BGRC merupakan pusat penelitian kacang bambara yang berperan dalam menghasilkan teknologi dan inovasi yang berkaitan dengan segala aspek yang terkait dengan kacang bambara. Salah satu perannya adalah menghasilkan benih yang memiliki keunggulan guna meningkatkan hasil tanaman. Kacang bambara merupakan tanaman pangan masa depan yang kaya nutrisi dan sudah beradaptasi dengan baik di tanah kering di Indonesia. Tanaman kacang bambara termasuk zero-waste crop yang sangat menarik untuk dikembangkan. Buku ini berisi penjelasan ringkas tentang teknik produksi benih kacang bambara meliputi persiapan tanam, teknik budidaya dan penanganan pasca panen. Semoga buku ini bermanfaat bagi para pembaca dan semoga banyak petani kacang bambara di Indonesia

Mungbeans are one of product that used by Indonesian as food. This product has a lot of nutrition and used as medical process. This plant has more agronomic and economic advantage compare others bean. Rain fed rice has high opportunity to use for plant mungbeans because about 1 to 3 months because this land idle. About 50,688 ha rain fed and 43,700 ha simple irrigation rice can be planted mungbeans. How ever the productivity mungbeans only 1.1 ton/ha, but the productivities can be 1.6 to 2.0 ton/ha. The problem is low the yields, the problems can be solved with optimum cultural practice. To increasing yield of mungbeans can be solved with optimum cultural practice. Some cultural practice can increasing yield: (1) Improve variety; (2) Land cultivation; (3) Planting; (4) Fertilizer application; (5) Apply stalk mulch; (6) Weeding; Irrigation; (8) Insects control; (9) Diseases control; (10) Harvest and post harvest handling.

Along with the development of technology, it is necessary to create the means or equipment if it can improve the effectiveness of the work, one of them in agriculture. There is now a peanut peeler machine, but the condition is considered not to work optimally. This is because the current engine speed is considered too slow, so it has not been able to peel the nut as a whole, only 50% of the peanut peeling entered in the stripper house. For that, the authors intend to develop technologies peanut peeler machine so that productivity can be increased. The method used in this research by analyzing the effect of the spin machine to the result and the stripping time. Variations in engine speed is used ranging from 52 rpm, 68 rpm and 84 rpm. Of the various rounds of the engine, will get round that is ideal for achieving peanut peeler machine work optimally in a short time.
