This paper is related to the exposed presentation occurred at the IV International Week of Archaeology Student, held at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology (MAE), of the University of São Paulo (USP). Its contents is part of a post-doctoral work that was developed at the Institute of Archaeology, of the University College London (UCL), supervised by Prof. Tim Schadla-Hall and co-supervised by Prof. Pedro Paulo Funari. The work was intended to demonstrate the uses of the past, development, pros and cons of the study of the British collective memory by means of interviews with the public about Boudica character, a Briton Queen of the Iceni tribe who led an army against the Roman Empire during the first century.
