Riflessioni sull'approccio dialogico

La relazione presenta la sperimentazione di dialogo inter-religioso messa in atto presso una scuola superiore italiana. Il lavoro è un compito multidisciplinare assegnato nell'ambito del Master of Arts in Scienza, Filosofia e Teologia delle Religione impartito dall'Istituto Rete di Lugano (Canton Ticino, Svizzera).

In conclusion, Delia Coletta's study is a well-organized account of the fact that what we see in the world is not nearly as important as how we negotiate it through narrative means. Put in another way, what we see and come to know in the world are sanctioned only because they are offered to us through an agent's subjective narrative. Events relentlessly evolve and change, but it is the agent of perception that ultimately organizes these experiences into intelligible facts loaded with existential meaning. It is this meaning-making responsibility that critical historical novels wish to thematize, and in doing so reveal the import of the act of narration. Therefore, the way we negotiate the world is by virtue of cognitive tools and interpretative "grids" which are based on the fundamental principles of literary emplotment. Each novel Delia Coletta analyzed within the methodological framework of Manzoni 's normative aesthetics and within the post-modern paradigm catalogues the universal and ethical validity of art (novel genre) as a cultural phenomenon whose principle function is to impose seLfvalidation and legitimation upon experience, to voice the concerns of individuals, to arrange existence into a meaningful unit and to encourage us to accept our ethical responsibilities towards the formation of a more tolerant society. Delia Coletta's study therefore, in reveahng the epistemologica! possibilities of fiction and in proposing to view the modem "critical historical novel" as a possible counterpart and alternative to factual reconstructions and organizations of experience, illustrates the ethical function of literature, the purpose of which is to act "as a mediator between the real and the ideal, between humanity and truth, thus contributing to the betterment of human nature" (26).

2005

On 4 th January 2005 the USA Information Literacy community is shocked by the Stanley Wilder's article "Information Literacy Makes all the Wrong Assumptions" published on The Chronicle of Higher Education. The article strongly criticises against Information Literacy and academic libraries. As a reaction, an intense debate immediately arises within the USA Information Literacy community through the ILI-L discussion list. The first part of this paper attempts to identify a framework in the various Wilder's argumentations, which-despite the title of the article-seem to be lacking in systematisation. Furthermore, a comment point-by-point is given of the article contents. The second part of this paper illustrates and comments the very interesting discussion originated within the ILI-L list in reply to the article in hand. This exercise confirms once again the validity of the discussion list as a qualified source of information, able to return a realistic and vivid image of phenomena, much more than whatever form of essay which has to be well-pondered and "filtered" before the formal publication.

Ho cominciato questo articolo esponendo un problema, che nasce da una mia personale esperienza pastorale: un dialogo fallito per mancanza di mezzi di comunicazione, di traduttori concettuali adeguati. Ho preso atto che questo fallimento ha un aspetto positivo, in quanto funziona come momento critico della mia personale comprensione della fede. Ho, però, anche aggiunto che non ci si può fermare qui, bisogna tentare di superare lo scacco e di trovare vie che conducano ad un dialogo riuscito. Ho, quindi, suggerito due vie, secondo alcuni spunti di ricerca che mi paiono interessanti. La prima via è quella che parte dal testo scritto, dalle parole comuni e dal lavoro teologico, storico, filologico che si può compiere intorno ad esse. La seconda via è quella dell’esperienza personale del rapporto con Dio e di come questa esperienza e questo rapporto ci dicono di Dio. Il passo successivo è quello di individuare e sperimentare delle prassi che attuino queste due vie. Nel primo caso, la metodologia naturale è la lettura condivisa delle reciproche tradizioni (oltre il solo testo sacro, ma facendo riferimento anche a come questo testo è stato interpretato e vissuto), allo scopo di chiarificarci i significati delle parole. Nel secondo caso, la domanda intorno all’esperienza di Dio può essere affrontata confrontandosi con una letteratura precedente, con chi ha descritto il proprio rapporto con Dio, ma rimane comunque necessario (per fortuna) il ricorso alla soggettività dell’interlocutore, al racconto autobiografico, che si confronta con il racconto dell’azione di Dio nella storia.

