Gran oftalmólogo y otorrinola-ringólogo, introdujo y enseñó el uso del oftalmoscopio en México. Se mencionan algunos aspec-tos de su vida profesional. ◗ Abstract Ángel Iglesias y Domínguez was a Mexican medical doctor, and had a role during the offer of the Crown for the Second Mexican Empire. Great ophthalmologist and otolaryngologist, he introduced and teached the use of the ophthalmoscope in Mexico. Some aspects of his professional life are mentioned. Keywords: Ángel Iglesias, Second mexican empire, ophthal-moscope, throat, Mexico. ◗ Introducción En el transcurrir del tiempo, y a lo largo de la his-toria del ser humano, la conducta del mismo ha sido muchas veces descrita como errónea, y en otras circunstancias, como correcta. En el siglo XIX mexicano, después de la eman-cipación del país de la corona española, tuvimos el Primer Imperio, con Agustín de Iturbide a la ca-beza, y en la década de los 60´s llegó el Segundo Imperio, que fue dirigido por el archiduque Maxi-miliano de Habsburgo. En los inicios y durante el Segundo Imperio, la figura de Ángel Iglesias y Domínguez es menciona-da en diversas ocasiones, tanto en la facción conser-vadora mexicana como en el ámbito médico.

The points of view about the construction of research objects are multiple, because they reflect heterogeneous and diverse perspectives on knowledge. At the same time, one can identify similarities among these diverse forms of viewing the research object. For these reasons, to analyze the different conceptions about a social fact and the ways they propose connections between theoretical concepts and methodological strategies for their understanding , constitutes a fundamental path in the understanding of reality (which is complex, multiple, and changing). This paper presents the conceptions that some researchers have written about this issue; likewise, we include three interviews performed to widely known Mexican researchers in the area of communication and education , where they describe the ways they usually construct their objects of study. The paper ends with a personal reflection about the topic.
