Stress has been a hot topic to discuss since several years ago. Stress triggered a negativebehaviour from employees. In a long term, stress would decrease the whole organizational performance. This study aimed to understand the factor which led to employees' stress within state-owned organization in Indonesia. All this time, each organization tried to improve their employees' job satisfaction as it would commonly lead to a positive attitude from the employees. Employees' organizational commitment was a key which led to organizational success. Work-family conflict had been manifested as a problem in the work-life as the employees could not balance their role as employees and as a family member. These variables were hypothesized to affect employees' job stress level.The research was conducted at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I Medan, one of major state-owned firm in Indonesia. The research was focused on married employees and had been working for at least 3 years. There were 72 employees across division selected in the research. The sample was proportionally taken from each division. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires. The data was analysed with correlation and multiple regression analyses.Correlation analysis showed that stress had a strong positive relationship with work-family conflict. Stress moderately correlated with the employees' organizational commitment level and satisfaction level. Multiple regression analysis showed that job satisfaction might reduce employees' job stress but it was insignificant. Job stress was positively and significantly affectedby employees' satisfaction and commitment. Employees' organizational commitment negatively and significantly affected the stress level. These relationships explained 64% of job stress variance.
This study aims to determine and analyze the direct effect of job stress and work-family conflict on employee job satisfaction, as well as to determine and analyze the role of job stress in the work-family conflict relationship on job satisfaction at Maspion Bank Bali Branch. This research was conducted on Maspion Bank Bali branch employees who are married and have children. The number of samples in this study were 30 respondents. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection was obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires directly to Maspion Bank Bali branch employees. Analysis of the data in this study using descriptive analysis, path analysis or path analysis, sobel test. The results showed that work-family conflict has a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction, work-family conflict has a positive and significant effect on job stress, job stress has a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction, job stress acts as a mediator in the work-family conflict relationship with job satisfaction of Maspion Bank Bali branch employees.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work family conflict, job stress, and job satisfaction on the organizational commitment of non-permanent employee of the Bali Provincial Health Office with a total sample of 73 employees, using a saturated sample method with data collection carried out through interviews and distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the Multiple Linear Regression Test. The results of this study indicate that work family conflict has a negative and significant effect on organizational commitment, besides that work stress also has a negative and significant effect on organizational commitment, while job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. organizational commitment.

This paper analyzes the impact of work-family conflict on employees’ job satisfaction and job stress and determines how organizational commitment and social support reduce job satisfaction and job stress. The study employed a questionnaire to collect the data from 382 Islamic bank employees in Indonesia. After the data were collected, it was calculated using SEM-PLS. The results showed that work-family conflict was a significant predictor of job satisfaction and job stress. Furthermore, social support mediates the influence of work-family conflict on job stress. However, organizational commitment is not able to mediate the two variables. The concept of Job stress has been considered as the mental distractions and imbalance between the emotional and mental levels of an individual. Stress is a universal element and these days it is been seen in almost all occupations and almost all employees. The study aims to investigate the impact of job stress on employees' productivity and commitment among the employees of manufacturing units in Mysuru. The sample size taken for the study is 41 units in the Mysuru district. The sample was taken for the 250 employees from these units at the middle level. Many factors contribute to job stress but when there are good management practices and when management understands employee's grievance and expectations there are chances of lowering stress in employees. This leads to increased productivity and a higher level of commitments when there is a good rapport between management and employees. Work satisfaction has an important role in reducing work stress and work family conflict. This research aims to analyze the influence of work family conflict and work stress on the work satisfaction and performance of employees. The sample in this research is 46 married female employees. ABSTRACT The study investigates the effect of work stress on employee job satisfaction of public organization in a case study of Nekemte city administration. Employees work stress is due to unpleasant emotional situation that an individual experiences when the requirements of job are not counter balanced with his ability to cope the situation. This affects the employee’s job satisfaction. The study adopts descriptive research approach. So as to achieve the objectives of this study, information was gathered from four public organization (Technique and vocational administrative office, Health science collage, Revenue office and Hospital), through self administered questionnaire from a sample of 192 public organization employees. The study was adopts both probability and non-probability sampling method. The data collected from the questionnaire were processed by using SPSS 16.0 version and analyzed by using descriptive statistical tools such as mean and standard deviation. The mean rank of Friedman was used to rank the factors contributing for work stress, and the Pierson correlation was used see the relationship between work stress and job satisfaction. The study finding indicate that causes of work stress significantly were working environment, inflexibility at work, , personal issue factor, lack of financial resource, and management systems. In addition the finding shows there is less job satisfaction in the case study due to limited work promotion, unfair salary lack of confidence in management, lack of employees work relationship, limited learning opportunities, and un-advancement in job. Managing job stress is a challenging task in any companies. Failure or unable to manage and control job stress may lead to many problems in the workplace. Job stress can be considered as an unpleasant emotional situation that employee experience when the requirement of work-related or not related cannot be counter balance with the ability to resolve them. Job stress has been identified by most of the academic researches as the factor which had contributed to higher or lower job satisfaction and performance. Issues like health problems, role ambiguity, home interference as well as management role and work pressure are among the stress factors which have always been debated as most common problems. This study will examine the job stress factors that may impact the job satisfaction and performance. Therefore, the findings from this paper should be sufficient to conduct future research on the impact of job stress on job satisfaction and job performance.
