In this article, we introduce a new approach to common fixed point theory for a weak compatible pair. We first introduce the concepts of R-pair and NR-pair and establish some new common fixed point theorems for a weak compatible pair in hyperconvex metric spaces and uniformly convex metric spaces. We shall also establish the well-known De Marr's theorem for a family of weak compatible pairs in a hyperconvex metric space [0,1] and show by an example that it fails to hold in general hyperconvex metric spaces. We prove several fixed point theorems on cone metric spaces in which the cone does not need to be normal. These theorems generalize the recent results of Huang and Zhang 2007 , Abbas and Jungck 2008 , and Vetro 2007. Furthermore as corollaries, we obtain recent results of Rezapour and Hamlborani 2008 .

T he aim of the paper is to prove the existence of common fixed points for two pairs of weakly compatible self maps in dislocated metric spaces under various control conditions, which improves the results of Sumathi Kumari et.al. [7].

The purpose of this paper is to establish a common fixed point theorem for pairs of weakly compatible maps in dislocated metric space which generalizes and improves similar fixed point results. In this paper, we extend the very recent result of Sintunavarat et al. in the paper 'Coupled fixed point theorems for weak contraction mapping under F-invariant set' (Abstr. Appl. Anal. 2012:324874, 2012. In particular, we give an example of a nonlinear contraction mapping for which our result successfully detects a coupled fixed point in contrast to the result of Sintunavarat et al., which is not applied to show the existence of a coupled fixed point. As a consequence, the main results in this paper extend and unify many results in the topic of coupled fixed points including the results of Sintunavarat et al. Also, some applications of the main results are given. MSC: 54H25; 47H10

In this paper, we introduce and study one-local retract of metric spaces. In particular we prove that any commutative family of nonexpansive mappings defined on a metric space with a compact and normal convexity structure has a common fixed point. This conclusion was known in Banach spaces with no similar result in metric spaces.

studied common fixed point theorems on cone metric spaces by using the concept of c-distance. In this paper, we prove some coupled fixed point theorems in ordered cone metric spaces by using the concept of c-distance in cone metric spaces.

In this paper, we aim to prove certain common fixed point theorems for a pair of weakly compatible mappings satisfying (CLRg) (or (E.A)) property in the bicomplex valued metric spaces. We also provide some examples which support the main results here.
