This paper discusses machine learning and hybrid project management approach as key aspects of innovation management
The integration of design and safety functions within complex technical system development and project methodologies is still undeveloped. Deficits in management are primarily manifested through large numbers of major unanticipated changes. This variously results in overrunning costs and schedule and compromised fulfilment of important project requirements. These undesirable consequences are greatly magnified by complexity. This project will attempt to address this deficit. The high-level objectives are to develop a framework to facilitate better planning, monitoring and control of technical activities. This will be achieved through the identification, development and integration of suitable existing concepts and techniques into a complexity management framework. This should apply to all complex projects and particularly those relating to safety critical engineering projects. Primarily, the project builds upon the research which has been previously undertaken by this author in project failings, complexity and existing tools and techniques. The framework will be evaluated through questionnaire survey of several of its component parts, a review against the recommendations from literature and through case study application of the tools and techniques. It is the goal that all or parts of this framework can be put to practical application within industry.
Agile methods have attracted significant attention in the industry as an approach for software development and IT project management due to fast-changing business environments, cost, and competitive pressures. Choosing the right approach among various agile development models, however, is a complex, multi-criteria decision that can have significant implications on project success. In this article, we present a teaching case designed to help Information Systems students improve their skills in understanding and evaluating complex business requirements and in selecting the most appropriate software development methodology to match the needs of a specific IT project, and the organization. The teaching case includes a comparative overview of various agile methodologies, as well as the use of multi-criteria decision tools for solving the problem of methodology selection. Keywords: Teaching case, Software development methodologies, Agile methods, Multi-criteria decision problem

Digital transformation requires new approaches to curricula and instruction. New delivery approaches such as Agile development, Lean Product Management, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and related trends require an updated educational response. A survey of educational and business professionals on workforce needs related to Agile, DevOps, and other topics inform this report, which identifies five competency areas IT, IS, and computing educators should consider in designing next-generation curricula: - Dynamic infrastructure and operations - Continuous delivery - Product management - Resource and execution management - Organization and culture These areas are elaborated with definitions, categories, competencies, and sample learning objectives, with references. Recommendations for adapting existing courses and practical guidance on developing digital labs and simulations are also included.
Young University. His recent research interests concern IT project methodology, the service-oriented paradigm, and information privacy with mobile technologies.

Through the journey of evaluation of theories, models, methods, and tools supporting the systems development life cycle (SDLC) for software development and acquisition, the basic five-phase SDLC model supports the planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance cycles of a software development project. Depending on the organization's IT project portfolio vetting process, many variables influence how the organization selects and manages such IT projects. With respect to software development, the organization must possess a certain process maturity level to effectively implement and maintain such projects. Roles must be identified to support proper discussion making. And effective IT management: alignment, adoption, and capability constraints must be identified and mitigated efficiently.
