A search for the X(4140) state in B + → J/ψφK + decays is performed with 0.37 fb −1 of pp collisions at √ s = 7 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment. No evidence for this state is found, in 2.4 σ disagreement with a measurement by CDF. An upper limit on its production rate is set, B(B + → X(4140)K + ) × B(X(4140) → J/ψ φ)/B(B + → J/ψ φK + ) < 0.07 at 90% confidence level.

Observation of the decay B + → ψ(2S)φ(1020)K + in pp collisions at √ s = 8 TeV .The CMS Collaboration CERN, Switzerland The decay B + → ψ(2S)φ(1020)K + is observed for the first time using data collected from pp collisions at √ s = 8 TeV by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.6 fb −1. The branching fraction of this decay is measured, using the mode B + → ψ(2S)K + as normalization, to be (4.0 ± 0.4 (stat) ± 0.6 (syst) ± 0.2 (B)) × 10 −6 , where the third uncertainty is from the measured branching fraction of the normalization channel.

We report a study of B ! ðJ=c ÞK and B ! ðc 0 ÞK decay modes using 772 Â 10 6 B " B events collected at the Çð4SÞ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e þ e À collider. We observe Xð3872Þ ! J=c and report the first evidence for c2 ! J=c in B ! ðX c " c ÞK decays, while in a search for Xð3872Þ ! c 0 no significant signal is found. We measure the branching fractions, BðB AE ! Xð3872ÞK AE ÞBðXð3872Þ ! J=c Þ ¼ ð1:78 þ0:48 À0:44 AE 0:12Þ Â10 À6 , BðB AE ! c2 K AE Þ ¼ ð1:11 þ0:36 À0:34 AE 0:09Þ Â 10 À5 , BðB AE ! Xð3872ÞK AE ÞBðXð3872Þ ! c 0 Þ < 3:45 Â 10 À6 (upper limit at 90% C.L.), and also provide upper limits for other searches.

We report the observation of the B meson decay B±→J/ψηK± and evidence for the decay B0→J/ψηK0S, using 90×106 BB¯ events collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II e+e- asymmetric-energy storage ring. We obtain branching fractions of B(B±→J/ψηK±)=[10.8±2.3(stat)±2.4(syst)]×10-5 and B(B0→J/ψηK0S)=[8.4±2.6(stat)±2.7(syst)]×10-5. We search for the new narrow mass state, the X(3872), recently reported by the Belle Collaboration, in the decay B±→X(3872)K±,X(3872)→J/ψη and determine an upper limit of B[B±→X(3872)K±→J/ψηK±]<7.7×10-6 at 90% confidence level.

Physical Review Letters, 2009
In a search for B → ccγK decays with the BABAR detector, where cc includes J/ψ and ψ(2S), and K includes K ± , K 0 S and K * (892), we find evidence for X(3872) → J/ψγ and X(3872) → ψ(2S)γ with 3.6σ and 3.5σ significance, respectively. We measure the product of branching fractions B(B ± → X(3872)K ± ) · B(X(3872) → J/ψγ) = (2.8 ± 0.8(stat.) ± 0.1(syst.)) × 10 −6 and B(B ± → X(3872)K ± ) · B(X(3872) → ψ(2S)γ) = (9.5 ± 2.7(stat.) ± 0.6(syst.)) × 10 −6 .
