Islam Garments LTD is one of the leading Company in Bangladesh and is going from strength to strength since its inception. By observing the factory existing condition and employees behavior to one other, their fasted and quality production and organization structure, we was led to believe that the company is very centralized. The factory is consisted with some well-equipped departments and these are Knitting, Weaving, Dyeing, Washing and Garments Departments. The factory faces good competition from their competitors which motivates them to work harder to achieve their objectives and goals. The organization uses the multiple departmental bases and according to the management this base is the most appropriate. While surveying the organization we found that the factory provides comfortable working conditions, friendly co-workers, efficient management and status and from the factory management part, they have made ensure the world class accommodation, amenities, services, facilities without any doubt.

This Project is on, Study on the changes of GSM (Gram per Square meter) of grey knitted fabrics from Pretreatment to finishing. This project helps to a greater extent to know about the whole procedures of knitted fabrics GSM Change from Pretreatment to finishing and compare with the theoretical and calculated values of GSM change & to take necessary initiatives against it. GSM change from Pretreatment to dyeing & finishing depends on the properties of fabric like structure of fabric, wales per inch, courses per inch, stitch length, yarn count, fabric spirality and shrinkage because the Fabric texture , extensibility of fabric depends on these property & also with the types of shade which is needed to be dyed like dark, medium or light shades. The final part of the project was to accumulate the data with sample and put them in table or chart as required as to identify & overcome the GSM related issues in a knit dyeing factory. It is seen that, average 15 to 30% GSM is changed from Grey stage to finishing stage in a knit dyeing factory.

This paper deals with the result of an investigation by using different count yarn but same parameters of knitting machine to produce cotton-elastane single jersey fabric. Here,the all parameters of knitting machine including gauge, dia ,Stitch length, rpm, machine tension etcare same. Dyeing process also carried out at same parameter for all fabrics. Finishing process like Heat setting, Stentering, compacting are done in same condition But we use different count cotton yarn. In this paper, we mainly deal with the physical properties of single jersey cotton fabric. we try to identify how the properties of single jersey knitted fabric like fabric diameter(gray& finished condition) ,WPI&CPI(gray& finished condition),Fabric GSM(gray& finished condition),Shrinkage (%) length &width wise, spiralityare changing with Count .Finally the findings are as expected with some variation with the result that are thought theoretically

Knitting is a process of fabric manufacturing from a strand of yarn. In this process two types of machines are used circular knitting machine & flat bed knitting machine. A knitting machine is thus an apparatus for applying mechanical movement, either hand or power derived, to primary knitting elements, in order to convert yarn into knitted loop structures. First hand operated Circular knitting machine was produced in 1860. In the year 1870 first mechanical circular knitting machine was produced. Machines may range from high-production, limited-capability models to versatile, multipurpose models having extensive patterning capabilities. The more complex the structure being knitted, the lower the knitting speed and efficiency. The simplest of the knitting machines would be hand-powered and manipulated whereas power driven machines may be fully automatically-programmed and controlled from a computer system. Electronic jacquard circular knitting machine is one of the powers driven fully automatic computerized machines. This invention has opened up a vast area for knitting. Proper use of this invention may lead to a knitted fabric of better physical properties & serviceability. This proposed thesis will give a better idea to minimize the cost a knit fabric while increasing the properties, serviceability, appearance etc. Also attempts to maximize the profit range with minimum investment.
