In this paper, I present haptic perception as a general attitude towards life and, then, as an approach to philosophy. Within this framework, I propose "ecological" aesthetics not to be understood as a specific domain dealing with natural environment , but as a comprehensive paradigm that has to do with the sentient being in terms of feeling/thinking. Therefore, ecological aesthetics also involves ontology, epis-temology and ethics, since these domains, rather than detached, are just different. Ecological aesthetics is based upon an ecological logic, which is not the formal logic of isolated items but a participatory logic, calling for attention, intimacy, and care. In order to illustrate this approach, I will review some of the main issues I have developed in my latest book, Estetica ecologica. Percepire saggio, vivere corrispondente ("Ecological Aesthetics. Perceiving wisely, living correspondently"), where a relational model of feeling/thinking, that is, perceiving, is proposed. Here, differences are not predetermined but interstitial, made along the relational process of the experience. It follows that perception is always in action and movement; hence, the corresponding ontology is not a fixed ontology of objects, but a fluid meshwork composed of lines.

L’uso dei nostri sensi, i rapporti tra di essi, il modo cioè in cui sentiamo, percepiamo e facciamo esperienza del mondo è connaturato all’esistenza stessa dei media. Ogni medium nasce, infatti, per mediare il nostro rapporto col mondo, e così facendo finisce per modificare il mondo in sé e noi stessi con esso. È vocazione dei media, inoltre, assumere la forma di un sistema. I media cioè si accumulano e si ibridano così da for-mare un insieme complesso di relazioni e processi in continuo divenire, in cui noi stessi siamo coinvolti. Partendo da tali premesse, questo articolo si propone di illustrare una visione sistemica dei media, all’interno della quale è possibile definire i media come ambienti, in ossequio all’ambito di studi, perlopiù nordamericano e ancora poco conosciuto in Italia, che va sotto il nome di media ecology, laddove il termi-ne “ecologia”, utilizzato in senso etimologico, rimanda appunto allo studio sistematico dell’ambiente dei media. Infine, si tenta di dimostrare la validità e l’efficacia di tale approccio “ecologico” nel comprendere il com-plesso intreccio di relazioni e processi attraverso cui le tecnologie influenzano il modo cui sentiamo, per-cepiamo e facciamo esperienza del mondo, ovvero l’ambito proprio dell’Estetica dei media.

ABSTRACT IN ITALIANO: Il testo esplora il concetto di estetica quotidiana e stile di vita sostenibile. Sottolinea che l'estetica non riguarda solo l'apparenza, ma influenza anche le scelte quotidiane come l'abbigliamento, l'alimentazione, i trasporti e i comportamenti. L'estetica quotidiana promuove uno stile di vita consapevole, semplice e attento a sé stessi, agli altri e all'ambiente. Vivere in modo sostenibile significa fare scelte ecologicamente consapevoli che riducono il nostro impatto ambientale, come scegliere materiali riciclati, prodotti biologici e trasporti ecologici. La dieta mediterranea viene evidenziata come una scelta di vita sostenibile che supporta la salute e l'ambiente. Il testo incoraggia lo sviluppo di una "cittadinanza estetica" che valorizza la bellezza, la sostenibilità e l'inclusività nelle azioni quotidiane. Questo testo fa parte di un volume destinato alle scuole superiori e vuole essere uno strumento innovativo per divulgare le tematiche ambientali.

Ecology should be understood as a new kind of knowledge that goes beyond the structural limitations of scientific discourse. Its emphasis on transdisciplinarity as the only way to cope with the new complexity of its object of study should be taken even further, to make room for other ways of understanding that Cartesian reductionism has more or less done away with. This essay advocates the necessity of an aesthetic ecology up to the task of mending Western culture’s separation between reason and emotional sphere, discourse and imaginal dimension. Such an integrated thought could try and understand with some success crucial issues such as environment, trust and social cohesion, which sink their roots in a terrain made of qualitative relations, ideals of sharing and interpersonal understanding and coexistence that the economic accent on competition and individualism has banned from social discourse and awareness.

Abstract: The contemporary challenges linked to the ecological crisis have long shown the limits of a traditional conception of responsibility, based on the causal link between human action and the consequences it produces: a retrospective and individual responsibility. The continuous technological progress has had as an inevitable consequence the extension of the human being’s action power: with this, the proximity between action and its effects has been lost, as the latter expand in a future that is difficult to predict; moreover, the vulnerability of nature, as the ecosystem in which human beings live, has become increasingly evident. It has therefore become necessary to develop a new form of proactive co-responsibility that accounts for these challenges. In light of this context, this paper makes use of the discourse ethics, elaborated by K.-O. Apel and by J. Habermas, and of the ethics of responsibility by H. Jonas, to bring to light, by combining them for the first time, those elements which, although often not accurately valued since they are linked to a rational foundation of ethics of Kantian mold, would allow a fundamental advance in this thorny question.

La presente monografia è intesa ad offrire contributi alla riflessione sul matrimonio, con particolare riferimento alla dimensione naturale, quale realtà creaturale intrinseca e presupposta al sacramento. Il carattere interdisciplinare della disamina pone in rilievo, nei vari ambiti della sapienza teologica, l’urgenza di riscoprire una vera e propria ecologia umana del matrimonio, a fronte dell’odierna involuzione antropologica e culturale.
