of language, not any particular language, but human language in general. It can be assumed that it lerns about how the language changes, how meaning is changed and others. Meanwhile, anthropology is the study of humans, past and present, that build knowledge from social sciences, biological sciences, humanities, and the natural sciences. Humans have one particular language, and the language in one group is a crucial window in culture. Linguistics and anthropology have close relationship in our daily life. The relationship between them is called as socio-cultural anthropology. The relationship between anthropology and linguistics can be seen from the following examples. Linguists usually conduct long periods of fieldwork living with people who speak the language they are studying. They examine language and the emotions; ritual and performance; language shift and multilingualism; connections between language, ethnicity, nationalism, and political systems. For example, linguists are interested in investigated the development of Baduy language; they investigate how they use their

All languages have a common, ontological nature, and this nature cannot be changed. Although there are some differences in the fictions of languages, the general course of this ontological nature is the same in all languages. Although we are talking about an ontological nature that is the same in all languages, the differences that exist between languages affect and determine the attitudes of societies that use this language. In another respect, history is a totality of social attitudes. Therefore, the language used by society can affect the attitude of that society. In other words, societies have an attitude in such a way that the language they use is foreseen. So much so that, beyond the fictional difference, even the presence or absence of a word in any language can be decisive of a social attitude. Of course, the presence or absence of a word is a small detail in the whole; but when the peculiar fictions of languages are evaluated as a whole, the effects of social attitudes on history, which is the totality, will be seen more clearly. In this study, first of all, the concept of "language family" will be focused on by giving the "definition of language". Then, the nature of Turkish will be discussed through the language family fiction and its reflections on history will be discussed. Turkish, English, Arabic and will be sampled throughout the study.
