Pentru studiul comparativ al diferitelor chemotipuri de <em>Mentha spicata</em> L. acestea au fost colectate atât din populaţii spontane de pe teritoriul Moldovei, cât şi din alte zone geografice. Pentru depistarea posibilităţilor potenţiale ale ecoti­pu­ri­lor de mentă a fost efectuat studiul particularităţilor vegetaţiei, ponderea de ulei, compoziţia calitativă a uleiului. După compoziţia calitativă mentele studiate au fost împărţite în 3 grupe.

The investigation of the process of establishing the Greco-Latin doublets implies the presence of mythological sources, which offer elucidations from the origin and are important in their semantic-functional design. In this article, we propose the analysis of the Greek-Latin doublet < lat. umbilicus, i, m and < gr. omphalos, es, f „umbilical” (national and international dimensions), a representative doublet in medical terminology, but also modestly productive. Each of the components of the doublet requires personalized investigations (diachronic, synchronic aspects): the Latin component is included in the fundamental vocabulary of the Romanian languages (national terminology); Greek component – in the mass of vocabulary (international terminology). Neological lexical creations (formed on the basis of Greco-Latin doublets) correspond to a universal dimension of the conscious creativity of scientists and denominate specialized medical knowledge.

Creanga's narrative model is an important subject in the investigation of some fundamental aspects of the prosaic phenomenon in the Dniester and Prut area. At different periods of the evolution of Bessarabian prose, Creanga is a standard of artistic transfigurations. Critics have tried to prove that namely the orality, the paramiological erudition, the brilliant instinctive sense of language and folk ethos, the pleasure of storytelling are sure marks of an indubitable narrative model - Creanga. Creanga's narrative model has a decisive impact in Bessarabian prose in affirming a dialogue of texts.

Types of Conceptual Metaphors Based on Elements and Phenomena of Nature in Latin, Romanian and Spanish) In the present work we propose to carry out a classification of the conceptual metaphors that are based on natural phenomena and elements of nature, present in phraseological units, in Latin, Romanian and Spanish. The metaphors that we consider contain the notions of ´water´, ´air´, ´fire´ and ´earth´. Thus, starting from the idea that although all the expressions contain these metaphors, not in all situations the noun that names the element of nature is the conceptualized one, we propose to establish what other lexical class can be conceptualized inside the expression. At the same time, our attention is drawn to the substantial contribution of the conceptualized element to the formation of the global meaning of the expression of which it is part.

In two of her works, Mateiu I. Caragiale – Initiation and Aestheticism (2005) and Under the Sign of the Baroque (2009), Dana Nicoleta Popescu has synthesized the thematic similarities between Mateiu’s Gallants of the Old Court and Lampedusa’s The Cheetah, investigating the baroque motifs throughout these works. Beyond the stream of motifs on which Dana Nicoleta Popescu makes subtle commentaries, a baroque of nature can be identified, represented by the twilight moment, bright and exuberant, but marked by an awareness of transience, of dimming light and death, specific to the baroque. The presence of the twilight is associated, in Mateiu’s creative space, with a veritable chromatic explosion, meant to convey the astounding colour palette of the sun through a series of ample, richly decorated images, in which an abundance of roses and crimson nuances is joined by an abundance of blood and fire. Splendidly coloured, but with a nostalgic tint, the twilight is converted in Mateiu Caragiale and Lampedusa into an expressive metaphor of the aristocratic twilight, awakening in the imagination of the reader the iconic image of a past filled with glamour and noble majesty. O sinteză științifică asupra Tetraevangheliarului grecesc aflat în inventarul Muzeului Olteniei din Craiova, manuscris adus din Constantinopol în Țara Românească, se presupune, de dicheofilaxul Antim Critopol, (după ce în octombrie 1370 este numit de patriarhul Bisericii Mari, Filotei, întâiul stătător al Mitropoliei Severinului), cu o valoare incontestabilă și inestimabilă pentru cultura română, a apărut recent la Editura Mitropoliei Olteniei. Lucrarea-Studii despre Tetraevangheliarul grecesc de la Muzeul Olteniei din Craiova (sec. al XII-lea)-, deschide perspectiva, cum lasă să se înțeleagă autorii ei: Ion Reșceanu, Mihai Ciurea, Carmen Bălteanu și Ion Sorin Bora, evidențierii și promovării în mediile academice din țară și din străinătate a unui manuscris biblic din secolul al XII-lea, prețios din punct de vedere istoric și teologic, confirmând și atestând astfel impactul produs de influența cultural-ecleziastică bizantină asupra spiritualității românești. Demersul exegetic, aprofundat, al cercetătorilor, axat pe "punerea în lumină" a unor informații de factură aghiografică, codicologică și paleografică, conținute de textele manuscrisului diortosit, prezintă un interes revelațional, cu deosebire de ordin predominant filologic și teologic. Prin urmare, studiul în discuție, având un pronunțat caracter pragmatic, se adaugă interpretărilor apărute, îndeosebi după apariția tiparului, cu privire la importanța, semnificația și înțe-lesului cuvântului Sfintei Scripturi. Bijuteriile elenistice, nu mai puţin decât alte forme de exprimare artistică ale grecilor din ultimele veacuri înainte de Cristos. invocă în mod constant apropiata legătură dintre om şl forţele supranaturale, care se întrepătrundeau cil viaţa sa. Abundă reprezentări de zei şi zeiţe, ca şl ale creaturilor mitologice variate. Adeseori divinităţile nu erau reprezentate ele însele, ci simbolizate de unul dintre atributele zeităţilor respective 1. Esté şl cazul unei interesante piese din "Colecţia Orghldan". care este expusă în Tezaurul istoric de la Muzeul Naţional de Istorie a României-un pandantiv din aur 2 , în formă de porumbel cu aripile strânse-ce sugerează asocierea cu Afrodita, pe care grecii o reprezentau purtată în ceruri de un car tras de porumbei 3. Pe pieptul păsării se încrucişează în chip de hamuri patru trese din filigran, ce converg către o casetă mică, rotundă, cu peretele din bandă din aur în "dinţi de lup", care încastrează un "cabochon" din piatră roşie.

Despite the last decades' growing interest in discussing Cicero's philosophical works there is still no consensus among scholars regarding the purposes these works were written for. In this article, by focusing on some fragments from works like the ‚Hortensius‛ and ‚Consolatio‛, I will try to offer new grounds for reading and interpreting Cicero not only as a philosopher of public and political affairs, as he is usually seen by modern scholars, but also as a philosopher of the theoretical life.
