Knowledge of multiple languages is linked to cultural exchange, driving educational institutions to prioritize foreign language teaching to enhance students' global competitiveness. This paper explores the anthropocentric paradigm in language teaching, highlighting the crucial relationship between language and culture, and the importance of integrating cultural education into language curricula. Practical teaching methodologies, including the use of authentic materials, proverbs, role-plays, and cultural research, are discussed as effective means to engage students and foster cultural awareness in an increasingly multicultural context.

The theme which we investigate, in comparison with other fields of linguistic study is comparatively new. Investigations show that linguocultural aspect of linguistic science appeared at the beginning of the XX century and gradually ousted country study. Despite the fact that linguoculturology is comparatively a new field of investigation, methodological foundations of study of problems of language and culture interactions are continuously being formed, a part of which, we have intended to embrace in this research work. The given research covers determination of the criteria of complex consideration of the problem, including the necessity of determination of the borders of linguoculturology and teaching this subject at schools and higher educational establishments, because linguocultural information becomes a necessary communicative part of the competence of the student, specific manner, realized in the semantics of language unit. As it is known, linguoculturology studies interrelation of language and culture, but being different from culture-oriented linguistics, the main attention is focused on the linguistic aspect in this article. In this research work attempts have been made to determine the object of investigation of culturology and discover types of culture, its layers, its ties with other fields of sciences, including humanitarian sciences among which are psychology, sociology and others. A special attention in the study of culturology is paid to cultural, social state and national features of people speaking this or that language and possessing the culture with all its self-belonging peculiarities.

The issue of the interrelation between language and culture has always been in the center of attention of various representatives of different sciences. When the language is used in the context of communication, it gets connected with the culture by numerous bonds. The members of the society not only express their experience through the language. Rather they create it. Thus, the language expresses and embodies the cultural reality. The language of each society is, in fact, a part of its culture and reflects the important cultural features of the objects, institutions and actions of the given society. In order to understand the meaning of words, it is necessary to have social and individual perception. Thus, while investigating the interrelation between language and culture, it is necessary to take into account both psycholinguistic and ethnolinguistic approaches.

The article provides the ideas and definition of a language as a subject of Linguistics of various scientists and is an attempt to figure the different definition in connection to culture. The article along with the definition gives short overview of each definition, defines the each constituent of the definitions and is an attempt to find the justification of each definition. With the help of comparative studies the article attempts to reveal the strong and weak points in each definition. The main idea of an article is to find the connection of the language with the culture and to reflect that relationship in the definition of the language. Finally it provides the definition which is presumed to be the collection of nearly all strong features along with the additional feature – relation with culture.

The current study examines the literature linked wi th the significance of culture in learning a second language .In the last few decades th re has been considerable research on the role culture plays in language education. It is not p ssible to divorce cultural phenomenon from language instruction in modern times. The basic the sis of the study is that successful communication is not just about language ability bu t about cultural understanding as well. Thus, Language teaching has to focus not just on improvin g a d enhancing communicative competence but cultural competence also has to be inculcated a mong the learners. The teaching of culture has the potential to create compassion and reverenc among the learners toward diverse customs of the world. The integration of culture in la guage learning can promote cultural insightfulness and a broader outlook.
With fi rst language learners immersed in their own culture, connections between language and culture often never come to question. For foreign language learners, where true cultural intricacies and understandings are situated well beyond the textbook, an understanding of language assumes a very different form. While it is possible to separate language and culture, one has to question the validity and implications such separation brings. This paper introduces the concepts of language and culture, and explores the viability of their relationship based on the three possible relationships proposed by Wardhaugh (i.e. the structure of the language determines the way we use language, cultural values determine language usage, and the neutral claim that a relationship does not exist). The importance of cultural competency is then considered for its importance to language education and the implications it holds for language learning and policy.
The interplay between language and culture has fascinated researchers from various disciplines since the work of Franz Boas (1858-1942) or even Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767-1835) and Johann Gottfried Herder (1744-1803). Since then, an interdisciplinary field has developed at the intersection of cultural/social anthropology and linguistics, referred to as either "anthropological linguistics" or "linguistic anthropology" (henceforth AL/LA), along with a few other (competing) denominations (to be discussed below). The broad field of research that focuses on language and culture encompasses several research traditions that approach the subject from different perspectives, the most important of which are discussed in this introduction. Although it is a common feature of all humans to use language for the purpose of social interaction, the world's languages exhibit a high degree of variation at all linguistic levels (see, e.g., Evans and Levinson 2009 for a concise overview). Cultural-historical factors have a considerable impact on this cross-linguistic variation, interacting with the constraints of human cognition which set the framework for diversification. Societies provide different cultural contexts in which languages are embedded. Individual languages serve to express culture-specific ideas, they are associated with cultural identity, and they are a medium for social interaction within a specific community; language choice, linguistic forms, and verbal practices convey cultural meaning. The overarching research goal of anthropological linguistics or linguistic anthropology, therefore, is to examine the ways in which and the extent to which cultural aspects affect cross-linguistic diversity and language change. The emergence of the study of language and culture, its fusion into an interdisciplinary field combining methods and features of linguistics and social/cultural anthropology, its overlap with neighboring subdisciplines of linguistics, and the topics addressed in this book are discussed in the following sections.