Fonte di ispirazione e di dialogo Come si può cogliere a distanza di qualche mese dalla pubbli-cazione dell'enciclica Fratelli tutti, l'interesse fuori del mondo cattolico si può attribuire, a mio avviso, a due elementi: da una parte il contenuto stesso dell'enciclica e dall'altra il fatto che questa è rmata da papa Francesco. Per quanto riguarda il contenuto è evidente che la Fratelli tutti propone una ri essione sulla Chiesa nel mondo a partire dalla categoria della fratellanza che, seppure guardi alla Chiesa Catto-lica, è rivolta a tutti i cristiani, chiamati a confrontarsi con crisi e s de da affrontare, insieme, ripensando al patrimonio di tradi-zioni vive. In campo ecumenico, e non solo, uno speci co inte-resse hanno suscitato le parole dell'enciclica riguardo al dialogo interreligioso. Esse hanno rafforzato l'idea che i cristiani devo-no proseguire sulla strada della costruzione di ponti con le altre religioni, in tante direzioni, non solo nei confronti del mondo islamico. Questo impegno si è venuto rafforzando, nei tempi di pandemia, come ha mostrato chiaramente, solo per fare un esempio, il documento congiunto del Consiglio ecumenico del-le Chiese e del Ponti cio Consiglio per il dialogo interreligioso Servire un mondo ferito nella solidarietà interreligiosa: un invito cristiano alla ri essione e all'azione durante il COVID-19 e oltre 2. L'ampia recezione ecumenica della Fratelli tutti dipende anche dalla profonda sintonia che si è venuta creando tra papa Fran-cesco e la maggioranza dei responsabili degli organismi ecume-nici e delle Chiese cristiane, soprattutto tra coloro che hanno avuto modo di incontrare Francesco, sperimentando uno stile ecumenico fatto di accoglienza, di dialogo, di gentilezza.

The article reconstructs the main lines of the emotional and intellectual relationship between Benedetto Croce and who has been variously defined as his secretary or archivist, Giovanni Castellano. A divulger, apologist and anthologist of Croce, Castellano remained at the philosopher's side between 1908 and 1928. He left because of his disagreement with the philosopher's antifascist choice and took refuge in Switzerland, where he continued the arrangement of an unusual document that he called "Conversazioni col Croce e con me stesso", which are notes for a history of culture and customs at the beginning of the twentieth century. This diary is composed of excerpts of letters, notes and transcriptions of conversations between Croce and the many people who frequented his house. Here we try to take stock of the critical uses that have been made so far of the "Conservazioni", still unpublished and kept in the Kantonsbibliotek Vadiana in St. Gallen. We also try to clarify the real historical and cultural nature of this document born from the pen of someone who, by his detractors, has been called the "Eckermann of Croce" and who more likely was to Croce as Wagner to Faust or as a reversed Melvillian Bartleby.

This work aims to explore the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence (AI), trying to outline the importance of a path for an authentic dialogue between the two. It begins with Heidegger’s philosophical reflection and the notion of Dasein, of Mitsein and with the work of Binswanger, considering AI not merely as a tool but as an “other” to engage in dialogue with. Through Carlo Ginzburg’s microhistory, Stefano Micali’s reading and the embodied cognition approach, some forms of the connections between human memory and AI are partially investigated. Simondon and Spinoza’s contributions, as well as the work of Yuk Hui and Vittorio Morfino, feed the discussion with the notion of the transindividual, addressing the dynamic relationship between human individuals and technological ones, leading through Gödel, the incompleteness of a system and Hofstadter. These are moments, encounters on a twisted path, from which we may find evidences for the important opportunity of an authentic dialogue between humans and artificial intelligence, that could potentially lead us further and in many new directions the knowledge we have of ourselves and about the world we live immersed in. In such open places, dialogue flourishes and deeply involves us.
