Abstract

Antibacterial activity studies have been conducted Daun Pacar (Leaf of Henna) Extract (Lawsonia inermis L.). Antibacterial activity assays performed by agar diffusion method with a test concentration of 10%, 15% and 20% in methanol extract and 1%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% in the fraction of n-hexane, ethyl acetate and n-butanol to test bacteria S.aureus and P.aeruginosa. The test results of antibacterial activity leaf of henna extract to the value zone of inhibition at concentrations of 10% (3.40 mm and 2.50 mm), 15% (6.48 mm and 6.05 mm) and 20% (2.86 mm and 3.18 mm). The test results of antibacterial activity of n-hexane fraction with inhibition zone value at a concentration of 1% (0.66 mm and 0 mm), 5% (2.15 mm and 1.81 mm), 10% (5.00 mm and 3.36 mm), 15% (4.26 mm and 1.98 mm) and 20% (3.84 mm and 4.60 mm). The test results of antibacterial activity of ethyl acetate fraction zone value at a concentration of 1% (0.57 mm and 0.78 mm), 5% (3.61 mm and 2.80 mm), 10% (6.99 mm and 5.82 mm), 15% (4.83 mm and 6.75 mm) and 20% (4.84 mm and 5.23 mm). The test results of antibacterial activity of n-butanol fraction with inhibition zone value at a concentration of 1% (0 mm and 0 mm), 5% (7.00 mm and 1.91 mm), 10% (5.87 mm and 4, 71 mm), 15% (8.57 mm and 6.08 mm) and 20% (6.69 and 4.82 mm). Negative control distilled water did not show any antibacterial activity.
