Abstract

This report describes the conditions necessary for optimal operation of the radiator used in the cooling system of a motor Perkins C.4.236.V. operated in Peru. Due to such diverse climatic characteristics found in different parts of Peru, the operation of the cooling system (especially the radiator) of said engine has certain drawbacks in performance. These drawbacks are caused by changes in the characteristics of the ambient air (pressure, temperature, density, mass flow, volume flow rate, etc.) arising as a result of variation in climatic conditions at different heights. Taking into account these new weather conditions (ambient air conditions), will determine the necessary operating characteristics with which the radiator coolant loop should work to achieve optimal performance in the radiator. To do this we will make use of scientific and experimental knowledge that give us the science of Heat Transfer, as well as some institutions that provide experimental knowledge about weather conditions (INA, SENAMI, etc.)
