The biographical data about the duke Vaidotas Kęstutaitis is rather scarce, thus the historiography is a richer source of information. The available records create a complex narrative; some of the activities attributed to the duke are not directly related to Vaidotas Kęstutaitis. The records can be grouped into two types: facts based on the trustworthy sources, and hypothetical claims, which cannot be confirmed. During the defence of the Kaunas castle, Vaidotas was already mature enough to act as a leader. However, after the defeat, he was captured by enemy. Following his rescue from the Order, Vaidotas could have been given the duchy of Naugardukas in 1365, where he lived until his death. The duke should not be identified with Butautas Kęstutaitis. Also, duke Jurgis was not the son of Vaidotas. There is a large possibility that Vaidotas Kęstutaitis received Kaunas duchy from Algirdas while Kęstutis was in captivity. Rimvydas mulevičius gimė 1957 m. vilniuje. Jaunystėje būsimasis menininkas dirbo tuometiniame vilniaus valstybiniame dramos teatre scenos montuotoju, vėliau-dailininku dekoratoriumi ir butaforu. Kūrybinėje teatro atmosferoje pajuto, kad tolesnis jo gyvenimo kelias turėtų sietis su menu. Tad 1980 m. įstojo į vilniaus dailės institutą (dab. vilniaus dailės akademiją), kur monumentaliosios tapybos katedroje 1986 m. baigė vitražo specialybę. Po studijų R. mulevičius buvo paskirtas dėstytoju į vda Kauno fakultetą, kuriame dirba jau daugiau kaip trisdešimt metų, vadovauja Piešimo studijai, yra šios studijos profesorius. Keletą dešimtmečių dailininko pagrindiniu raiškos objektu buvo vitražas. autorius yra įgyvendinęs

Lietuvos mokslo taryba, 3 Lietuvos akademinių bibliotekų direktorių asociacija, 4 Vilniaus universitetas Anotacija Nuo 2006 m. kuriama tarptautinė mokslinė duomenų bazė Lituanistika, finansuojama Europos Sąjungos struktūrinių fondų lėšomis. 2011 m. rugpjūčio 25 d. pasirašyta tęstinio projekto "Duomenų bazė Lituanistika" (projekto kodas VP1-3.1-ŠMM-02-V-02-003) trijų metų finansavimo ir administravimo sutartis tarp Europos socialinio fondo agentūros ir Lietuvos mokslo tarybos. Pristatyta duomenų bazės Lituanistika, kaupiančios ir skleidţiančios patikrintą, kokybišką informaciją apie Lietuvoje ir pasaulyje atliekamus lituanistikos mokslinius tyrimus, pagrindiniai uţdaviniai, veiklos ir plėtros gairės. Aptarta informacinių ir ryšių (informacinių komunikacinių) technologijų taikymas šioje duomenų bazėje, jos sąsajos su Lietuvos virtualaus universiteto programos LABT uţdavinio projektiniais produktais ir kitomis mokslinių tyrimų infrastruktūromis.

As we continue to solve the issues of book science of the 16th century, we have to be very guarded in questions of terminology. This is of particular importance when we talk about the Little Traveler’s Book, which begins the history of typography in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. There is a widespread belief that the abovementioned book was printed in Vilnius approximately in 1522. It would be more correct to say that the Little Traveler’s Book was completed in Vilnius. One of its parts – a set of eight Akathists and eight canons – could have been printed earlier in Prague. This hypothesis can be supported with several arguments. In contrast with the Acts and Epistles of the Apostles (the Apostle, 1525), the Little Traveler’s Book is not dated anywhere and in terms of content, it is a heterogeneous (composite) publication.
