In 1236-37 Volga Bulgharia was conquered by Mongol troops. Then after the military campaign to the North Caucasus and to the Lower Volga River, the Upper Volga region territories were captured again in the autumn and winter of 1238-39 [8, p. 156]. "He (Batu) sent his military commander Subudai with the troops to the country of As and to Bulghar territories" [Rashid al-Din, p. 406]. It was at this point that the territory of the Bulghar state became part of the Mongol Empire. However, towns in Bulgharia were destroyed in varying degrees: Bilyar, in particular, was totally ruined and its population killed during the first wave of invasion [8, p. 145]. At the same time, the main town, Bulghar, was not devastated as much since it did not have as strong a rebellion as had Bilyar. One of the factors that showed the level of subsequent development of the region's economy was monetary activity. The necessity for money was dictated by the need for paying taxes, paying salaries and funding internal trade. That is the reason research in numismatics has been the center of attention by historians. Moreover, the subject has remained of intense interest for over 200 years. In particular, the discussion is not over yet concerning the date of silver and copper coins with the name of the Bagdad caliph, al-Nasir li-dini-llah, on coins of the Bulghar mint from the thirteenth century. It is not an easy task to establish the date of production, but it is an important problem for numismatic source studies of the Middle Volga region. Any new piece of information that can be gathered from hoards of these coins is very valuable. Up to this point, nine hoards are known that contained coins with the name of al-Nasir lidini-llah and of the Mongol khaans Mongke and Ariq-Buqa. However, only four of the nine have been to a certain extent studied and published: Bolgarskiy, 1876 [16], Bolgarskiy, 1887 [10], Burundukovskiy, 1987 [6] and Syukeevskiy, 2011 [1]. The main purpose of this report is threefold: (1) to introduce a new hoard of silver coins from the thirteenth century, (2) to present unpublished information from the archives of a famous Kazan numismatist and collector, A.F. Lihachev, and (3) to incorporate these into earlier published material to establish a typological and metrological analysis.

In the Medieval Russia the names of some cities were associated with princely titles: thus Novgorod was styled as Mister (gospodin) Great Novgorod or Lord (gospodar') Great Novgorod; they used also to say Mister (gospodin) Pskov. It is argued that the titles of Novgorod go back to the forms of address in epistolary texts, such as Your Lordship, etc. The title of Pskov was a result of imitating Novgorod.

Портара је монументална капија на грчком острву Наксос (Киклади), саграђена при крају шестог века старе ере, као улаз у храм, који никада није довршен. Неки научници сматрају да је храм био посвећен Аполону, други га приписују Дионису. У овом раду, покушали смо да допринeсемо решењу те дилеме, користећи методе археоастрономије. Показали смо да храм коме Портара припада није био усмерен према Делосу, што је био важан аргумент за тврдње да је био посвећен Аполону. Истражили смо оријентацију темеља ове грађевине и видљивост сазвежђа Северне круне, Лире и Лабуда кроз отвор Портаре, у вези са празницима, који су били посвећени Дионису и Аполону. Налази подржавају могућност да су три празника била планирана да се славе у храму: Метагеитниа (посвећен Аполону) и два зимска празника, Сеоске Дионизије и Ленаја (оба посвећена Дионису).
