From Powerful Effects Model, Minimal Effects Theory, and down to the Active Audience Model, Mass Communication and Psychology Scholars and researchers have sought to examine the effects that mass media messages have on its audience. Nonetheless, there is a recognition of the changing tides where audiences have moved from the position of mere passive consumers of messages to active contributors, and having a say in what to be exposed to and if to accept the message or not.

The aim of this research is to investigate the impact of the mass media tools on students who attend the 10 th grade secondary education within the formal education system in North Cyprus and their feedback on the use of the media tools. The specific objective is to determine the role and the importance of the mass media tools on students at the secondary level who reside in relatively rural areas and find the opportunity to attend the standardized education system. Observations were made in classrooms and interviews were administered with teachers. During the survey, a total of 95 questionnaires were administered for the students in three different schools. The results of the research reveal that the students are in relation with the mass media tools. Besides, it is observed that students use the knowledge gained from the mass media tools in different fields of their lives.

Media is a predominant agent of socialization. Today, usage of mass media is become the most common activity among young children and youth for their entertainment and at the one side, media is playing an indispensible role in changing our belief system, cultural values, standard pattern behavior, knowledge, attitude and behaviors by communicated messages which broadcast through a variety of channels, can have both positive and negative impact on young children and youth and at the other hand, parents are unaware that what their children are watching on T.V or using on internet which blemishing our youth. The objectives of the research were 1) to see the attention of youth that which content of media they watch? 2) To see the average hours that how much time, mass media is used by youth and young children for their entertainment? 3) To see the parents' role toward the socialization of youth about media, 4) To explore that how this content of media affects the beliefs and behavior of youth, 5) To explore the positive and negative socio-psychological effects on youth and 6) To see that how media is responsible for aggressive behavior of youth.

In the era of 21st century, mass media is important part of everyone's life which includes e-mails, online marketing, education sites, etc. Media and computer facilitated new skills that enable the formation and discussion of ideas, problems, data, and views and in another way of presence via network and communities. This review covers all features of mass media with its positive as well as negative aspects. With the emphasis of media on areas such as education, community, children, adolescent, obesity, sexuality, and business, etc., therefore, this research review describes how mass media will comprehensively affect all aspects. Since 2000, mass media has blossomed to prospect and is still growing limitlessly sideways with media sharing, and several other entries that offered real-time updates were announced by the example of Twitter, Facebook, etc. It has become the vital part of everyone's life. Search strategy: Articles were extracted using MESH keywords, such as children, adolescents, human, electronic mail, mass media, marketing, and health education, etc., from Embase, PubMed, and Google Scholar search engine. For additional information, we also used literature to obtain information on mass media impact in several fields. Mass media use has grown up exponentially over the past era, and this growth is expected to continue. It has a drastic impact on lives of all age-groups. Mass media is an essential or significant force in this modern civilization which has an impact on several aspects of human life. Overall, mass media has both positive effects and negative effects, but overuse of mass media may lead to a tendency of antisocial behavior.

In this day and age, dominated by the mass media, the human being is conditioned by the mass media and has become subject to the continuing pressures of the information propagated by it. In this context, invariably, the human personality is being affected (even redefined), as it develops new positive or negative impulses; depending on the information it is being exposed to. Many young people's day to day life are woven by the social media Youngsters are in conversation and communication with their friends and groups by using different media and devices every day. In past years it was seen that youngsters are in touch with only friends and their groups in schools and colleges. But nowadays youngsters are in contact not only with known friends but also with unknown people through social networking sites, instant messaging etc. According to BBC news research of 2013 they discuss that 67% Facebook users are very common and well-known social media portal consist of the youth and students, so these praise the fact that the youth and student have more focus and relation. Throughout the country teenagers frequently use the web, mobile phones, online games to communicate and gather information with each other.Usage of information technology in social media, increase its popularity in the youth. For analyzing the effects of social media and mass media on students, the questionnaire study was designed and an online survey was done among students of an engineering college based of Tamil Nadu India.
