The Startup Way is a business development model created by Eric Ries the founder and pioneer of Lean Startup. The idea of The Startup Way is to introduce a better suitable tool in which an organization both startups and existing businesses could utilize in introducing new management systems and also a cost effective means of introducing new products into the market by capitalizing on the already existing talents through employee empowerment. I therefore require you to brace yourself as you go through the review of his best selling book.

This article analyses the presence of influencer marketing in business communications strategies in the new economy, based on the results of an exploratory investigation carried out in accordance with the methodology of the Grounded Theory. The categorisation of the information, obtained from the elaboration of the case studies of three digitally native brands (Wallapop, Westwing and Fotocasa), shows that influencer marketing actions are part of their 360º communications strategy. Actions with influencers are developed in a synergistic way with other advertising and public relations actions, both on and offline. In terms of their approach, they follow Marston's strategic planning model, which consists of four phases: research, planning, execution and evaluation. In this sense, its particularities include the decision-making based on data, as well as the empowerment of the user and the brands' agents.

The dot-com bubble in the 1990s made the technology industry aware that even excellent ideas backed by amazing teams are not sufficient to ensure a startup’s success. The biggest risk of startups is that they have to operate within many uncertainties, their market and customers are unknown, and their business model is not yet validated. Therefore, successful execution of such a venture requires a rigorous process that would validate different assumptions of the business idea. The Lean Startup method, introduced by E. Ries, gives the opportunity to eliminate some of the uncertainties and, therefore, to reduce the risks associated with starting a new business. Although this is not an easy method, as it requires minimum management knowledge and some analytical skills, it has become a highly recommended tool.
Gamification and the Lean Startup methodology have become buzzwords in academic literature and form the basis for this thesis. The philosophy and method of Lean Startup has received increased attention in entrepreneurship and business practices. Gamification as a concept has recently emerged and entered the field of learning in a range of areas, from business to education. The topic of this thesis is gamification as a tool to learn entrepreneurship and innovation methodology, represented by Playing Lean, a board game innovation developed for learning the Lean Startup Methodology (LSM). There are several studies on learning effects from gamification and on game-based learning, but there are few studies on entrepreneurship and innovation games, and no known studies on games with an emphasis of conveying the Lean Startup Methodology. The object of study will be Lean Friends AS's application of the board game Playing Lean as educational learning tool for understanding the Lean Startup Methodology, facilitated in workshops with introduction and debrief. The purpose of the research is to reflect upon how gamification works and whether Playing Lean meets the purpose of making people understand the method. We investigated how players experienced playing the board game, how specific game elements and mechanics functioned and the learning outcome of the LSM.

In this dissertation, I approach corporate improvisation from the perspective of musicology—a discipline with particularly well-developed paradigms of improvisational art-making. I demonstrate the ways in which the literature on management and on entrepreneurship draw on improvisatory art-making in order to generate theories and methods for improvisatory business practices. I extend this body of literature by showing how practices not explicitly labeled as improvisatory do indeed exhibit the properties foundational to improvisation. I also propose a way in which established companies can become more agile or in which new entrants can scale up their agility by expanding the range of possible models to include traditionally neglected but highly productive forms of improvisatory art-making.
Economic philosophy for a given configuration mode of production and consumption, in particular from the post-war period is guilty of environmental degradation and current mutations that have negative consequences on social, economic and morale aspects. The logic that inspired the post-war economic growth and development, according to which environment and natural resources are simple tools made in the service of growth, formed and encouraged excessive and quantitatively consumption behaviour. This type of behaviour, chaotic and wasteful, culminated eventually in the economic crisis of 2007. Its effects are still felt in all branches of the Romanian economy. As a side effect, the labour market was destabilized as a result of the bankruptcy of many private companies and there has been registered a high unemployment rate, especially among young people. Thus, in the current socio-economic context, we ask the question: Could be sustainable entrepreneurship the solution that would reconcile the man with himself and with the nature also and at the same time, this may generate profit? The aim of this study is to perform an analysis, involving the observation of the three dimensions of sustainability, which are: people, profit and planet, an analysis that will lead to a formula of sustainable economic growth in Romania. Starting from this consideration, the present paper aims to examine whether representatives of the generation Y from Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, have inclination toward entrepreneurship and if it is possible to build sustainable businesses which would lead over time to the creation of a sustainable ecosystem, using Lean Startup method.

""Context. Software startups are newly created companies with no operating history and are extremely fast in producing cutting-edge technologies. These companies develop software under highly uncertain conditions, tackling fast growing markets with severe lack of resources. Startups present an unique combination of characteristics which pose several challenges to the software development activities, creating interesting problems for software engineers. However, despite the increasing economical importance and the high failure rate, there are only a few scientific studies attempting to address software engineering (SE) issues, especially for early-stages startups. In a context where a wrong decision can easily lead the entire business to failure, the support of SE can contribute to foster performances of startups and making a big impact on a large number of companies. Objective. In view of a lack of primary studies, the first step to attending the software development strategies with scientific and engineering approaches is by an understanding of the startups’ behavior. For this reason this research aims to understand how software development strategies are engineered by practitioners, in the period of time that goes from idea conception to the first open beta release of the software product. Methods. This research combines a systematic review of the state-of-the-art with a cross-sectional case study conducted in 13 web startups recently founded and distributed in different geographic areas and market sectors. A grounded theory approach guided the execution of a systematic mapping study, integrated with semi-structured interviews and follow-up questionnaires to explore the state-of-practice. Results. We selected, classified and evaluated 37 relevant studies. The systematic review revealed that the studies which constitute the body of knowledge are generally not rigorously designed and executed, make use of inconsistent terminology, and cover only small samples of startups. Moreover, we extrapolated concepts from the case study to form a theoretical model, explaining the underlying phenomenon of software development in early-stage startups. The model is grounded in the empirical data and its explanatory power was further validated through a systematic procedure. Finally we proposed a multi-faceted evolutionary model to describe the dynamics of the software development after the first product release. Conclusions. The research provided a wide set of evidences fostering the understanding of how software development is structured and executed, from idea conception to the first release. The results revealed the urgent priority of startups of releasing the product as quickly as possi- ble to verify the product/market fit and to adjust the business and product trajectory according to the early collected user feedbacks. Nevertheless, the initial gain obtained in speeding-up the development by low-precision and product-centric engineering activities is counterbalanced by the need of restructuring the product and the workflows before setting for further grow. In fact, when user requests and company’s size start to increase startups face an initial and temporary drop-down in productivity, creating the need of mitigation strategies to find a sweet spot between being fast enough to enter the market early while controlling the amount of accumulated technical debt. The conclusions can be generalized with a good degree of confidence to the majority of early-stage software startups involved in the production of innovative products, especially for web and mobile applications.""
