THE MEDIATING EFFECTS OF ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION AND MARKET ORIENTATION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STAKEHOLDER ORIENTATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE. A CASE STUDY OF FELDA GROUP’S PALM OIL MILLS.
Software Process Improvement (SPI) is important in the sense that it can help the Malaysian software organizations to enhance their capabilities in software engineering in order to compete with other organizations around the world. SPI is also important in the sense that it can help to achieve the vision of MSC Malaysia which is "to realize Malaysia as a global hub and preferred location for ICT and multimedia innovations, services and operations". This has motivated us to perform a simple data observation on SPI initiative. This paper will discuss about the various of SPI models, the importance of SPI to Malaysian companies and the current state of one of the SPI models; Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) implementation in Malaysia. Other than that, we also will explore about the reason for CMMI implementation, roles in CMMI implementation and the budget spend for that.
Our paper focuses on corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosures made by 98 listed companies, across industries. Content analysis methodology was used. The purpose of our study is to examine the incidence of CSR disclosures in annual reports. Studies on CSR disclosures in developing countries are limited and in the case of Malaysia, the most recent published studies on CSR were in the eighties. The present study fills this gap in the literature. The sample selected comprises a representative cross-section of the industrial sectors in the Main Board of the KLSE. Previous studies have used ad-hoc samples, which limits the generalizability of the findings. Findings from the study suggest that the disclosures have a public-relations bias, with a very general, 'good news' type of disclosures being the norm. Consistent with prior studies in other developing countries, quantitative or monetary disclosures, as well as 'bad news' disclosures are minimal.

Domestic firms have increasingly turned to foreign countries in gaining investment opportunities brought by globalization. However, to sustain the gained international operations is a challenge for construction firms. The aim of this preliminary study is to assess the level of Malaysian construction firms' sustained international operations (CSIO). The measurement scales for the CSIO were developed from secondary data provided by Construction Industry Development Board (CDIB) Malaysia on seventeen construction firms that have been operating in international market until 2013. The dimensions used for measurements are the firms' number of years of international experience, number of consecutive years sustained in international market, values of awarded projects, number of completed projects, number of countries of operation and number of diversity of projects. Hence, based on the CSIO scores, five (5) firms were ranked as the top construction firms that have sustained in their international operations with their CSIO scores as follows: IJM Construction Sdn Bhd (81%), Bina Puri Sdn Bhd (70%), Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd (67%), Shin Eversendai (61%) and UEM Builder Bhd (61%). Hence, the measurement tool developed in this study has enabled the identification and ranking of the most experienced and sustained international contractors in Malaysia. Further research will be carried out through interview with the top contractors to validate the measures for the CSIO identified in this study.
